Still is quite annoying being unable to even see our own weapon when customizing it.

I would like the option to hide the sheath when customizing the blade.

As for stances, Blind Justice to me is the only viable stance as it is the fastest once the block or hold-jab combinations are started; once to hit enemies that are in the air, and another to cut a path through them. There's also a third which requires 2 strikes, a brief wait, then another causing the user to dash forward which is the only one to me that seems to be in need of an update.

As for OP, I can agree with having a new nikana stance, but it may wind up being an alternative Nodachi/odachi/2h-katana stance. To that end, in this spoiler, other weapons are mentioned.

    Spoiler

The other stances are just slow and clunky. In fact, most of the older stances by comparison to newer ones are slow and clunky - looking at the most common sword stance which requires a pause before getting the right combo in comparison to the Plains 1h-sword stance. Not to mention there's a lack of variety in a lot of weapons - nikanas, tonfa, heavy blades, rapiers, sword-and-shield, and maybe more throwable melees deserve some variety.

For example, Grineer/Corpus/Infested Nikanas, Grineer Kuva tonfa, Grineer/Corpus heavy blades, and so on.

  3. Foreword: I don't run with Chromatic Blade but it's a personal choice.
For the sake of builds, here's my Excalibur setup, in the spoiler below.

    Spoiler

    Excalibur:
Aura: Steel Charge, or whatever suits you and the polarity it has. Exilus: Power Drift. Arcanes: Whatever suits you.
Mods: Intensify*, Steel Fiber*, Vitality*, Primed Vigor, Primed Continuity, Primed Flow, Streamline, Augur Secrets, Rage.
Power Drift, Intensify, and Augur Secrets are essential to enhancing damage potential; Primed Flow is necessary to conserve excess energy gained from taking damage.
*Umbra counterparts may override these for Excalibur Umbra.

    Exalted Blade:
Mods: True Steel*, Primed Pressure Point*, Condition Overload, Life Strike, 4 dual-stat elemental mods to raise chances of proccing.
Condition Overload allows infinite damage scaling, and Life Strike requires, in the right scenarios, only one channeled strike to restore all missing health.
*Umbra counterparts may override these for Exalted Umbra Blade, even if Sacrificial Pressure deals less damage than it's Primed counterpart.

    Skiajati:
Use the same configuration as Exalted Umbra Blade, but replace Life Strike with Blood Rush and one of the elemental combinations with Organ Shatter and Drifting Contact.

  4. DE is ditching channeling entirely with melee 3.0, restricting it into being a side-element of blocking and by extension removing it's ability to affect damage, and the same seems to be going with the combo counter damage bonus. DE claimed in a stream or few ago when melee 3.0 was being demonstrated, with directional slam attacks and so on, that all 1-handed melees and sidearms would be able to be wielded together much like throwable melees + 1h sidearms and that all melees, due to the removal of both damage enhancing elements, would get a base damage buff. Also, if I'm recalling correctly, range mods are being nerfed a bit, but melees will gain a global increase in range as compensation.

Like with [PH]Vlad, DE have currently been unable to show us their current statuses and it is personally concerning because I want to know if they've changed at all and wouldn't want to be 'surprised' with something very far from what we expected based on all that we had been shown.

The questions remaining are, how will all the channeling-reliant mods work now, or attack movesets that have a charged attack built in?

Reminder: all of this is based on all the information I could find on forum posts from DE and Devstreams related to the subject. Until we get official elaboration on this, this is what we know.

  5. There's two main archetypes of Warframes: the 'Originals' and the 'Copies'.
Originals are, theoretically, persons, perhaps warriors or willing individuals, who underwent Warframe conversion. Or just Warframes with the ability to hold memories of their own, and act freely - allowing their Operators to create a new person - like Mirage and king Inaros.

Copies are Helminth-grown meatbags with nothing but instinct and the will to obey and have faith in the Tenno.

Beyond this will be spoilers. Do not read until Sacrifice is completed by reader.

