  1. OP, I suggest adding spoiler tag for safety since some comments may have spoiler content.

    [What is she?]

That is not Lotus. That is Natah. Without the crown, her old ways have sunk back in, distancing her.

Actual spoilers. Do not open unless you completed The Sacrifice.

    Spoiler

Also, all Umbras based on the recent lore revelations can be confirmed to have been Dax; Orokin elite soldiers, not mere Corrupted or war machines (before the Sentient crisis).

Therefore by logic, Stalker IS a Dax in service to Ballas - hence him siding with Hunhow to allow Hunhow to reach the Reservoir and stop the Tenno from truly awakening, while also covering Ballas' tracks by brute-forcing it out of the Void via Stalker.

Though, if the next Umbra is female, then I wonder; what would a female Dax look like, and would it be Nyx Umbra - to take a hint from what Dark Sector could've been?

I also wonder if all Umbras have the same helmet and body armour, at least for the most part. Would make Nyx Umbra easier to bring into existence.

Then again I wonder what happens when the Tenno unites two Umbra minds.

  2. General UI issues:

    Spoiler

-Icons do not accurately reflect what they relate to.
-Old UI layout for item name, level, forma, mastery, and price should be reinstated as-was. This may require squashing the rectangles.
-Some cases of half-new Mod UI can be found in Trading and when inspecting inventory in social locations. These make mods look a little weird.
-Spawning UI is a bit weird as it seems to be a copy-paste of the inventory UI with no changes as to how to list things.
-UI colours and colours of icons look faded or higher-contrasted and darker in comparison to their actual ingame counterparts. This is glaringly noticable on Chroma and almost every Prime. The only time this has not been the case is with Umbra's sword.
-UI can sometimes be difficult to navigate with a controller, especially the spawning UI where the 'spawn' button is hard to reach and the 'kill enemies' button already is bound elsewhere.
-UI icons are incredibly small, smaller than UI 2.0's, which makes it confusing and more difficult to navigate.
-Icons in general need something to identify them by and should not require people to hover over them.
-UI colours in general for the new Primed look seem off and don't stand out enough.

I believe almost every issue we're encountering is entirely because the rest of UI 3.0 is still in the works.

Also, since DE's bringing back the item name part, they could try and recreate what they had at UI 2.0's endpoint when it came to item name/level/forma/mastered/price information, all of which is actually still present in the arsenal UI since that hasn't been changed, yet, meaning they can reuse that code for it and preserve the icons as seen in arsenal to avoid making 2 icons for 1 item.

  3. I'm going to presume you missed the Plains of Eidolon grind for Focus, Amps and Operator Arcanes; my Operator runs with 2 Magus Vigor Arcanes, with the 2nd being Rank 2 and an Amp which uses the grenade launching prism but has the rest the same as the tier 1 Amp.

You would've had it easier if you did that and got those Arcanes and maybe at least the Vazarin health regen and Madurai Amp recharge speed Waybound nodes.

As for having trouble with Excal Umbra (using him, that is), use 2 then 4 and build him for rage and life strike on his Exalted weapon.

If going against him again for whatever reason, then I suggest trying to Void Blast him more often. The main problem I personally had with the fights was how he was able to damage the Operator even in Void mode, but they were hard due to being bossfights I would suppose.

  4. Subject 9 may imply Excalibur Prime (9th Warframe in release order), or a 9th test subject for the Umbra program. I do not see it being anything else.

I personally would like to have the option to examine the Vitruvian post-Quest for when I need to either be reminded of something, or just listen to the music playing in it's background.

i gotta reforma a bunch of frames XD

Umbra Polarity cannot be Forma'd onto anything as of now since Forma doesn't 'know' the polarity. I suggest not trying to alter existing builds as it would be a waste of Forma and time, since likely by the time you've gone back and reforma'd every frame to fit the Umbra mods, DE would've pushed out an 'Umbra Forma' of some kind, or so I'd guess. Same goes with the melee mods, which aren't as strong as their Primed counterparts.

