Maniac looked at her and growled slightly, sitting in a corner of the room and pulling out a pair of long tweezers, taking two bullets from his arm and a third from his leg, the rest having been deflected by his sturdy, if slight, armor. He quickly cleaned and dressed the wounds, cracking his neck and standing with a grunt.

Maniac shrugged, and waved a hand at Emereen telling him to ask her before going to work on the wall, pulling a jagged edge from it and ripping that slowly straight from the wall, padding an edge with some cloth to effectively make something the was half shield, half sword.

Meanwhile, further away from the commotion, a lone cloaked figure stood observing the scene, a dim red glow marking out where an eye would be.

"Interesting." Thought Yves Lécuyer, a Steel Meridian commando nicknamed "The Ghost of Fortuna". "My search brought me to Europa but the only thing I can find here are bandits and survivors. Never any Grineer in force... I wonder if they know where I can find him... I should approach them when things die down a bit."

Adalynn rushed down as soon as she heard gunshots ring out. She had her Karak out, armed and ready. When she turned the corner, she found that the conflict was already over. Three of the raiders died through brutal physical beating. Another had vomited a red gelatinous paste. The body itself was a bloody and deflated mess. Looks like the doctor's work.

"Looks like you people have taken care of everything..." The Nyx asked. "Is everything okay?"

She looked at her squadmates. It doesn't appear that anyone is severely wounded.

"These raiders most likely heard us, and will probably seek us out for killing their own..." Adalynn said with thought. "Emereen, take your pick - Dera or Grakata."

"We're going in."

---At the Raider Stronghold---

The Raiders still kept a tight formation on the entrance of the base. All of them kept very vigilant eyes. A scout set up shop, a little bit away from the entrance, hiding in the frozen formations. He would keep sharp eyes out for the intruders of the base. He had a small two-way radio, to fill in on the situation.

"See anything?" One asked.

"No." The Scout whispered.

"Keep us informed. We'll be waiting."

Emereen, now sensing that the immediate threat was over, winced as she slowly stood. Placing a hand behind her head, she gave the group a sheepish smile and a nervous laugh. "Um, hey guys..." She turned towards the doctor, shifted her gait a bit, and placed a hand on her forearm. "Heh, um, sorry about the coat, doc."

Maniac shrugged, and waved a hand at Emereen telling him to ask her before going to work on the wall, pulling a jagged edge from it and ripping that slowly straight from the wall, padding an edge with some cloth to effectively make something the was half shield, half sword.

Seth looked to Emereen before glancing at the tear in his coat. "It's fine, I'll repair it" he replied in Grineer before he re-filed his syringe and went to check on Maniac and Kor. "Kor, Maniac? Are either of you hurt?"

Maniac gestured at Adalynn as if saying,

'She gets it.' Heading after her towards the raider 'stronghold.' Sniffing once and smelling something unique, figuring it would show itself when it wanted to.

Seth looked over to Emereen and walked over to her. "Are you hurt private?" he asked as he offered a bandage and some painkillers to her, then returned to check on Kor and Maniac. A Doctor's work is never done, especially in Seth's case.

Emereen gladly accepted the bandage and painkillers, removing the blood-soaked scrap of cloth from her wound as she properly wrapped it, then popped a pain killer. Still a bit shaky, she approached the brunt of the group, signaling she was ready to move on.

Kor watched as the doctor walked over to him, and shook his head.  "I'm fine, save it for those who need it." he said.  Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Emereen bandaging her wounds.  Suddenly he was furious beyond belief with her for getting sidetracked and leaving the group, but he would not call her out on it.  No, that battle would be for another day.

Maniac looked around, waiting slightly for someone to proceed towards the obviously incoming enemies, but shrugged, the humming in his pack turning to wubs as it increased in volume but lessened reptitiveness, he crept back where he'd come from, practically tip-toeing so as to not aggravate his wounds.

Doctor Raam looked over to Adelynn and said to the others "I'll scout ahead and stick to the shadows, Don't wait for me." and the Doctor quickly but quietly rushed to the Area where the raider's leader was held, sticking to the shadows as best as he can, he filled another syringe of his acidic poison and prepared it for a special person indeed.

Adalynn looked around at her compatriots. They seemed fine for the most part, with some minor wounds or cosmetic damage. Kor seemed frustrated, at finding Emereen in a damaged condition. She didn't let it get to her, but she was a bit worried. This wasn't enough to deviate from the fact that the Raiders are very much still a threat.