    Spoiler

Edit: Fixed a letter. Additional: If you revisit the courtyard in Captura or even as part of the Quest, Umbra's remains weren't there, so we must've taken them home with us with the scans.

Umbra comes under the Originals category because we literally put him back together from the parts of him we uncovered in the courtyard, with some assistance from Ordis and the Vitruvian 'diary of Ballas' to recompile him. If we only had blueprints and printed him from those, he wouldn't howl or remember anything, nor would he bring his trademark nikana and mods, nor would he be max-rank either; such a copy would be nothing more than a 1:1 of Chinaframe's Umbra-Prime.

The Umbra series, I suspect, may include numerous other original Warframe types which were around ever since it began in earnest. If DE is to go with a Dark Sector reference, the next Umbra would be Nyx, and if it is Nyx, then we might have a slight issue of a Dax-to-Dax relationship considering based on all known info all the Umbras were grown around high-ranking Dax - the equivalent of Spartans trapped in Nanosuits with a bit of Doomguy, with forced or willing compliance to instructions dispensed by Orokin - refer to Teshin, Kuva Scepter, Twin Queens.

All Umbras may be high-ranking Dax who may (or may not) have been willing to undergo the Umbra transformation process while possibly (or not) knowing what they will become. Nyx Umbra, if she happens, may have a tragic story of 'didn't believe I'd end up like this' with a cozy ending of 'oh, I'm not alone?' with the aftermath of having to deal with trying to keep two Umbras focused on the mission rather than hugging eachother all the time, or something similarly interesting.

Honestly, at the end of gathering all the Umbra Warframes, our Tenno may have to find a solution as to where to host the server to hold all of their divergent consciousnesses when they are not needed in combat. Perhaps the Tenno might just let them roam the ship and by extension ensure that it is a homely place, or join them to create a fully-fledged squad of Umbras (which would again be a Mass Effect reference of sorts, but it would be a good one).

    Possibilities near infinite.

I have one for you (as I love the opticor). Alt fire hold to charge the weapon, it grows in size, strength, and gains more punchthrough for each shot consumed. Fires as soon as it runs out charges.

That sounds like an 'Opticor Overcharge' mechanism which turns the entire clip into one shot which would deal the combined damage, but causes the user to go down in the process due to the weapon literally nearly-exploding in your hands, or a risk similar to that. Perhaps an augment for the weapon labelled 'Unhinged Overcharge' to enable this dangerous setting would be worth considering.

Speaking of which, more weapon augment mods could do with coming in to add additional variety to the arsenal.

  7. Looks like the audio dialogue is broken on your side, try verifying the game files and getting the launcher to optimize storage, if such things are possible?

Could you record some examples of this happening as evidence if possible?

  8. -Some Cephalons are digitized persons - like the Promethean Knights or Cortana from the Halo universe, if you know the lore behind both.

-Orokin buildings, according to the information found in the Plains, are mostly, literally grown.

-Sentinels and Sentients have no organic elements; they, like Corpus Proxies, are purely machine.

-Ordis rebelled against the Orokin, and tried to kill them all, only to be laughed at as they un-died (Orokin cannot be killed). Ballas gave Ordis the option of immortality and Orokin-hood, Ordis refused. Ballas sentenced him to life-as-Cephalon-in-service-to-Tenno.

-[Sacrifice spoilers; complete The Sacrifice when it releases to understand]. Umbra Warframes are... different.

-Infested are made of people, things, and machines (if their Mutalist strain is included).

  9. Turn down the 'music' slider completely in the options section. If this doesn't work, mute the game and play silently.

I must wonder, how-or-where did you attain this hatred for music, let alone sound itself? Don't cast me as negative in this next sentence but from the worst-case-scenario overview I have of this, you'd be better off playing games without sound as not all games provide the ability to turn off music or ambient sounds.

Again, you guys should really report that as a bug. That's not how it's supposed to work.

Ash should be given a charged element to his teleport where, if Bladestorm is active (or ready to be cast), and teleport is fully charged, the enemy he'll teleport to will receive a maximum mark and Bladestorm would subsequently occur. Using it without charging it would ignore bladestorm and just teleport Ash as usual. Maybe this change could be the fate of Fatal Teleport?

