Chinese government is probably requiring all games for the Chinese version of the Xbox One to have Chinese publishers. Which is why PW (the Chinese company, not the NA division PWE) is interested in doing business with DE, so that PW can bring Warframe to Chinese Xbox Ones. Getting a Chinese publisher is probably the only way for Warframe to reach Chinese Xbox Ones. Methinks you don't understand how live works as a platform. That's a lot of probably's btw. Sony and Microsoft in the rest of the world as publishers is a different case, they're invested in a different sense. that sounds odd....but i'm no business expert; least of all a chinese one. Publishing rights and shares are two different things. one's permission to display content, the other is to own the content. And they are not just buying some shares they are buy ALL shares that available through purchase. BTW, when PW takes over do you think they will stop giving away free plat and mods? After some months, when there is nothing left but ashes, they use those ashes to make a casino... I've fallen into the mistake of playing many games made by PW, which just turned worst and worst untill they died completely. DE, please do not shake hands with PW... You will end up with a lot of your core backers that have been here with you since square 1, when this game was but a twinkle in DE's eye. I'm pretty sure that if Rebecca had the authority to comment on the business decisions of the company she would have. This. And I'm sure if people didn't spam "no PWE" or "don't sell out or I'll stop playing", or something along the lines of that, we could have figured out DE and PW's intentions earlier. If this was a purely executive decision I doubt she or Megan or Steve or Scott were aware of it and I think they see how afraid and angry we are about this and are taking that to the execs. While I have no faith in the Greedy Milk execs after this move, I have faith that Rebecca and the others are just as outraged and afraid as we are and that they WILL fight for us and for this game. That's totally acceptable. Now, if you could buy a gun with different stats that can never be acquired without paying real money, that would be different. That means that in Blacklight purchases are worthwhile. You pay to skip months of progression. While in Warframe buying a frame feels stupid. Well with in game cash it's timed with Zen you can buy it permanently and not worry about a time running out, it's like having a BP for a weapon and it only last 1-30 days and if you're lucky you can spend the money you made in 5 games to buy the permanent variant which is bull S#&$ pay 3 dollars for it while it take a guy a few matches and hopefully having the levels for it to buy.
