Vallis looked to Kor as he spoke, turning back to the terminal after. "Well I... I can pull up the cameras. If she's, uh, around any, they'll spot her. Then I can, uh, locate her, via the camera... designation. I'll try that now." He tapped on his touch pad with the stylist as he pulled up the camera systems. He was careful though, first manually checking the camera feed before activating the camera in a way that would attract any unwanted attention, should the camera spot something on the lines of the raiders.

If Emereen was near any of the cameras, she would see them light up and face her, as Vallis would have spotted her and use that as a way of possible communication that she'd been found.

Kor listened to the engineer, and noticed he was beginning to stress out.  "You're doing fine Engineer." he said, trying to lower his stress levels.  "Just concentrate on finding her." Kor encouraged.  He motioned for the rest of the group to stop and wait until Vallis found her.

Adalynn had taken guard around the area, taking out her Karak Rifle. She scouted the area, looking for any disturbances in the area. Looks like there isn't anything, at least on the surface and where they are currently.

"We're safe for a little while." The female Tenno reported. "No disturbances out here, but one would assume there will be deeper inside the ship."

Vallis had noticed the words spoken by his fellow group members and how they were all preparing for an upcoming fight. Safe to say, this made him nervous again. He did try to push this aside, though, when he spotted a working terminal and moved towards it. As he arrived he took a Touch Pad that was holstered at his side.

The touch pad was pretty ordinary. It was rectangular in shape, although it was still pretty thick. It was covered in black metal, with the exception of the top side which was covered by the screen. On it's right side was a small storage space for a stylist that could be drown in and out, with the left side being occupied by the on/off switch, as well as several cord ends that could be pulled further out and plugged into other pieces of technology, the cords varying in shape to work with Corpus, Grineer or Orokin technology. It's top was decorated by several senders and receivers that could be used for wireless transmissions.

He pulled out the Corpus cord and attached it to the terminal, working on both it and the touch pad to get an upload of the Corpus ship. If it had crashed before the apocalypse there would be an updated map detailing the ship in it's crashed state. If it had crashed during the apocolypse though, it would be very unlikely that one had bothered to create such a map, and all Vallis would be able to pull out would be a map of the ship in it's non-destroyed form. He'd still be able to work his way around though, but with more difficulty

Vallis would be able to find information on the various bits about the ship; things like the thrusters, reactor core, containers. Things like armaments and shipping manifests would require some un-encryption, but knowing his engineering skills, he'd be able to break into those. Besides, it's in his own language for goodness sake!

In addition, he would be able to gain access to a few cameras. Some of them with heavily-cracked lenses. He could possibly find out where Emereen is, given that she is in range of a camera. These little devices also might provide areas of interest too. Hooray!

---In the meantime---

The Warlord observed his peasantry.

The crew members were hard at work, building and inspecting the perimeter of the "fortress." Some were on shifts, patrolling the entrance to the base, which was a one-way tunnel inside.

The Grineer leader, looked at his Drakgoon. It was a very powerful machine, that he prized very much. It had old splotches of blood from some of the people who got in his way. His Manticore, was one of his primary weapons he used. It was usually a good way to brutally execute someone, through breaking the major bones, or a simple skull crush.

He generally preferred the former. If groups came in his way, they might tremble away from his presence, by breaking one of their own.

He gave a sinister smile at both of his implements of destruction. He kept them in good shape, polishing the metals and refining the materials.

Shaky with fear, Emereen dared to crawl slowly out of her debris cover and peer carefully over the ledge again. Below her, a group of unfamiliar Corpus crewmen and Grineer lancers were busy at work. Thankfully, it had appeared that they hadn't heard her come crashing through the levels above. She slid back into the shadows of the room, unsure of what to do next.

After she propped herself against a trashed locker, a small, blinking red light caught her attention from the corner of the room. Heart racing, she slid behind the locker she was leaning against, She had no idea who was looking on the other side of that cracked lens, but she was fearful of the consequences of being caught. She debated her next course of action; half of her really wanted to destroy that camera, but at the same time she knew the noise would attract the attention of those below. She leaned her head back against the locker; she was a sitting duck.

Vallis did just as Kor requested. Concentrate. He quickly browsed through the cameras, or atleast the ones that weren't destroyed. It was hard noticing Emereen through the cracked and foggy lens, but when he noticed it was her, he noticed. His attempt at communication, however, didn't really vhave the desired affect, what with Emereen hiding when she noticed the camera. However, though the goal had been accomplished. Even if she was staying there out of fear, she was staying there.

