Ace_Player
This game sounds absolutely amazing with a good set of headphones. Those Grineer grunts scare the crap outta me regularly!

Yanga
Headphones, most people in the house don't wanna hear it... but it's still awesome :P
Rhorge
I use my headphones for everything. Sparing my family the loud noises of Grineer dying in agony.
VanillaZ
Using headphones and the razer surround software.
DaftMeat
I play on a nice Vaio laptop, but it has terrible speakers. Luckily, I have a nice pair of Bose noise-canceling headphones that more than make up for it.
Keiiken
Surround sound. Is there any other way? Surround: Its nice to hear the enemies trying to sneak up on you. Headphones: no voice chat feedback/echo. Headphones + Surround: Time to die grineer scum!
Feldgrep
What's the difference between the 2 types of headphones?
Saenol
2.1 (stereo + sub) speakers. Surround: Its nice to hear the enemies trying to sneak up on you. Proper sound implementation should allow this with two speakers, as you have only two ears. Edited July 22, 2013 by Saenol
BeerDone
Always headphones, always surround emulated. My speakers are only for YouTube.

Tulzscha
Headphones with good layering and soundstage, the only way to go! Nuforce uDAC + Creative Aurvana Live! = eargasm Also I've had great results with using more wide open headphones (with a really WIDE soundstage) although some directional cues sound unnatural because it's like you're in the middle row of a huge concert hall. Sennheiser HD800, AKG K701/702, Beyerdynamic DT990 would fall into this category. One could get used to it though, but I prefer a more comfortably sized spatial image sound-wise like on the CAL!'s. [DE]George
Hey guys, The difference between the two headphone types: Stereo: Regular stereo headphones that play the game back in stereo Surround Emulation: Some headphones can simulate surround sound (5.1 or 7.1) but in a headphone format. An example of this is the Logitech G35.

sambarpowder
Technically I don't listen to warframe... I listen to my itunes, but still, I do it with surround sound. It's impossible to get a good set of headphones where I live.
Soopineer
On my Stereo Subwoofers, spreading the loud void noise from the menu through the whole damn house.. It hurts.

SwordAxeMace
Standard stereo speakers, but I'm usually duel screening a series and therefore turn down the sound :/ Edited July 22, 2013 by SwordAxeMace

I mostly use my headphones with surround emulation in them, it's a Sound Blaster Rage USB Headset I got. That's so I can use skype or other VOIP options with friends so we can talk as we kill defense waves.