"Well, we've got no time to waste." Adalynn said with no nonsense. "With the gunfire, they already know that they are here. We either have to go in full force, or we can flank around."

Looking around the area they are in, that would provide a problem. The "sneaking" area was booby-trapped with some grenade tripwire traps. Not only that, if wasn't really anything but a dead end. Technically, it was an unfinished tunnel to lead to another part of the wreckage, as a safer alternative, but progress was halted for the day.

With the area being alerted, the scout had put up some traps against the invaders, in order to prevent further infiltration.

Adalynn slowly proceeded forward, slow enough for the group to catch up with her in the process of things.

Seth cursed as he spotted the traps. Traps. Why did it have to be traps.

"I'm a doctor not a mechanic for Hek's sake!" he said quietly to himself as he slowly proceeded to try and at least disarm the trap, Tripwires were easy enough, once that was done, he proceeded onward to get in position.

Vallis moved around the ship carcass, his MOA close behind, looking at his touch pad as to follow the route. Vallis had managed to signal out another path to reach his group without abandoning his robot pal, although the route certainly was much longer, little did he know that he too was nearing the rebel base, although the few traps that he disabled so easily did tick him off the slightest.

He'd managed to not only convert door access to his touchpad, but also the camera systems, speaker systems, laser barrier systems and even the turret systems without much hassle.

Cal got a sickly feeling while following adalynn " something doesn't feel right" he whispers to himself. not knowing quite what it is he decides he must stay vigilant and watch everything

Upon hearing this Kor activates his cybernetic eye, and scans the hall until he spots a faint heat signature around a corner.

"Something is here, we must stay vigilant." he whispers to the group.

Cameras, doors and turrets. Something to make him very giddy. Lucky enough for him, he could spot the hulking menace, simply referred to as "The Warlord" through one of the distorted lenses of a nearby camera. It was able to provide a good shot of the man, but not enough to see anyone else. The doors and turret systems weren't nearby any of the people, but they can still serve as some in-genius product of Vallis's choosing.

Maniac proceeded behind Seth, disabling most of the traps the doctor couldn't, leaving behind only a couple ones he didn't know of, putting certain spare parts in his pack as he went along, leaving scraps behind and following.

The tripwires proved to be the least of their problems. The scout managed to get a bead on their positions. The Tunnel bait proved successful. When both Seth and the Grineer Butcher left, the Scout reported to the head honcho back at their base.

"Ey, boss. We currently have two intruders approaching the work tunnel. They disarmed the traps placed down, but it will only be time before they realize that it's a dead end." He whispered over a radio.

"Move. Prepare more traps." The Warlord said simply.

The Scout nodded, and proceeded to do so. More grenade tripwires, covered by bunches of snow. With the naked eye, its pretty easy to miss. In the mix was crude, but effective bear-traps. An old, archaic design, but clamps that can shear through armor of the toughest variety? Why not. The Scout brushed some of the snow, to make it more natural, rather than small hills out of thin air. She then rushed off to a different hiding place.

It was a small crevice near the entrance of the stronghold. Dark, cramped, and hardly noticeable.

They were right. A one-man trapper was setting up his master plan. He was waiting for someone to approach their untimely demise. Kor could possibly make out the grenade trap with his cybernetic eye, but not the bear-traps.

Sure enough Adalynn had dodged a couple, with the footfalls enough to disturb the mechanisms. With the loud sound catching her off guard, an untimely event was sure to occur.

She screamed in pain.

Seth looked back as he heard a scream of pain and quickly rushed to Adalynn's location, fearing the worse. Once he arrived, he blinked and sighs "Great, it seems our friends are more smarter than it seems" Doctor Raam wasted no time and said to his fellow survivors "Someone get this thing off her!"

Maniac shrugged, looking at the ground with new found interest, laying down and lifting his torso with a push up to look at the traps, noticing regular mounds of brushed snow, inside a hallway, and when he looked up, he made note that there weren't many holes big enough to produce these mounds of snow where they were. He stood and walked, stopping at the edge of the nearest one, crouching and inspecting it with careful hands. Excavating the bear trap's teeth and pressure plate. He rolled his eyes and stood, looking for the Dera they'd had earlier.
