Wyrmius_Prime
Cassowar has status, and most importantly, it's attack speed isn't the same as the speed of a snail! THANK YOU!!
OvisCaedo
Oh, thank god they finally got a status melee correct. Maybe now people will finally be able to get some use out of that "condition overload" mod or something.

XADaemonic
I was going to say, what about Lesion that even gets a buff on status procs, but I see Razorlight covered that.
shut
We already have the Lesion, though. Except the Lesion is way stronger and way more reliable (albeit with a hilariously short range).

It's such an interesting concept, but its utterly irrelevant values mean its just another trash tier mod.

Guest
You will be surprised. Some people says its too meta and makes the game not fun with even less mod choice.

Galehann
I didn't handle Cassowar yet, but I believe Cassowar has better range and attack speed than the Lestion while Lesion has better damage and slighlty better statut chance (plus the special mechanic on statut proc... which is kinda always triggered). Both are slash-based weapon, but Lesion is like 75% slash for 20% impact and 5% puncture while Cassowar is 44% slash, 34% puncture and 22% impact, so Lesion will have more (and stronger) bleed procs while Cassowar should benefit a bit more from Condition Overload on the paper. Both have very bad crit stats though, but Lesion could use Maiming Strike with it's 2.0x crit multiplier, while Cassowar got a very bad 1.4x critical multiplier which exclude the use of Maiming Strike. Then again, the Lesion's poor range makes the Maiming Strike mod a bit irrelevant imho (strictly personal preference). So, yeah, basically Cassowar sounds very similar to Lesion with higher range but lesser damage output on high level mobs.
Wyrmius_Prime
What I meant was that the Cassowar is one of the few good status weapons that aren't really capable of pulling a powerful crit build as well. Lesion and maybe the Caustacyst are probably the only exceptions. Sure there are a ton of weapons that can use both Blood Rush and Condition Overload effectively but this one added some nice variety to the mix if you're a player who likes to switch between weapons a lot. Cassowar also seems to have massive range.

Slash percentage on an IPS weapon only constitutes the RNG in which Slash damage is dealt on an enemy, and the amount per IPS stat constitutes the amount of damage said physical element deals on an enemy with overall damage to consider. Slash damage as a stat has nothing to do with how much Bleed procs deal. Edited November 25, 2017 by (PS4)Lei-Lei_23
Galehann
il y a 13 minutes, (PS4)Lei-Lei_23 a dit : The damage of Bleed procs is solely dependent on how high the overall damage is and how high the crit multiplier is dealt when the bleed status procs on the enemy in question. Slash damage as a stat has nothing to do with how much Bleed procs deal. Indeed, but while Lesion has 100 total IPS damage, Cassowar has 70 total IPS damage, thus Lesion's bleed proc will be stronger (regardless of crit, which is kind of irrelevant on those weapons, but even there Lesion has better crit stats). So that's why I said Lesion will proc more (more % slash on total IPS) and stronger (more total IPS damage) bleed proc than Cassowar.