  11. The leaderboards need to be reset because, originally, Onslaught was incredibly easy because enemy scaling was broken and exploited because of that and then DE fixed it without resetting the leaderboards which thus causes the 'I'm always 1st' problem which we have now because nobody can reach those scores thanks to enemies being indestructible after a certain number of zones due to enemy scaling.

  12. Dark Sector missions, if done quickly, give neat amounts of credits, but there's a place dedicated to credits on Neptune known as the Index, having someone bring you along (if your weapons can kill level 100-or-so enemies, then that's a benefit) in their Index runs may help get more than the necessary amount of credits.

  13. While I never encountered usage of 'dodging' before, I am in total agreement with all that is said. Personally having more Archwing missions on more planets with more varied levels would be great, but that's just the top of the iceberg of things I'd like to happen, which is under this here spoiler.

    Spoiler

1: More Archwing involvement in missions or vice-versa. See the Aquawing or Skywing modes - Uranus and Plains respectively - as examples of implementing this.

2: The ability to use some non-Archwing weapons in Archwing, and vice-versa, as they are both viable. May require stat rebalancing.

3: Allowing non-Archwing mods to be used in/on Archwings and their weapons. Due to said stat rebalancing, the Archwing-specific mods besides augments would become a waste of resources, unless they are buffed to compensate.

4: Allow Archwings and Archweapons to be used 'unconventionally' - Archwings as stabilizers for the hefty Archweapons to enable parkour even while using such heavy armaments.

5: Bigger Corpus Trenchway tiles instead of the overly restrictive ones which you can't navigate through without going at walking speed or bashing into everything and subsequently exploding.

6: More Archwing mission variants - such as strafing a Grineer Galleon's hull, Archwing Invasions, and hybrid modes which allow you to enter the interior tileset and exit it as part of the mission (looking at you, Grineer/Corpus Ship-to-Ship Invasions).

7: More unique Archwing enemies rather than just reskinned Ospreys and Dargyns. We've got Raptor 2.0s for example which could serve as Archwing's equivalent of Bursas, and the almost-never-seen Kuva Courier/Ogma/Dargyn. When will we fight Infested, Corrupted and Sentient forces in Archwing as well as on-ground?

8: More reasons to go Archwing, be it for Archweapon parts (which are currently Syndicate exclusives, forcing some of us like myself to desperately hope that Trade Chat may have them in stock (which they don't) ), bigger amounts of loot (higher credit/endo profits in comparison to normal missions), or other content that currently does not exist.

9: Right now, Archwing only exists to act as a deployable pair of wings on Plains/Venus_Landscape, to do Archwing missions that must be done, to complete bossfights and other Archwing content that has to be done - and in general provides little to no satisfaction for when you max it besides the highly unlikely potential of using Archwing to farm for Focus XP, which nobody does (as far as I know, anyway).

10: And that's not all. I might've missed out a lot of things.

  14. Buying weapons for plat outright is a waste of currency unless it's their Prime counterpart via Trade Chat.

-Learn to navigate the Market console and search for blueprints specifically.

-Why do a majority of Tenno never try to explore the world, the interfaces, and so on? Expecting Lotus to hold your hand at all times is like expecting Darvo to give you free Orokin Reactors/Catalysts weekly. At least from my perspective anyway. Not to be negative but really, people need to look around rather than assume the worst.

-Go to Market. Type 'Bronco'. Click the :credits: icon. Click purchase, as long as it says it's in 'credits', not 'platinum'. Do this with any weapon if you want to build it. Don't forget to toggle on 'blueprints only'. Some weapons' blueprints can only be acquired from doing certain missions, beating certain enemies/bosses, trading, or joining and visiting a Clan's Dojo's Lab.

    0. Before I reply in earnest understand that the formatting use is merely how I go about things, you don't have to adhere to the standards I utilize.

