There was a Something Awful thread translating the game, and I got hooked on it. Then it became popular on tumblr and 99% of the fanbase is a bunch of sociopaths that make me embarrassed to admit I like it still. But they own. :x The premise is kind of Saw-esque with 16 high school animoo teenagers being locked, barred and steel-plates-bolted-onto-the-windows of an academy. They are then coaxed into murdering each other and getting away with it through class trials (I really just typed that) in order to "graduate" and escape. Coaxed into it by an evil animatronic teddy bear named Monokuma. Just to be a ******* weeaboo nerd for a second here; "kuma" is Japanese for "bear," whereas the "mono" part just can mean it's in black and white. So when pronounced it's kind of like "Mono-koo-roh'mah." Basically saying "monochrome." IT'S A WORD PUN OKAY.