  6. -I agree that being unable to see the names of what items you have without scrolling over them makes it a serious issue, especially when selling surplus nonPrime components and even weapons you've maxed.

-Icons for most items and weapons are showing nonPrime versions. This must be fixed.

-Icons could do with being rectangular for consistency, using the extra square area to fit the item name.

-Syndicate and Simulacrum spawning UI uses inventory UI. This must be amended imminently.

-UI colours look a little faded.

-Squad has plenty of UI space to show what people are using. It doesn't show what they're using until you click on their icons, which makes preparing for a mission with radiants or derelict vault keys slower.

  7. Being able to put Prime cosmetics on the Umbra variant should be allowed, but also the ability to toggle the Umbra attachments should be enabled for those who would rather wish to disguise Umbra as a common Excal. The reason I, even though I'm no founder, would like this to happen is due to all those Founders who lost their Excal Primes for one reason or another.

Otherwise, Excalibur Umbra is a choice; would you want backup, or an obedient, static golem?

That said, the bigger crescents on Umbra's forearms are not properly mounted and should be fixed.

  8. 1: Exalted blade has been isolated and made moddable. I'll explain why this isn't a bad thing shortly.

2: I approve of the points with 'all three', however speed mods should not affect them since that would make natural talent obsolete and DE will likely nerf cast speeds for Excalibur. Excalibur, the normal one, is also a Starter frame, meaning he has to have some kind of limit to his abilities, though that could do with being disregarded when it comes to his Umbra or Prime counterparts. Regardless, for all variants, at least give Slash dash the discount combo that Atlas' Landslide already has so using it to rack up combo counter multipliers which would in turn benefit it would be easier, and more enjoyable.

1, continued: Since Exalted Blade can now be modded, I threw together a highly functional utility build in the spoiler.

    Spoiler

    Build components: Exalted Blade.
Condition Overload, Primed Pressure Point, 4 60/60 status mods (aligned in whatever elemental combo you deem fit I chose radiation/viral), and Life Strike.

Build components: Excalibur, required to compliment the weapon.
Aura: Steel Charge (optional, or whatever fits the polarity). Exilus: Power Drift. Arcanes: Your choice. If you run with a sniper, I recommend 1x Arcane Momentum at max rank.
Intensify, Vitality, Steel Fiber, Primed Vigor, Primed Continuity, Streamline (can be swapped for Primed Flow), Augur Secrets, and Rage or Hunter Adrenaline.

Function: Use channeling key to cause Exalted Blade to drain twice as much energy in exchange for very fast health restoration; the amount of hits required may fluctuate between 2 if there's enemies lined up behind, to as many as needed. Taking damage will be the only way to sustain the blade if you are channeling it, but if you're taking enough damage and are managing to keep the blade up in it's channeled state, then you've perfected the art.

This build allows Excalibur, regardless of what type, to heal himself and employ Exalted Blade in an emergency situation.

Umbra content. Complete The Sacrifice first before coming back to read this.

    Spoiler

The Umbra counterparts have Umbra polarity slots already slotted with mods fitting those polarities which are set mods and have a Primed look. I recommend not forma'ing out those polarities as you cannot forma them back in at all. Said mods may initially have the same stats as their non-Primed counterparts, but letting them stay together will make them stronger due to their set bonus of 'benefit other mods in this mod set'.

Good news is that the Umbra mods are actually beneficial to this build.

Bad news is you can't forma it onto Excalibur (Prime, if you're a Founder).

Unfortunately, the build I have mentioned may become addictive to some, and could be a rather risky one to run with for many, especially in Sortie/Elite_Onslaught conditions, but it gives Excalibur a solution to the main thing he lacks; a means to sustain himself. Open spoiler for details.