To that end, the 'Sol Conclave' will be open for renaming to something that encompasses the Origin System - since it's beyond Teshin's control. As for Conclave generally, the clunky movesets for some weapons and jarring differences in how weapons/powers act are in dire need of revisiting.

    1. The benefit of [PH]'Unbound' Conclave would be, I'd suppose, the standing given to Teshin's Conclave and perhaps bonus resource drop rates. Being in a Clan would cause an extra number of resources to be earned and automatically donated to the Clan Vault in exchange for extra credits and endo. Not to mention an XP booster which would be active since you'd be very likely to get killed and nobody would be alive or able to revive you thanks to them also being very dead - to offset the XP drain from reviving, of course.

    2. Aside from the connection issues, I'd rather lock Conclave behind a medium Mastery barrier and am still for the opt-in factor which trades 'easy mode' for 'more XP, resources, credits, endo at cost of potential hostile Tenno invasions'. Warframe at it's core is a Co-Op 3rd person horde/hack-slash shooter-brawler hybrid with a deep cinematic universe carefully nestled within; to disrupt the Co-op part with forcing everyone to opt-in for this 'unbound' Conclave combat would bring quite a negative response. Not to mention people of MR3 and below aren't likely to have anything but starter weapons and almost no mods, putting them at a disadvantage in some cases.

    3. An Alliance Dojo, or 'secondary' Dojo for Clans without Alliances, would be a satisfying compromise.

5 (hidden in spoiler). This could also be a step towards enhancing a powerful scene/level-building ingame tool which, if a Clan is big and powerful, can allow a Clan to effectively build their own Raid lairs, thus making Raids a thing under Tenno control. The Raid Boss could be one or several existing bosses of the same faction synthesized by Simaris' Sanctuary for the occasion. Not to mention scenebuilding for Captura films.

I just need the "neutral" animation sets in FBX format which of course would come with the skeleton DE uses for the assets, then I could give it a try.

This sounds like the precursor to Tennogen animation sets, if DE ever supported such a thing.

  17. 4 minutes ago, VanFanel1980mx said:

What I would propose doesn't go beyond standing, walking and running animation cycles considering those are would only be affecting the lower part of the body without changing much else when it comes to how all other weapons are handled.

I believe that if/when DE do go and deal with that would be the time when DE reworks the base Warframe animations for more fluid movement. I would wish for them to add an array of 'movement animation sets' which represent how you want your Warframe to move - be it in a lithe, agile fashion, an aggressive, almost rampant-beast manner, or like a pseudo-machine - devoid of all bobbing and swaying; full of sharp, precise movements maybe featuring less 'smooth and fluid' and more 'sharp and sudden'. Not to mention the 'floating' Agile/Noble animation sets would also be among them in this conceptual example.

  18. DE didn't give Titania the power to endlessly aimglide because that would be 'too much'(?), and if DE was to introduce animation sets for movement, then it would be a different pile of animations to create, and that's not even considering all the weapon types or the concept of segregating weapon idle animation sets from the Warframe's own, which would be a complicated but feasible proposition.

As of now, however, DE's resources are occupied with Venus, Tau System, more Sentients, Tenno Railships and Dark Sector 2.0, Kingpin, and UI 3.0 as not all of that is implemented yet which explains the currently iffy UI.

On that irrelevant note, I personally would like DE to preserve the diegetic elements of the UI as they introduced an element of immersion that is rarely found, though DE - if they wanted - could make the diegetic component a toggle if they redesigned how their code works so the UI can be displayed either way.

On a returning note from that irrelevant note, the pause menu animation in my opinion should be visible for everyone so others can tell when one is checking progress or fleeing for whatever reason.

  19. 3 minutes ago, Sintag said:

Thanks, and I agree entirely with the alt-fire for throwable sidearms. Speaking of which, I'd be overjoyed to see Conclave stances in PVE - like with some of Conclave's augments and sidearm/primary mods being usable in PVE's modding system. Then again, there were also variants, but they all vanished and no new ones have appeared since.

Hence my concern about Conclave being on the chopping board with the presumed explanation of 'too buggy'.
