Consumable concept: Prime Forma

Concept of a "Refined Forma"

A "Refined Forma" could be used polarize any slot to a 'Koneksi' polarity. (The old polarity that used to belong to Fusion Cores pre-Endo update)

A 'Koneksi' polarity will match any mod placed into that slot making them ideal for aura or exilus slots.

How to obtain:

A blueprint to build one could be obtained from Baro Ki'Teer every time he visits for around 550 ducats each. The blueprint would require: 4x Forma, 500x Void Traces & 10x Orokin Cells, with a 72-hour build requirement. This would allow players to farm & obtain them for free by putting in a fair amount of time & effort, but with a respectable build requirement.

or

Purchasable from the market place for around 75platinum each.

Discussion:

Having the blueprints cost 500-750 ducats would mean: players need to put in enough effort to purchase multiple blueprints, those who have an abundance of ducats something to spend them on and give people who want to sell their prime junk, a slightly larger market. As for the crafting costs, I believe these to be only fair since you are combining multiple polarities, the void traces seem that they suit being in there and give a slight MR requirement of MR8 (minimum of MR8 to hold 500 traces) to the blueprint.

Changed name of item to 'Refined' instead of 'Prime' to better match Lore.

Forma is already an actual prime part which can be obtained from the Void..

And just like that, your concept goes to the Recycle Bin.

You know that Baro sells prime parts yes? Let me know when you get a primed point blank, or a prime fury from the void :p

Those are mods... and you get their normal ones from other planets like earth etc. The primed mods come from the void and Baro is the only one who can obtain them.

maybe that's why he is called "void trader" duh.. you dont get forma from other planets rather than Void..

So, we came to a conclusion that calling it "Prime Forma" makes no sense at all  ^o^

But if Baro is the void trader, and he can obtain prime variants of normal items, then nothing says he can't get a prime forma. Just so happens that he found a prime forma right next to all of his other prime items.

And if Baro is the only one who can obtain said primed mods, he probably the only one who can obtain prime forma. Kinda like how you can get get regular mods in the void, but can't get the primed versions from anywhere but Baro.

Your logic is bad and you should feel bad.

Well, it's technically not a prime part itself but more a component, but as (Xbox One)Testlplayer said, "Refined Forma" does sound better and fits it well.

Prime part/ prime component what's the difference? it's covered in gold and comes from void

Lore dive:

Primed parts are made using orokin technology, the primed mods baro sells are obviously what he found in the void that the orokin made, whereas the mods we get are the ones that were not made using orokin technology. Forma is just a crafting component the orokin used same as we use nano spores etc. I think xKlay was just trying to say that you can not get a primed forma any more than a primed nano spore, I just couldn't think if a better name for it and just used the name as a base concept,

Problem comes from Boar Prime.

One of the finest examples of Tenno craftsmanship, the Boar Prime offers a higher rate of fire and clip size with a slight decrease in per-shot damage .

The Boar Prime was made from Orokin technology, and is still referred to as Boar Prime. The only requirement for something to be called Prime is for it to use Orokin technology to enhance it.

If we want a completely Lore happy name. Primordial Forma (The Forma the Tyl Regor discovers when he unearths hunhow) would probably the best. But considering how we have warframes, and prime warframes. Mods and Prime mods, there is no reason we can't have forma and prime forma.

Warframes are purely made from Orokin technology, and yet there is a distinction between Excalibur and Excalibur Prime. Prime Forma can still exist, just one of those things only Baro can get his hands on from wherever he gets his prime stuff anyway.

The overall concept of this idea is fantastic. However, i'd prefer it to be the rare drop of hard to find relics, or maybe a rare drop in Void 3.0 if that ever happens. However, instead of needing 500 void traces, the blueprint could just be MR locked? and, for those of us who grind plat, 75 plat is cheap for an Omni-polarity.

(side note, why not "Omni-Forma" if prime is triggering too many people?)

This concept has been posted several times before. All of them failed miserably. What makes you think you will succeed?