  9. The 'Umbra Nikana' as I will call it causes stealth on successful stealth finisher kills.

This can be paired with any Warframe if your squad is outfitted with someone (i.e, an Excalibur of any kind who blinds enemies) who can force enemies to unalerted states.

This special feature, as well as it being the only melee to have Umbra Polarity slots (even if the damage mod from the Umbra mod set isn't as strong as it's Prime variant, it should be kept on to benefit it's crit chance counterpart), makes it worth keeping alongside Nikana Prime.

Disclaimer: Umbra polarity cannot be added via Forma.

  10. I like the idea of Umbra wandering the ship. I do not like the idea of him fusing mods without my authorization or trying to build stuff and find that I lack the means or blueprint for it. I do like him taking weapons, giving them a wash with some Exalted Water, and inspecting them.

Here's what I've got outlined, in yet another spoiler:

    Spoiler

Umbra passive actions if you're Operator, in full list:

    Spoiler

-If he finds The Father, you'll get a marker and hear The Father saying 'Hey - no wait, you're not my kiddo.', then Umbra would utter, with his crude vocalizations mixed with spliced Specter dialogue, to inform you that he 'Found someone.'

-Will randomly pull out an armament from the Arsenal. If it's Infested, he would, 2 out or 3 times, put it away again. If it's Sentient, he'd keep it out and stare at it's intricacies. If he pulls out a Prime, he'd proceed to instinctively wash it with Exalted Water, and would be found with a bucket made from metal scraps and a weapon drying off from being super-washed.

-Will occasionally pet the companion for you if one is out, if not, he will examine the Kubrow egg. No egg? He'll look at your Sentinel with interest. No Sentinel? This action is void.

-Will attempt to build things you can build but haven't mastered, like Forma. Whenever he tries this, you'll be prompted and he'll stand there, arms folded and foot tapping, wondering why the command did not yet process, or merely believing there's a loading screen or some network difficulties. On occasion, he may craft an 'Umbra' Ayatan, which is a black version of a normal Ayatan which doesn't move and is often made of junk material, coated in a black, reflective metal; such are mere decor and are not endo sources.

-May be seen sat in your Transference chair, delaying Transference-ing back in by about 5 seconds.

-Will delay arsenal switches depending on passive action (him being pulled out, and then parkouring to the arsenal, before returning to his obedient state, all of which should take no longer than 5 seconds).

-Could be found sat down on the couch in the lounge, at navigation, stood at the Codex terminal, or just knelt looking out the lounge or navigation viewport.

-Would be able to be interacted with, giving the options to: 1: stop what he's doing, 2: pet/pat him. 3: challenge him to a Komi match on a simulated game board, courtesy of Ordis.

-Will attempt to transmute mods you have over 30 of on occasion, with permission.

-Upon finding the Stalker in noggle form, may shrug at it.

-Upon finding Inaros' urn, may take a moment to look at it.

-May gaze at Rell's Donda for a moment.

Short version with much fewer things required:

    Spoiler

-Try to fuse, transmute, and build, causing Ordis to set up an 'authorizations queue' so the Operator can ensure no sapient other than themselves can waste their resources.

    -Pet the companion.

-Sit on the couch if it is not occupied by objects.

-Delay arsenal response time due to running/parkouring to it or getting there from his own pause menu, which adds a unique layer of immersion.

-Interrupting him during his lounge-time on the couch may prompt a game of Komi, hosted by Ordis on a simulated board.

Question is, what are the most important elements you want him to interact with of his own volition that don't have too many possible outcomes?

  11. DE explicitly said that not all Frames will get Umbra variations. I suggest we look at the first Warframes, exempting Excalibur and his Prime, for a good guess at what the other Umbras could be - or even the Starter frames.

Also, Umbra and his weapon have Umbra-exclusive mods. Within hours, I will have to go on a crusade for Endo and Credits to fuel those mods.

I wonder if the next Umbra will bring a sidearm?

