The ocean is thought of as a romantic, beautiful place - even more so at sunset, so sailing out into the open ocean in a small boat until land is just a misty sight in the distance seems perfect. All alone amidst the sea with mist beginning to gather above it. From here, let your imagination describe the shadow that flies past beneath you. A colossal squid that knocks you from your boat and touches your ankle ever so gently before dragging you down into the black depths of the water? The coal black eye of a megalodon shark as its shadow approaches the surface below you and devours you whole? The quiet, growing crescendo of splashing made by a thousand leeches coming up to feed? Or maybe something that never should have been allowed to exist by some higher power?
