Help With Riven Challenge

So I just got the melee riven from gift of lotus alert and the challenge is to kill 3 dargyn pilots before hitting the ground alone. So I got my vectis and I killed like 4 or 5 when they were in their dargyns hut it didn't count towards the challenge why? Is that a bug?

The challenge states you need to kill them while they are falling not while they are still on the dargyn. Shoot the dargyn and try to cap the pilot b4 he reaches the ground.

Any recommended warframe/weapons? I have Frost-Ash-Trinity-Gara-Excalibur-Saryn

NOTE: I don't have any augment mods

Just use a automatic rifle and just spray over the dargyn and its pilot. You’ll eventually hit them this way.

For specifics, I recomment hitscan rifles like the Soma, Gorgon, Tenora etc.

Try to blade storm the dargyn with ASH.

Mark the daygyn 3 times and blade storm

The first hit will explode the dargyn while the remaining 2 will hit the pilot

I just found a stupid easy way to complete this challenge.  Use Itzal and just get above any Dargyn pilots that are on the ground and use Cosmic Crush.  It lifts the pilots into the air and kills them.  Completely satisfying the challenge requirements.

I've had luck with sniper rifles, simply shooting the pilot in the back of the head after a strafe typically kills them in one shot and leaves the dargyn in perfect condition.
