  1. What the Revenantframe Vlad is right now:
    -Unique passive. High power potential.
-Nekros and Inaros combined for 1 (Nekros' 4 meets Inaros' 2).
-Something like Rhino for his 2.
    -Hydroid-ish 3.
    -Equinox-like 4.

What I want to do to this:
-Give his 1st ability the ability to swap between 3 abilities; his 1, 2, and a mini-Gantulyst laser which can, if one builds him for Rage, be fired pretty much in fast semi-auto.
-Turn his 3 into a toggled ability; sacrifice energy for health/shield regen field; becomes new 2.
-Add 2 Sentient-themed powers which give him gameplay flexibility and team utility.

  2. Name-wise:
Is the following: A| related to Sentients somehow, B| A Tenno term for leeching/siphoning. C| Involves the term 'Revenant', 'Vlad', and the Sentient suffix of 'lyst'. Put together in a manner that works for him.

    Visually:
I expected something more samurai-oriented, with Sentient parts adorned as armour.

    Gameplay-wise:

From the way it played in the Devstream, as long as DE keep it's 1, 2, and 3, [PH]Vlad will be set for a health-oriented 'Super'-Rage build.
    Mods:

    Spoiler

    Primed: Vigor, Flow, Continuity.
Rage, Vitality, Gladiator Resolve, Intensify, Hunter Adrenaline.
    Exilus: Power Drift.
Aura: Energy Siphon or Corrosive Projection.

    Install order:
Health mods first, or else the Warframe will not survive. Then fit Rage in as soon as possible.

  3. I like the proposition of being able to view the weapon(s) separately but I would like to be able to rotate the weapon and zoom in on it, rather than the camera.

As for the Warframe, I believe forcing it into Articula poses (animations that don't move) when being customized would make it easier on a lot of us who want to take stock of the detail. Otherwise, a button which says 'T-pose' to force the Warframe to snap to the no-animation pose would be great.

  4. Primary/sidearm melee system? I have a suggestion on how to enable this, in the spoiler below.

    Spoiler

-Unequipping your melee is required to enable this.
-Use melee key while primary/sidearm weapons are equipped; Primary: if it's a bow, you'd try to swat the enemy with it like a club, if it's a rifle of any kind, you'd try to bash them with the front or the stock of the weapon, if it's a speargun, it will borrow stave attack animations. Secondary: Throwing knives would use dual-dagger attacks, pistols would be swung like a short stick or knife; dual sidearms would resort to elbowing the enemy.
-Most attacks will knock back the enemy or stun them. Non-melees cannot perform finishers.

Weapon melee attack examples: See Grineer Lancers trying to elbow you with the stock of their gun, or how characters in, say, Halo melee with guns equipped.

  5. Sentinels have, currently, exclusive access to Vacuum. Vacuum does what it says on the tin; it collects loot in a wide radius and saves you having to stall the mission to pick up that one rare resource drop. The Sentinels I've used have reasons for staying in that position, listed as follows: Helios Prime (free scans, can kill enemies if it's deconstructor is modded for condition overload), Carrier Prime (ammo mutation, boxes are blasted open automatically), Wyrm Prime (currently cosmetic, may find a reason soontm), and Djinn* (due to Reawakening precept-augment plus Primed Regen, there's no need to arm it, there's no need to buff it's hp/shields/armour, and there's plenty of room for convenience mods like Medi-ray (healing beam), Guardian (shield refresh), Sacrifice (resurrects you), Vacuum (already explained), Animal Instinct (can also be used on companions), and whatever other mods deemed necessary). *Unfortunately, I sold this Sentinel before the augment came out. Since I am not that bothered, my agenda is to wait for it's Prime counterpart before I rebuild it.

In my opinion, other companions have numerous flaws (pemadeath, having to be revived all the time, getting stuck in geometry/left behind due to tileset design, being unable to collect resources or use Vacuum (common reason why people even refuse to run Kavat when they have Sentinel), and usually dealing less damage than Sentinels without the Plains mods) which make Sentinels preferrable, and vice-versa. While I do have a Helminth Charger and I believe a Kavat, I'm still stuck on getting two more Kubrow types for Mastery Fodder as well as Archwing and Syndicate armaments, besides Mesa, then Nyx and Mag Primes.

