Unintended or missing patch note: Amps now require weapon slots?

I've double checked, and there's nothing about it in any of the U22 patchnotes.

So, I was building a Mote Amp, this is what I got on attempting to collect it:

 

So I went to check the amp inventory tab, and imagine my surprise when I find this

So... yeah.
Time to get in touch with support, I guess.

That was there ever since they were introduced. This is why you should stick with only one Amp.

There were topics about that when it came out.  They provided 7 or 9 slots with extra slots purchasable.  As @Koldraxon-732 says, it's always been like that.

Nope, those were a thing since Day 1 for Amps.

Nope... Amps have always required weapons slots... since the 1st day they became a thing.

they give you 9 free slot how fill them :D

Aha, multiple free slots explains why I didn't bump up against this before.