"Found her! Now just... got it." He unplugged his touch pad from the terminal, not taking his eyes off it as he moved back through the group, browsing through the map with taps of his stylist. He'd uploaded the map of the ship to his touch pad, but he'd yet to unencrypt the details of thing such as the shipping manifests. He'd do that later. As well as obtaining an upload of the map, he'd also granted his touch pad access to the camera feeds, so he could now access them without need for a terminal.

After he'd worked out a path to her location he pointed down the path they'd been going to a bisecting hallway. "That way"

He moved ahead of the group, his Proxy behind, as he began to lead the way.

The Doctor raised an eyebrow at the Corpus looking more confident at this time, before holstering his rifle and grabbing his Shiv. Unsilenced weapons were bad news for this kind of situation.

"If we run into any contacts Corpus, You're fired" Seth said quietly. Obviously not liking where this was going.

Emereen was a little depressed. She had met a group of nice people who had helped saved her from the brink of death, only for her to get separated from them, then trapped. With nothing better to do, she began to quietly fiddle with the back of the locker she was leaning against. After a few moments, she was able to pry away a sizable piece and proceeded to loot its contents. Inside, she found two military grade MRE's, and to her surprise, some sort of candy bar stamped with a Corpus symbol. The date printed on the package was way past, however she couldn't contain her curiosity. Stowing away the MRE's to either share them with her group, if she ever saw them again, or to eat in order to prolong her inevitable death, she unwrapped the treat to find that it was chocolate. She gave it a sniff, then went ahead and scarfed the treat down. Aside from almost dying and being surrounded by raiders, today wasn't too bad of a day.

Maniac had followed the others through the ship, every now and then stepping up to a wall and rending a fragment of it to a ninety degree angle, inspecting the contents below it and moving on, leaving an interestingly jagged edge protruding from the wall. He was doing another one, and found a Prova tucked inside the wall itself, some greedy prodman had long since jammed it into it, it's tip was slightly bent, and minor scratches covered it, otherwise unharmed, a name scratched into it's side.

"John."

He brought the Prova with him, walking through the ship, a slight humming coming from his pack.

From his perch he saw movement on the opposite side of him, he tried to see what it was but all he could see was that it was a corpus hiding from something, so he looked down to see others,

"Ok so who do we have here."

He figured he'd better tell the group about what he saw but when he got back down the others weren't there,

"Guess I should've ask them to wait." He spots their tracks and sets after them

After a bit he catchs them

"Hey guys there's three people over ther" he points toward Emereen "there's one up there and two just below that one" not knowing they knew that

The Corpus tensed at Seth's words. "Y-yes doctor." Afterwards, he started walking at a quickened pace.

By the time Cal had rearrived the group had made it to some stairs.

"Yeah, uh, one of those is, um, Emereen. But... other two?"

"Raiders." Kor said bluntly.  "Ramn." he swore.  "What were they armed with?" he asked, trying to evaluate the situation.  "Were they armored?"  This entire situation was getting worse and worse every minute, but Kor remembered Emereen's kestrel.  "Did the private have her kestrel?" he asked the engineer.

Vallis turned to the commander and scratched the back of his helmet. "I, uh, didn't see. But she did have, ah, have a Detron. She was also wearing a, um, standard issue, Detron Crewman suit... but without the helmet."

"Hmm" Kor thought "Could you tell if the detron was loaded Engineer? He asked Vallis, forming a plan.

Cal answered for Vallis "She did and she has another weapon with her"

"She has her kestrel as well?  Good, I have a plan."

Vallis shook his head. "No,but it, uh, probably was. Because... you know... why would she take it if it wasn't? That, and the fact that it was, ah, in a unlooted locker."

"Let's assume it's loaded." Kor said.  "Have you ever hit a detron core really hard on something Engineer?"  He said, thinking his plan through.  "Well, there's an old manufacturing error in these cores that the Corpus never bothered to fix." he stated, matter of factly  "They have a weak casing, and a loaded core can be ruptured to create a makeshift plasma grenade." he said.  "The problem is, how do we contact her?"

"I know that" Vallis said, slightly annoyed by the commander's matter-o-fact tone. "But she'd still, ah... have to work a bit before it breaks, and the smashing could attract... you know... attention."

As for how we communicate with her I... Uh... Don't know. The speaker systems were busted there, so we, you know... can't use that. As for how we get to her..."

He trailed off as he looked at the stairs which led up from the bisecting hallway, which halfway up became a twisted mass of wreathing metal. "Neither..."

"Yeah you're probably correct." Kor said.  He was becoming frustrated.  "How could she have been so careless?" he thought.  Kor searched his mind for ideas, and remembered something that may be of use. "Does that camera have a working light, Engineer?"  he asked, forming a new plan.