Diriga, Dethcube, and for the most part, Shade are rather frail based on what time I've had with them, even moreso than the ones I currently have. Companions could do with a rework, not a mere revisit, to find a solution. The easiest of which is to allow Sentinels and companions to be equipped simultaneously at the cost of the Sentinel being unarmed.

1: They use the Warframe as a door, as it were. It's Void stuff; it doesn't have to make sense. It just 'works'. 2: Those people simply didn't read the Codex entries and didn't read the obvious parts that the children of Z10-0 were made Tenno. The pieces were there but never looked at, even now. Which leads me to my 3rd point which is in the spoiler below.

    Spoiler

3: The 'Void damage via Warframes' basically works as an Operator skin. The Operator instead phases into the Warframe actual, causing the head (if viable) to disappear and be replaced with their own as well as phasing their Amp onto the 'frame's arm. The frame would be able to act as normal, but the powers are swapped out for Focus School related abilities and Tenno powers (Void beam, Void blast, Void mode, Focus ult, and 5 to revert to normal).
-Operator's head and head cosmetics override the Warframe's, where cosmetically acceptable. If not, then the obstructing elements (Chroma's pelt, etc..) are given the half-phased transparency effect during this mode.
-Operator/Tenno School powers replace Warframe powers for duration. Void Mode is instead bound to an ability, same with Void beam.
    -Warframe stats and mobility preserved.
-Going down in this state causes the Warframe to get knocked down or half-ragdoll into a suitable pose (the slumped one, T-pose, or knocked-down) and stay like that for a moment before getting up, as though waking up.

  7. Long version:

    Spoiler

The closest thing to an 'Operator melee' is a Void Blast amplifier or calibration medium, perhaps worn as another Amp on the left hand which covers the hand as a full gauntlet, since we already have the Beam amplifier/calibration medium. Could even just be an extension of the existing Amp category in some manner, which opens the possibility of forgoing Void Blast for another Amp (restriction: first (right-hand)-equipped amp's alt fire overrides the second one's, perhaps the 'toggle camera shoulder' button can affect this?).

The thing we really need is a means to deal Void damage without going Operator, or the ability to use Operator powers without exposing ourselves (since some people disdain what they actually are to the point of attempting to retcon them from their perspective of the lore, to just giving up on Warframe due to a skewered perspective).

As for @(PS4)Taishin_Ishu's thought, since Second Dream, Tenno can manifest physically (hence why they obey physical laws, can jump and everything, but when they 'die', they get sent back to their equivalent of a /sethome; this can be witnessed in War Within's not-exactly-a-dream sequence with the Ravenous Golden Maw segment.

    Short version:

    Spoiler

Void Blast is the Operator's melee. An Amp built for it can be a solution to this situation and opens up the option for Operators to forgo Void Blast buffs via Amp for two ranged weapons (like a pair of Tier 1 Amps or shotgun-style amps firing off like Reaper from Overwatch or a Spartan from Halo using a pair of Brute Mauler pistols or Magnums).

  8. There's a few solutions. One such is to just go as far as you can. They're initially unavoidable, but the right Warframe can even benefit from them, despite the hard staggering they cause.

    Spoiler

    Teralyst:
    Homing attack:
-Switch to Operator, void mode for a sec, then back.
-Use a Warframe than can deploy a barrier, like Volt, Frost, Gara or Atlas.
    Eruptions:
-Bullet jump as high as you can and linger, then slide.
    Gantulyst:
    Giant laser pillars of death:
    -Avoid standing in them.
-Bring Limbo or a frame that can trigger invincibility state, like Rhino or Valkyr; Limbo's Rifted state for self and allies is great to conserve energy when lingering around Teralyst-type Eidolon fragments.
    Oversized Battalyst death ball:
-Either get closer to the Gantulyst, or get behind cover.
    Hydrolyst:
    Death puddles:
-Maintain high ground, take Oberon or other regenerative/airborne Warframes.

