if archwing had an update/expansion (perhaps for the better), would you bother to play it?

nightmare archwing would have black holes that causes insta-fail

elite omega enemies in outerspace are big enough without the map restraint to swallow you alive and you have to fight them from the inside, etc

I love Archwing, but it needs more content. I'm eagerly awaiting the addition of Sharkwing, but I fear it'll lose it's shiny goodness quickly. I still have hope though. I'm certain they will continue to develop it behind the scenes. Perhaps when the Sentient surface, we'll have even more Archwing stuff. Wouldn't mind seeing some Starfox-like stuff as well (like the giant enemies you just mentioned. Perhaps this could be an assassination type of mission). Dunno about the black holes though. That kind of stuff would just infuriate people.

I'll say again Sharkwing ISNT going to capture people and such them into it. I'm not sold on Archwing yet and now we gotta wait to level yet another piece of garbage weapon via U17 not excited for it at all. Nothing will ever grab my attention or unless we can start selling the gear I may reconsider.

Incidentally we've already done this with balor famorians (it just needs to get added as an actual game mode instead of a one time event).

And we're going to be doing it again very soon with the new and improved J-3 golem.

I don't like very much Archwing as it is now. My favourite part was back during the Eyes of Blight event: rushing through a space battle and attack a huge battleship with our small, fragile, gear. Well, this was fun and refreshing. If something similar is back, I will take out my Itzal from the locker, brush out the dust and go Archwing again. If it remains just like the "on-foot" mission but with a 3rd dimension added, I will keep away from it.

Edit: typo.

Archwing has a problem which DE got rid of with Prkour 2.0:

It's too fast, to the point the player has no real control. Like the sonic games. In Sonic, the really fast sections have little to no threats, except at the end usually, and the players just watches teh game play itself in amazement.

In Archwing, the action is too hectic, you can t make much sense where the shots come from, and if you resort to melee, teh auto-targeting is like Sonic, with the exception that you have to keep mashing E. But the game basically autopilots shredding the enemies.

Archwing needs to go back to the drawing board and have its movement and UI completely rethought.

DE is capable of making bold changes for the better, as it did with Parkour 2.0 (still needs some tweaks though). Archwing needs to be SOON in the crosshair for a total revamp.

With the underwater tileset, the tech is there to make all tilesets Archwing viable.  The Phobos Desert, Earth Forest, Ceres shipyards, Europa glacier, etc.  All of these could have interchanging Warframe/Archwing segments just as a start.

What I think Archwing really needs though are game modes that feel appropriate to Archwing.  Exterminate and Sabotage are okay for Trench Run maps, but interception is just too non-Archwing to be any fun.  If Tenno are expected to move around a lot, then Archwing needs to be constantly moving.  An endless defense mode that was more like an escort across a map per wave would be pretty cool I think.  I'd like to escort a rover over a barren desert and through canyons, fending off Grineer Ogris' and ground based hardware like tanks and buggies, just as one example.

And consistently bigger targets.  Ogris/Gox sized ideally.

Besides that, game play tweaks such as sliding, which has various levels of drag depending on facing during the slide.  Looking back puts on the brakes.  Just as well, the archwing itself can obscure the cross-hairs during a slide.  This is no bueno.

To add onto Littleman88's point, being able to have squad members jump to the ground to modify objectives and handle small map stuff while others fend off the surface enemies would be a great combo. I love the idea of having the Survival Group mentality within a squad. One goes and gets loot while the others draw attention away from them.
