Question

I almost feel as though its designd to just tease us. 25 kills?! 15 is the best iv done and never past that.

They kill us instantly and hav the HP of an actual boss. I can 2-3shot them with my Hek but other people almost never bring appropriate weapons (Soma against enemis that instakill?!)

I need tips for lasting longer. I use Mirage currently, with Hek as my primary and Vaykor Marelok as my secondary that i dont use cus Hek is Hekka gud. My main issue is that regardless of my frame, they tend to 1-2shot me

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess your somewhere between MR9-11.  With the enimies scalling up everytime you kill them, getting 1shotted is bound to happen. I hit 162 kills, got lazy and didn't watch my energy and died. The enimies were lvl 372. At that level you need to be putting out as much damage as possible. I loved my Hek, but it wasn't worth it to put a bunch of forma into for me knowing better weapons were coming up (unlocked via MR).

For frames i've used both Ash (blade storm build) and Valkyer (max pwr str i could get and best energy per sec I could get) and once hitting lvl 150 enimies it started to take multiple hits on them to down them... key being max out mods and forma frames/weapons and build for this specialized misson.    going for the 1 button wonder type (BS ash, EV trin, blind miarge) or lasting duration (hysteria Valk, invis loki)... wepaons you actually need to aim with vs fire and forgot (gammacor spam, sonicor spam)... combo of the frame and weapons (loki invis/disarm, ivara perma invis stealh kill)

A lot of it will come down to - how will you survive...  constant movement, rely on stealth, various invulnerability, high health/armor/shield....   if you cant stay alive, your weapons wont really matter to much.  so max out your mods and forma as needed to make them all fit, depending on the build/play style your looking for.

I use hall of mirrors to migitate direct damag.

But still, if im gunna fight 25 enemies with the bullet absorbtion of a huggies diaper and will ohko me, i might as well forget that and buy one. Way easir to mak 20 plat than to do that bs. It seems only very specific frames will vn b able to participate, none of which i have.

Im mr8 btw. I was mr19 on the PC before i quit a while ago

Try Wukong. Avoid those magnetic mines and you can't die. Use a powerful melee weapon like War or Nikana Prime to kill them with a thousand cuts.

Dont hav any of that. I understand this is primarily for uppr class players but come on. Its just ridiculous if you dont have extrmly specific things. AND your team has to also be on the sam page

The problem is its basically undoable without extremly specific things. Mostly a highly specific, usually hard to get frame. If you cant be invisable or have I-frames, you cant do Rathuum straight up at all. Not unless you and your team are heavily coordinated and flawless.

Id love to have that Reactor but its just not worth the stress and effort. I cant get any of that stuff before Rathuum ends without spending a ton of plat. And if im spending plat, i may as well just buy reactors

Just to put it out there: My strategy is usually to cast hall of mirrors when an enemy shows up on radar, and Hek him to death. I camp in the room with the energy spawn as its small and easiest to control. Iv gone as far as 18 solo now, but if i even so much as miss a single shot im dead. And if they both come into the room im also dead. And if im in the open for ven just a bit im dead. And if im not constantly moving and jumping when im engaging one im dead.

Too much effort and heavy coordination for something i can buy easier. Im always broke and usually never spend real money. AND i have crappy stuff to sell (Currently trying to sell 2 Blind Rages though. I might use one for Mirage). But merching would still be easier than this. And less stressful

Viagra?

All joking aside, I tried it again earlier today since my first try when I first unlocked that node... the team I was on then had an Ash Prime that carried us to 23 kills alone since most of us died like 8 minutes in because of constant Ogris/ Ignis spam (Hard to keep running when their weapons can hit anywhere it turns out!) #ZuraMVP This mission really is meant for only those with the best stuff... Anyway, I died in the first 5 seconds of spawning in without even being able to do anything this time, but a Limbo carried us the rest of the way to 26 kills from 21 while helping the other 2 dudes (A Wuking who died because all the executioners were on him at once and an Ash Prime who was who knows where) that had started with 'im as well. So, I would say Wukong and Limbo.

Realistically though you're definitely better off just buying a reactor though

I think I found the problem: You're going solo. With 3 friends, each of you needs to score just 6,25 kills on avarage before you get killed yourself, to acquire the potato. Easier and likely also quicker than trying to survive 25 bosses by yourself - this is how I acquired it.

You said it yourself:

- you don't have the proper gear; and I don't mean one specific frame, but as you said, "upper class" in general to be viable

- this mode takes tons of skill (or yes, cheese works too) to get farther on

- you don't need "extremely specific things" to get the 25 kills you need for the reward

- you need to have a coordinated team if you aren't able to solo, but why do you state this as a negative?

I'm MR8 without end game mods/gear- quickly realized that if I wanted 25 kills I needed to ask for help- not every aspect of this game needs to be accessible to the whole spectrum of players

I did it. But have been told by clan mates to go and do it again as it has a 0.25% chance of dropping some really rare mod.

I think you want to do Rathuum 3 for that, instead of the endless... Also, if it really has that low drop chance, you're looking at an average of 400 completed matches for 1 drop.

I would recommend spending your time doing something that's more fun and productive, but if you really, really enjoy it, then sure, go ahead.

There is no silver bullet in this game or one-size-fits-all frame and weapon. If your HoM MIrage doesn't work try different frame and/or weapon. At MR8 you should already have a couple. If you are just after 25 waves for reactor the Hysteria Valkyr is no brainer. And don't tell me it is High End or hard to get. I died on purpose after wave 101 staying all the time in Hysteria. Yes, after so-called "nerf". If that amount of cheese is not for you then I can recommend also Chilling Globe Frost + Simulor. Make your base on ammo spawn and fire at anything that gets near. Both are neither hard to get nor expensive to build.

AND if you are going in team then of course everyone has to be on the same page. If you are alone there is only 2 executors against you. If you are in full cell with 3 jerks looking for carry on you are facing 5 executors basically by yourself. It is not easier by any means.

Yeah, Max efficiency Valkyr works great. Just go in solo, abort until you get two executioners you can deal with  in an arena you like(I went to 251 against Zura and Nok in the cave map). Run around evading until you've gotten about a hundred energy, then hit hysteria and go to town. You don't need to worry too much about power strength, just use slide, charge attack induced finishers, and ground slam ground finishers, and you'll one shot them until somewhere in the low hundreds.

Cheesy, but we use the tools we're given.