---Near where Emereen is---

The two Raiders near Emereen finished setting up a barricade. It was a sturdy piece of metal, haphazardly welded together with some ingenuity. It was to ward off most invaders from coming in.

"How long do you think we've been working on this?" The crewman asked the Grineer.

"At least thirty minutes." The Grineer man replied. "We should get something to eat. I'm starving."

"Agreed."

The two left to procure some food. It will be a bit of time before the two will be replaced with a guard or patrol of raiders, so this might be her chance to regroup with the survivors she met up with.

---At the comm station---

"Looks like the two guards are clearing out. Now might be her chance to leave." Adalynn pointed out.

She kept her rifle close, just in case anything hasty were to happen. She hoped to see Emereen come out safely.

Emereen strained to hear the two raider's conversation. While she couldn't hear all of it, she could make out something about eating following the sound of footsteps leaving the area. This is my chance! She thought to herself. Keeping the camera in mind, Emereen quickly scanned the wreckage about her for a means of dropping down. Nearby and out of sight of the camera, she spied a large tear in the floor she could squeeze through. After a quick breath, she slid towards and forced herself through before the camera could spot her. As she fell through, however, her coat got caught on the jagged edges of the metal, suspending her above the next floor and causing her Detron to drop to the ground with a metallic clang.

Now panicking, Emereen frantically pulled on the material, tearing the coat but freeing her in the process. She landed with a disorienting thud, but forced herself to her feet, grabbed her Detron, and sprinted away. Her vision was a bit scrambled, but she tried her best to make as little noise as possible, unknowingly leaving a trail of blood behind as she fled deeper into the wreckage.

Maniac's ears perked, and he could've sworn he'd heard something, he hurried towards where the corpus engineer had found Emereen with a camera, unable to get up there, but seeing the torn cloth stuck to the hole, recognizing it from the doctor's coat and then a trail of blood on the ground, which he followed promptly.

The raiders wouldn't really be able hear the metallic clang of the Detron as they were hearing the clatter and skidding of pots and pans in a kitchen-esque area of the fortress.

"Hey, you take position down in blockade entrance." The Grineer man said to another Grineer raider.

The raider simply nodded and brought a couple friends along to patrol the area. Slowly meandering to the blockade site, they discovered the blood trail Emereen had left. This would have been about several minutes after she left.

"It's fresh..." One of them commented.

"Go tell the Warlord. We're going to have some fun today." Another replied with an evil grin. Two were going to follow the trail of blood, while one ran back to tell the Warlord about "visitors." Moments later...

"Warlord? We have an intruder in our camp." A Corpus Scavenger wheezed.

This caught his attention. He sat up from his throne and slowly marched to the man.

"We have an intruder..." He said with his dark bellowing tone. "Find it."

"W-we already have two people searching. There was a trail of bloo-"

The Warlord grabbed the man's helmet, staring at him with vicious eyes.

"Find it."

Vallis nidded. "Yeah, it does. But... when I, ah, turned it on, she hid away." He looked over curiosly as Maniac went through the wreckage of the stairs, not having heard the sounds himself.

"Where's he going?"

Kor was also watching Maniac curiously  "I think he's looking for the Private" he said, somewhat confused by the butcher.  "should we follow him?" he asked the group.

Emereen began to slow down a bit as her breathing intensified. With the climate the way it was, she had thought it would be impossible to be as hot as she was. As she bent down to rub some snow on her face to help cool her down, her spine quickly arched back as a jolt of pain raced through her system. Instinctively, a hand raced to the point of injury as she grit her teeth to keep from screaming. Feeling around, she found the source of pain; a small, jagged piece of metal was jutting slightly out of her back. Another jolt of pain shot through her system as her hand grazed the shrapnel, causing her to clench her free hand in a fist as warm pain-tears raced down her cheeks. The amount of adrenaline coursing through her system had chosen that moment to dissipate.

She knew that she had to remove the metal, so she proceeded to do just that. Biting down on one of the coat sleeves, she gripped the jagged metal and yanked quickly, resulting in a magnitude of pain she had never felt before in her short life. The sleeve and her self-control weren't enough to suppress her pained sobs, but they damped them substantially as she allowed herself to writhe in pain for a moment. After she had regained her composure, she tore off a section of the coat and wrapped her open wound. "Sorry, doc," she said to herself quietly.

Too pained to move, Emereen rested her head against the cold metal wall behind her. It was then that she realized she had left a trail. She let out a whimper and forced herself up, doing the best to bury the part of the trail closest to her in fresh snow. Once she finished, she began to move again, the fear of being caught motivating her to quicken her pace as her adrenaline began to kick in again, deadening her pain enough for her to keep a brisk pace.
