Vortanx
I'll throw my hat in the ring here. I had never had a reason to post on the forum before but this is worrying. My PC is a 4770k @ 4.5ghz anda 980 TI, I am running a 21:9 3440x1440p monitor and before this patch my framerate never went below 60 in any mission ever. I just did a T3 Defense and my framerate was below 30 nearly any time I was ADS or near a bunch of mobs meleeing. I have always run at maximum settings. RiouHotaru
So apparently it might have to do with Shadow settings or Anti-aliasing setting. Try turning them down. I've had a friend tell me that altering either of these settings seems to have fixed the problem for them. XenosInfinity
Your upgrades are lovely, Mr Adam, but can I please have the other 50% of my framerate back now? I cannot afford to buy a new laptop just to play this game and I'm dropping frames every time a bullet comes out of a gun right now.
lioganda
I think the graphical enhancements are quite lovely! My framerate hasnt changed (in some places its gotten better) and its nice changed to have better quality! Thanks DE for making your game looks way better! :D
dragonero78
Terrible problems with fps, can't play the missions, in the relays and the ship the game runs fine, but only there
schvantzi
Getting heavy graphical hitching/lag spikes after the update.. Prior, this game and other AAA titles ran fine, at a high FPS. CloudCatcher
I think this counts as a graphical glitch? If this doesnt belong here please let me know. Anyway, this item in our dojo is acting in a strange way that i think is easiest to convey through images: Spoiler It seems that this gate is only visible through other objects, and even then its some sort of blocky, untextured version. I'm pretty sure this was unintended Edited March 4, 2016 by CloudCatcher
Mcl_Blue
My game just literally ran so slow it crashed. What was the cause for that? Opening a door. Opening a door dropped my fps to less than 1, and crashed my game. I did verify and optimize the download cache after updating. NightmareT12
Guys, remember to Optimize the Download Cache. I seemed to have LONG loadtimes (didn't truly test the game because I didn't have the time) but doing that changed it. Also, on my end so far, no issues. I'll post again when I get to try the Void, as I know for certain of some areas where I could see a difference, but so far, so good. I'm pretty sure posting specs in case stuff's going wrong is going to help guys.
Ayarai
Not sure if it's an issue or just work in progress, but the lighting seems somewhat off (too bright) on the grineer shipyard and asteroid base tilesets. Especially in the outdoor portions of the shipyard tileset, the lighting seems so bright that you would think it is somewhat sunny weather - that is if it wasn't for the cloud covered sky, rain and the such. I've had a friend tell me that altering either of these settings seems to have fixed the problem for them. This seems to have worked well for the time being. SkiGloves
When I first logged on I was greeted to the same frameloss, slow down and drops in audio quality as I'd been suffering in large underwater sections in Uranus. After tanking the graphical settings, that problem has subsided and my framerate is now exceedingly high and I believe varies at numbers above the 30 I'm used to normally (playing Maglev Nezha with the new graphics feels very strange, I'm not sure why, my feelings are shouting framerate issues). I'd love an option to lock the framerate at 30, as I hate variations in graphical quality far more than lower graphical quality. Overall, things are looking far more awesome now though, with me finally being able to see things (and maxing out brightness or messing with contrast in futile attempts to make things visible). Edit: It would appear that the problem is entirely caused by some part of the antialiasing option that isn't available until you restart the game. If playing with antialiasing disabled, then changing to High (SMAA) then things look excellent, but with no slow down. Upon relogging with low settings I suffered slowdown. Upon relogging with high settings I suffered the extreme slowdown and audio quality drops I associate with Uranus. Amythist
as with others I'm getting massive framerate drop myself, couldn't even complete the Gift of the Lotus when I tried because it was hitching/lagging so bad it was unplayable, can I get an option to turn off these new lighting effects if having them is going to render the game unplayable? A1astor
definitely with this new update (at least for me) is unplayable, it seems to have a terrible lag and not by the net is so new graphics looks great now but it serves if the FPS fall like throwing a stone into a lake? personally I can not play any scenario only be on the ship. hopefully consider the idea of putting an option that devuela old graphics or she had. enizer
The first mission I started after the patch(saturn - phoebe, nightmare capture) I dropped to 0.2 FPS every time I tried to move, it was so slow that I could not navigate to a menu to quit the game, had to end task it. Issue did not happen again after a restart, and changing some settings back and forth(ended up identical to what it was before) Do some old settings conflict with the new features in a way that's fixed by re-doing the settings ingame? In general changes, the new lighting looks nice, I especially liked some new reflections I don't remember seeing before, I don't remember ever seeing a shiny anything in the grineer tileset for example, but it looks quite cool. I am however having some J.J. Abrams level of lens flare that I cant seem to disable by any means. I don't remember seeing that before, and to be honest, lens flare is something I wish I could disable in real life.. this is getting old FAST Is anyone else having an issue with this intense lens flare on nearly every light source? please add some way to disable lens flare. Amythist
so I disabled DX10, tweaked my in game settings and it's almost playable now, I still get framerate hits but at least it's not running at sub 10 fps all the time, but if this is what the preformance is going to be like with the new lighting effects and such we we get an option to disable them, sure they look pretty but if they make the game nearly unplayable on my older computer I would rather not have them and have the game I enjoy running smoothly