Edit: Primes will still be a relevant option, because of the sapient trait the Umbra archetype exhibits providing a weakness if you are not properly armed and armoured in both forms.

    - pretty much the only other time one is impossible is Hacker in PoE

There are some consoles (they're on the little column things dotted around, and Eidolon lures) that can be hacked, so that's not impossible.

As for OP, I remember numerous occasions where kills with specific_weapon objectives didn't take kills into account, the cause of such oddities is likely due to be being a client in a squad which hasn't got great connection, I'd suspect.

As for @ManFromMars' suggestion about refreshing objectives, I like that. Expansion on this is in the spoiler below.

    Spoiler

Perhaps for every side-objective completed, a new, more complex one comes up with more affinity reward, which keeps going and then resets both the affinity reward and the difficulty before it becomes a Riven challenge in and of itself. If the challenge can't be completed (i.e: hacking/slide-kills in Archwing/stealth kills in Archwing/finishers in Archwing, etc...) then there should be an option in the pause menu to re-roll the side-objective, which has a 10 minute cooldown as to be impervious to abuse; re-rolling objectives should reset the difficulty and affinity reward.

Anybody use Arcane Awakening (On Reload, 40% for +100% Pistol Damage, 16s)? Also thinking about Strike (On Hit, 10% for +40% Melee Attack Speed, 12s) for Jat Kittag.

Sounds like Momentum would be ideal for Dread!  Does Dread qualify as a sniper though?

Dread is a bow. Bows do not qualify as snipers unless/until there's a sniper/crossbow hybrid.

I’m looking for a replacement and I’m at a loss. Literally used it for like 2 years as a main -_-

What mods are you using on this weapon? Personally I would recommend a status/crit build featuring Hunter Munitions and Vigilante Armaments.

Replacements vary from Tiberon Prime, to Burston Prime with a status build, if you're looking for Prime rifles, but there's a lot more out there now.

  15. Speaking of Limbo, for those Limbo users who did enjoy using Stasis for their own crazy machinations which involved AOE weapons of Tenno destruction, like the Lenz, Stasis should have a

Which, if it didn't kill them, Limbo would re-trigger Stasis and the squad goes in guns blazing due to the Limbo changes making Stasis un-affect allied projectiles.

As for Bastille getting it's limit scaled to infinity, perhaps swapping it and Vortex around could give Bastille room to get some upgrades to it's range and duration, while Vortex could be sized down and it's cost be diminished.

In my opinion, Vauban's kit is in need of some strengthening. He's meant to be capable of turning the battlefield against it's enemies. See spoiler for details.

    Spoiler

    1: Replaced with:
Grenades: Tap to enter an alt-weapon mode, like Chroma's 1. Throwing a grenade consumes a charge. Pressing alt-fire changes the grenade type. Tapping fire throws the grenade, holding it cooks the grenade, shortening it's duration and throw distance while increasing it's AOE and damage in return where viable. Tapping reload will cancel the charged throw and disarm the grenade. Holding reload will cause Vauban to create more grenades, up to a limit that can be increased with power range, strength, and energy cap mods.
    Variants:

    Spoiler

Shock: Causes a magnetic and explosive proc on initial impact before turning into a 'zap mine' that functions as the 1st power used to. Costs 25 energy.
Concussive frag: Stuns and causes forced bleeds on enemies, exposing them to increased damage from all sources for a short time. If nobody was around when it lands, it sticks to the surface and becomes the concussive mine it used to be. Costs 25 energy.
Flash mine: Opens enemies to finisher moves and makes them unable to see. Has a chance to send enemies into a berserk state, causing them to shoot at everyone blindly and, in rare cases, blow themselves up. Costs 25 energy.
Tripwire: Deploys a tripwire that trips enemies. Costs less than other grenades but has a limit of how many can be active. Two must be thrown at a time to create a tripwire. They have limited durability. Costs 10 energy, cost cannot be modified by efficiency mods.