The solutions here aren't all of them, but if you want true evasion, consider Zephyr due to her ability to remain airborne for long periods of time.

I don't get it? What do you mean

Hydroid Prime was revealed at last year's Tennocon. Tennocon is a Tenno convention where DE goes to a place, deploys their inventory, and then presents BIG things (last year was Plains of Eidolon and a teaser for The Sacrifice, confirming DE was working on that next). This year it is believed there will be more being presented, theoretically including:

    Spoiler

    -Next Prime.
-The Sentient home-system, Tau, which was formerly destined for Orokin colonization.
    -Pet Moas.
    -Venus' Landscape.
    -More stuff.
    -Basically, Devstream Prime.

The most imminent Devstream may contain:

    Spoiler

-What I call 'Kratosframe, Bane of Sentients', or 'He who wields the 2h Katana/Sentient Nodachi'.
    -Sentient things.
-Restrained enthusiasm to deploy The Sacrifice, if it's ready by then, which is unlikely (expect it within the next 14 non-weekend days, which translates to roughly a month).
-I don't actually know, but the preview pic looks to be Excalibur's back, and not his Umbra's back because there's no crescent parts visible.
    -Answered questions.
-New questions we didn't ask ourselves.
    -Potential humor.
-Things I didn't expect or list.

  10. What we need is the ability to render a Warframe immune to Cysts BEFORE it is afflicted by it.

How will this work? See in Spoilers.

    Spoiler

1: DE makes Eidolon Phylaxis obtainable.
    2: Make Eidolon Phylaxis.
3: DE makes the following possible: Go to Arsenal, Warframe / Upgrades, Actions / Immunize.
    4: Inject Eidolon Phylaxis.
5: Warframe cannot be infected by Cyst.

Alternatively, make it so that as soon as the Cyst is visible, make Helminth open the door and allow you to use the chair to get it off.

  11. For 1, there should be hosting options, like how Matchmaking can be set to friends, invite, or solo: Fastest, Always Host, Never Host.

This would allow people who want to host to be host. This is overriden if you invite others to the squad.

As for 2, wouldn't that cause lag if someone had more than 5 Warframes and wanted ALL of their Warframes to bear the same sigil? DE might not do this because of the sheer lag it can cause, both for their servers and for you.

3, you also have to transfer to operator before you can fast-travel to Quills. DE may have this the way it is due to how they code, perhaps?

4 can be exploited and used for trolling. Devs would probably have access to a command like this already.

5th idea regarding making the Lures follow the Eidolon is a great solution, but what happens when the Teralyst is caught, or otherwise is like the Gantu or Hydro variant with crazy AOE damage fields?

  12. Prime things were the Orokin precursors of the current-age things. It was stated that they were the 'release versions' of the frames/weapons/things during the Orokin Eras.

The closest thing to a pseudo-Prime (Orokin tech, but not Prime) would be Vor's Seer handgun, or any Tenno armament.

The closest thing to a not-Prime Orokin-'based' anything would be Sentient-related things, since /Spoiler.

    Spoiler

Sentients were originally super-adaptive but vulnerable to Void terraforming drones hurled via the Outer Terminus -> Tau Rail intended to terraform the Tau System for Orokin colonization and exploitation of all resources. This somehow went horribly wrong (A: Mass Effect's 'Morning War' scenario where the [Orokin] try to destroy or deactivate the [Sentients], or B: [Sentients] discover [Orokin] had intentionally given then a weakness and demanded for that to be fixed. [Orokin] said no. [Sentients] decide to go to war to take [Orokin] tech and find a solution with it. C : Both? Neither?).

This would, by a stretch, mean all Sentient weaponry and related Warframes (Chroma and [Kratosframe (wielder of Sentient 2h Katana/Nodachi, bane of Sentients) ] ) are, in a very drawn-out way, Orokin-tech but not Prime.

