Just like the Brakk, the Magnus is rather crazy. It has 20% Critical Hit chance and 20% Status Chance. This is essentially what breaks the Brakk already: you can spam Blast procs for amazing crowd control and out-damage most other secondaries thanks to the Critical Hit ratio.

 

There's just no downsides to either gun. When DE first released U11 they balanced the Strun Wraith by giving it an abyssal Status Chance; this balanced out it's amazing raw damage potential.

Not entirely fair. The Magnus does less damage per bullet than the Brakk does per pellet. It actually needs aim to do damage.

It's true it's very good, but Brakk is still the most OP thing in the game.

 

Oh! I didn't mean to say that the Magnus is anywhere near as powerful as the Brakk. However, the same recipe that makes the Brakk what it is, is also there on the Magnus - minus the base damage.

the brakk has 20 status chance per pellet. the magnus per bullet.

 

also, crit chance isn´t a big difference.

 

"oh, because you crited, you killed your enemie with 1 shot instead of 2. oh, the humanity!"

I don't think they are done tweaking the status percentage on weapons and mods though.

 

Think about it, who uses status mods which adds a measly 2.5% chance? It was a direct transfer from the old 2.5% stun chance. And Ignis only does 1% status chance? Pffft.

Magnum feels inferior to the Seer. Higher fire rate on semi autos mean nothing because of the shots that will be missed in rapid succession when aiming at further targets x)

 

And the recoil mod itself is just gonna take away dps.

 

It's okay for short to mid range engagements...but if you dont aim down, the bullets do spray quite a bit.

honestly dude, compare either of these guns to a soma that someone has poured some love and time (and forma) into... and it's not even close.

Fair that these guns have some utility and application beyond most, and they get up to speed in terms of crucial mods much faster...

 

but it's not even close. not even slightly.

Your opinion is duly noted. But it still is just your opinion and I completely disagree.

His opinion is also wrong.

 

The Magnus and the Vasto are mathematically almost the same against all factions once elemental mods are factored in, with Vasto still being slightly better against Infested. And of course Dual Vastos are definitively superior.

 

Is anyone saying Dual Vastos are OP?