Vauban can interact with these to retrieve them, replenishing the energy he spent.

    2: Replaced with:

Deployables: Inheriting the toggle-swap-between-power system of the former ability, Vauban has an array of tactical options, but can only deploy up to 6 of these at any time.

    Spoiler

Bounce pad: Same as before, but has a longer duration and more uses before it disappears. Costs 25 energy at base.

Barricade: Vauban deploys a shield projector that projects a shield with limited battery life; damage to the shield drains the battery, until the thing just disintegrates. Can be healed by shield-heal abilities and mods on Sentinels. Costs 50 energy at base.

Roller-turret: Vauban, taking cues from Reth and his unique rollers in Rathuum, has designed his own Tenno-style rollers. They will attempt to use Vauban's barricades as cover and can be told to stay in one place. They have limited health and ammo, if they run out of ammo, they will roll into enemies and keep them distracted by causing staggers. They exist until death. Costs 75 energy at base.

Vauban can interact with these to retrieve them, replenishing the energy he spent.

3: Swapped with 4; Vortex's range is shortened significantly, but it's energy cost is lowered down to 50.

4: Swapped with 3; Bastille has increased range, duration, and no enemy cap, at the cost of having only 2 able to be active at any time.

Repelling Bastille would repel all incoming projectiles, as it's name implies.

These changes deserve to be looked into since Vauban needs a means to build his own cover and a means to keep enemies off his back when he needs to retreat in a tactical fashion, plus they give him a tactical vibe instead of some hilarious guy who throws spheres everywhere which suspend enemies, throw them around, and do virtually almost 0 damage aside from Vortex in most cases.

ok, but i dont want to get every single warframe, pet and sentinel for my MR [end excerpt]

This is why there are things called 'MR fodder' - stuff which is so incapable of killing higher level enemies that it is levelled and deleted, sometimes accidentally due to a lack of research into whether it's needed in another weapon's crafting requirements.

    3 minutes ago, (XB1)Apexsea2004 said:

thanks, do all weapons give the same MR? l\

Each weapon gives a fixed amount of Mastery xp, as is with everything else. If I was to get my hands on every Archwing and Syndicate weapon I haven't levelled yet, as well as Mesa, then Nyx and Mag Primes, and max all of those, I would be a little over MR 25.

Sure, the process will be long and painful when it comes to select Primes and other things due to their means of being obtained, but in the end, it is worth it in order to be ready for the unexpected high-mastery-requiring things, ranging from Nekros Prime's weapons, to Tiberon Prime, and Sybaris Prime to point out a few.

Melee 3.0 is imminent, get all the melee blueprints you can and start building as many as you can before the MR ranks on them change due to stat rebalancing - like with primary and secondary weapons.

  17. The drums from what I've heard have a few variants which play randomly. I agree that we should be at least allowed to swap out the countdown/mission start drums for a Somachord track, same with Navigation and Captura, with an option for 'none', via the Somachord.

They sound quite a bit like the old drums from some of the very early tracks. A sample of this has been added in the spoiler below.

    Example 1:

    Example 2:

    Spoiler

On the side, a slider for non-mission music (i.e: Extraction music, loading screen drums, etc...) would go a long way in the meantime until we get more Somachord tracks and the feature to swap out some tracks for Somachord ones.

  18. @(PS4)gta4biosmka, not to perplex you or sound negative, since neither are my intention, but how did you know what I was going to type? You've basically wrote my comment, word for word, except that it was a few weeks ago that I got my blueprint.

I share our unanimous opinion that base blueprint for Khora should be in market. Same should go for Lato and Braton Vandal, actually, so their other parts have more of a chance to drop too. I would've asked for this sooner, but Onslaught is as it is.

Current solution if OP hasn't farmed and built all her parts yet: Trade for plat, buy her outright.

Also her parts don't drop in Elite Onslaught and the loot table is cluttered excessively with Relics and Captura scenes which we get too many copies of.