That means War could be viewed as Gram Prime; Broken War as the Sentient version of Skana Prime.

  13. The Ravenous Golden Maw.

Why does it have to be ravenous?

Those bones could be from people trying to loot the place, or were just put there by the Orokin for decorative purpose. They could be fake for all we know. As for the rope comment, Valkyr and Ivara both have ropes which could've come in handy for the Operator, otherwise it was the Operator trying to sustain their and our sanity.

As for the progression bug... at least it has a temporary fix (DE needs to fix that, but you'll need to elaborate).

Conclusion: I want a Golden Maw companion.

  14. The closest thing to Dedicated Servers would be the Social Spaces (Relays, Clan Dojo, and other locations like Cetus or Maroo's Bazaar), next to the fan-authorized/hosted Conclave servers. The 'pausing' is a Host Migration, where a new host is being selected. Sometimes, people may load in 'prematurely' as I'd say it and lose their invincibility because the game registers they've loaded in, but the Host Migration screen hasn't disappeared yet. A similar issue plagues anyone loading into a mission with a squad that has slow/bad connection(s).

Warframe operates on a peer-to-peer hosting system due to DE not having the financial strength some other, far less benevolent, companies have (i.e: EA, Activision, Sony, Nintendo, Konami, and so on... then Microsoft, though there are others). Until DE finds a method for PVE-based fan-authorized/hosted 'dedicated' servers to operate, then you'll have to make sure you're the host.

As for whether we have immortality while we load in, yes, but it only lasts as long as we haven't spawned, and when we have it's only a second or two then you're at the mercy of whatever enemies are present. Only solutions there is to bring a resilient Warframe, like Inaros and Nidus or to ensure either you or someone with a good connection are the 1st player/host, until DE find a new solution of some kind.

  15. So far the Unum's Tower and Ostrons is/are the only known example of this form of symbiosis. The second closest thing would be the Warframe/Operator synergy that is the Tenno.

Lua is the name the Orokin bestowed upon the Moon. In truth, it's just the removal of the n from Luna.

    Speculation and spoilers ahead.

    Spoiler

Margulis was resurrected by the Lotus according to my theorycrafting, and this isn't impossible given the scope of technological wonders available in this context. Currently, since Apostasy. based on what I can tell, Lotus was essentially in a symbiotic relationship to Margulis (by raising her from the dead and restoring her to as much a pristine condition as possible) until Ballas kicked her out. Margulis for all I can tell is alive and well, but like us, due to Lotus, has missing some memories (likely Lotus' memories, ones about the Sentients, and supposedly everything after Margulis' demise until this moment, though then again there could be remnants due to how aggressive Ballas was with dismounting the Lotus).

That means Margulis is basically back, mentally AND physically, in the same body. Lotus on the other hand may likely contact us as her actual Sentient form, perhaps initially stating that she has lost connection to Margulis and that Ballas would not want us to go after her as of now, then mentioning that Ballas may have knowledge on how to stop Hunhow's reign. This would lead to us trying to get to Ballas before Shadow-Stalker does, which would likely result in watching one of the most serious-hilarious fight scenes in existence play out:

Shadow-Stalker swinging War in many ways at Ballas, each time never hitting him - as though by instinct. The rest of the scene would either be Ballas and Hunhow trying to out-sass eachother, but I'm speculating entirely.

Also: the Womb of/in the Sky was first mentioned in Stolen Dreams and New Strange. The details of which are in the Spoilers.

    Spoiler

I believe that Chroma, following the Pelt's objectives perhaps, made a report ("ALL IS SILENT AND CALM. HUSHED AND EMPTY IS THE WOMB OF THE SKY.") basically saying 'all-clear' to the other Sentients, though the message got lost and turned into the Arcane Codices so the Sentients never got the message. If they did get it in some other timeline, before we became as active as are now, then they would've presumed us all gone, giving us the element of surprise at the cost of the Sentients being a fully fledged, fully active presence which is aggressively hunting down any remaining Orokin.

    [Cross-platform gameplay please]

    Impossible for the following reasons:
0: Violates DE's negotiations with Sony and Microsoft. Also, Sony doesn't want to share at all. However, there has been only ONE case where PS4 and Xb1 players got to interact with eachother, and that was that one Fortnite Battle Royale incident. We need more of those 'incidents'.
1: Console builds require being sent to Certification for Testing. We, the PC Tenno, are the pre-testing puppets employed to find and isolate the bugs. If that was to happen, Console builds would be a lot more buggy than they already are, if there are any bugs there.
2: Platform-specific exclusive cosmetics and items (Founders, Steam-exclusive skins, Console-brand-exclusive skin packs).
3: There was an account migration event ages ago. If DE was to do this again, they would need to strip your account of any/all exclusive items that wouldn't be obtainable on the PC build, or if it was the other way, they'd have to tear off anything that isn't in the console build(s). Not to mention the numerous complicated negotiations they would have to deal with.

    DLC1: The Convergence.
In the end, Consoles will become PCs, and their exclusive content will be migrated to their version of Steam. "The Old War, finally ends." - :sentient: Hunhow

  17. Another Tenno mentioned that it would be nice to have the new Dojo lighting controls available for the Orbiter as well as, on my part, the option to repaint individual rooms. Placeable lighting is possible but hasn't been implemented yet, though I agree that option too should be investigated.

  18. 16 minutes ago, Kainosh said:

...mechanics are not very well suited for controllers.

Objection: I use a 360 wired controller as, from my experience, parkour flows better with a Controller at one's disposal than trying to keyboard dance.

Regarding wall-latch, OP's proposal to add a toggle for it is within the realms of reason, and DE did say they were working on resurrecting Parkour 1.0's wall-run animation*.

*I'd like DE to keep the wall-hop as a 'walk', and tapping/holding the 'sprint' key should turn it into the faster-paced wall-run so long as one has a vertical surface to do so.

On that note, there isn't that many tilesets which make decent opportunities to employ the full parkour mobility arsenal, but personally I find that Orokin Tower/Derelict tilesets, or Lua's, are much more open to vertical combat scenarios. I often use wall-latch to give me a moment to plot how to move next or to get out of range of my own AOE weapons, or otherwise.

Those who want it to last longer have mods and even a Warframe (Loki) which make it so.

Now see those are cool ideas. Tho if that were to ever be a thing, it would also be a nice thing to be able to relocate certain rooms. Like the lounge.

Also...god i wish we could actually sit on those couches. | Where i can get those rugs I've seen players have on their ship? I've been looking everywhere including Cetus, the market and...well Cetus, and i couldn't find anything

I think leaving the lower Orbiter in a fixed state, besides the Transference room's staircase to the upper quarters, would thematically make sense due to how one progresses. Besides, I believe Ordis would have trouble rearranging the lower rooms especially because of the design of that region (i.e: Infested room).

What DE can do to make it possible to sit on the couches is to have a cross-legged sit animation, like a cross between Meditate and Kneel (you fold up your legs, clasp your hands together, then gently land on the floor; getting up would be the animation in reverse), since the current Sit emote doesn't visually fit.

Not to mention we need three 'lay down' emotes so we can lay on the couch, or get some other scenes:
Lay left (the pose would be, essentially, like that meme which goes along the lines of 'draw me like one of your [insert faction/species here] [females]' ), Lay right (flipped), and Lay back (the stereotypical 'sleep' animation).

As for the rugs, I believe there's a 'Reclamator pack' or something that has rugs in it, though I agree that Cetus needs a rug vendor so we can dump resources and reputation on him/her for rugs and things.

  20. 6 minutes ago, Shad0wWatcher said:

If we could make different rooms like in our dojo it would be-....nah that'd kill nearly every use the dojo currently has.

The Dojo is more of a Clan gathering space with specific functions, including:

    Spoiler

    -Unique blueprints in labs.
-Minigames (Duelling*, Parkour room(s), and other puzzles devised by Dojo architects).
    -Arsenal.
    -Navigation.
    -Trading.
-That 'Kingpin' system DE may be holding off for Venus.
*Would like the duelling rooms to be bigger and have bigger versions with the same modular construction components available as the custom Parkour room as of now.

Back onto the subject, though. It wouldn't be a bad idea to use the Aboroform/Aboraform/White Tree Stuff to build a transparent, almost glassy, staircase upwards. Could add some customization to the Orbiter and add a touch of uniqueness which leads to a 'forgotten' section of the interior in three possible ways:

    Spoiler

    A| Aboroform Stairwell.
B| Dual-spiral-staircases curving up into the upper area.
    C| A small lift.
D| A ramp within the room which has a hole in the middle so you can walk directly out/in from said room which leads upwards or downwards.

The additional rooms would be few, and compact like the lounge or 1/2 the size of the Helminth Infirmary. I suspect there could be a room where food is prepared, a storage room for temporary items, and some guest accomodations where The Father (because he says 'Hey Kiddo', the latter being recited when the Tenno says he said 'There's something out there, Kiddo, watching us...' ) could show up instead of randomly around the ship as he does right now because he's been given a spot to call home, as well as some options on what the other rooms could be.

  21. @Shad0wWatcher, unless DE plans to do an Iron Man on the Transference 'Throne' room and add pedestals/podiums for all owned Warframes, then yes, a stairwell could be built into the room (meaning the door to the Transference room is pushed inward by about half the walkable room to fit the twin stairs wrapping to the upper deck).

  22. Weapon swap currently, from my perspective, is OK, but if I wanted to rework it (and a revisit, at least, will come someday), then I have a few ideas given Melee 3.0's imminent arrival with 'any 1h sidearm x any 1h melee'.
Said ideas are in this Spoiler.

    Spoiler

Swapping speed: should be double for small weapons (throwing knives, single-handed sidearms, daggers, dual daggers, swords, and other weapons of similarly small size) to make swapping to sidearms more fluid, but in general should be at the least 1/3x faster than it is now due to how long it takes for some weapons to equip.

Partly irrelevant note: weapons appearing from nowhere (customization: show holstered = no) exists.

    Control alterations:
    Weapon Swap Keybind:
Single tap: switch from Primary to Secondary.
Double-tap: switches Secondary to Secondary + Melee if that is available. Otherwise, swap to Melee.
    Hold: switches to Melee.
Single tap while quick-meleeing: Melee does not go away and there is no illogical/random holstering-unholstering of said Melee.
Single tap, then hold: drops objective item.
    Weapon Reload Keybind:
Tap, while weapon-swapping: stops weapon swap.

    Additional changes:
-Rolling, bullet-jumping, sliding,aim-gliding, wall-latching, and so on will not interrupt weapon swaps. Instead, if the animation doesn't look like it can play, the weapon will just use the 'disappear' FX for invisible holstering and 'appear' FX for it to reappear where it's holstered, if you enabled such settings.
-Abilities can still be cast. If ability animation breaks weapon swapping animation, forgo latter animation (employ 'weapon teleports to hand' technique explained above).
-If swapping to Primary or dual-wielding with an Objective Item in hand, like a Datamass, play the 'ability not ready' sound and state that pressing [weapon swap button] will drop the objective item (meaning tap then hold to drop it).
-Objective items will not be dropped unless the [Single tap, then hold] action takes place.

  23. I have an idea.

Remember that Ascaris Negator? We could give it the power to be used as a gear item to surgically remove the cyst prematurely so we don't have to listen to Helminth's complaints.

Personally if it's a frame I plan on junking, I don't care whether it gets the cyst or not, but if it's a frame I want to keep, then I would like the option to immunize it immediately or as soon as I'm afflicted. Surely by now Ordis would've bothered to go out of his mad Cephalon way to devise an immunization agent for this?

Otherwise, that Eidolon Phylaxis, can our Warframes drink the stuff to kill the cyst?
