  1. As an example, Path of Exile is very consistent about the fact that INCREASED damage stacks together, MORE damage is its own separate multiplier.

I would love it if it could be similarly clear at a glance, looking at a mod or arcane or whatever in Warframe, if something is FLAT crit, INCREASED crit, additive damage, its own multiplier, etc.

I understand that the task is daunting because of the sheer amount of stuff in the game. It might be a long term thing taking several patches, each focused on updating a different system to whatever the new terminology is, but it would be an absolute game changer for me to not have to have the wiki open for basic information.

  2. Also please make it so Tennokai applies to slide heavies, as well. You made half a dozen weapons off the top of my head that all used some form of slide-Heavy for their special abilities, and it really constrains builds without that and is weird that the-thing-that-makes-heavies-appealing doesn't work on a lot of heavy-specific triggering effects like the Tenet Grigori.

It could be a or the reason why the family was as busted as it was: Grampa left Grandma for his assistant.

I don't think he did, though? Wasn't there a line in there about Albrecht not appreciating Loid when he had the chance, or not acknowledging his (Loid's) feelings?

Seemed like an unhealthy dynamic that they had going on. The feeling I got is that Albrecht used Loid's infatuation with him as leverage to get what he wanted out of the man - up to and including getting Loid to send him to the shadow realm 1999. And it also seemed like Loid was aware of the manipulation, but was too trapped by his dependency on Albrecht to walk away. Hence the duality of his frustration/anger and longing. In the end, all this time later, he's still in the palm of Albrecht's hand, and he knows it.

That's how it came across to me, anyway.

Have you experienced anything beyond 60 FPS? Trust me, once you get used to high refresh rate displays, you will feel how choppy 60 FPS is.

This is the case with most fps, though. Your eyes adjust to whatever you're looking at pretty quickly,  however, and soon you won't even notice. This is especially true beyond 60 fps, where actual gains in information becomes increasingly subtle.

I'm apparently the guy that wakes up 1:15 am and immediately checks his phone for the cross save update. It's like it was Christmas morning and I was conjuring the ol' "its after midnight so I can open it" vibe. I'm disappointed in how disappointed I was lol I know darn well it will be released some time midday/afternoon

How sad is it that I look forward to patch days more than Christmas?

    So old.

  6. Two things stand out to me whenever I play Limbo

    1) would like it if they reverted the rifted effect back to what it was before so it's easier to tell what enemy is bloody rifted and what's not

    2) killing a Rift Surge'd enemy in the Rift should perform a radial Banish instead of just tagging one additional enemy. I think right now you have to Banish them out of the Rift to get the effect, which just feels clunky when combined with the previous point.

That would be two big QoL improvements for me.

THAT is the fault of flaws in the modding system. Namely scaling differences. Abilities need absurd power creep to keep up with the fact that almost any basic weapon mod will outstrip dedicating an entire build to power strength if they have even remotely similar base damage.

TBH I've kind of wished that one of the archon shard bonuses was 'converts x% of ability damage to True damage.'

It's so bemusing that sometimes the best way to get Warframe abilities to actually kill stuff outside of a full armor strip is using stacking global damage Circuit decrees.

I mean, I guess the other thing they could do is do a complete Status 3.0+enemy armor/EHP refactor, but considering Pablo just continues to slap viral on sh*t that doesn't make sense thematically, I think DE has just accepted that this is how status works forever now.

  8. The lengths that people will go to to not play this game have always perplexed me. The game is fun, and the grinds aren't hard.

At this point, after Wukong and Azima and other stuff, my first question now is 'okay, so is this the new Chinese slavefarming meta and that's why this is happening?', and it's usually right.

  9. FOMO is one of those double-edged swords where it's very effective against those that are susceptible to it, but they are also the kinds of players that are likely to lose interest in playing if they miss something, because the mind-goblins that feed the one behavior also feed the other.

(This is, incidentally, why a lot of us thing that the heirloom pack being a 'get it or it's gone forever wooo~~~' is sh*t. The game doesn't need more of that dumb stuff.)

That said, I look at archon shards as more like getting loot from a raid in an mmo. If I miss a week, sure I don't get the gear, but it's not a big deal, I'll try next week. I don't really get bothered by that, and that's when I'm on a time-limit for that gear to remain relevant, too. 🤷‍♂️

It's likely going to be the last update of 2024 like Whispers in the Wall.

I didn't see anything slow about WF1999 considering your playing Arthur that's wearing an Excal Suit (or is basically turning into Excalibur)

    Let em cook.

Yeah, like, in the trailer for it we see Arthur doing some a bullet jump at 3:18, as well as some classic quick tap-crouch-to-scootch-faster at 3:46.

Doesn't really seem like this'll be Kahl again.

EV Trin is quite fun and amusing, but it's also blatantly unhealthy for the game. There's a very good reason that DE tried multiple times to kill it off.

Yeah, just like Revenant is totally unhealthy for the game. And the incarnon torid. Or any of dozens of other things this game has that are fundamentally busted, because Warframe is not balanced at all and hasn't been for almost its entire life. You are probably right, though, that this will only survive up to the moment that DE makes the mistake of allowing some actually relevant content be affected by Warframe abilities.

Link needs a target limit because of what it is, you'd have to just straight up give her a completely new ability to do away with it.

There is nothing fundamental about Link that would stop it from working like it does now if it just didn't have a target limit, and linked Trinity to all enemies in range of the ability instead of 3, or 3 + abilitystrength.  It would just be more convenient, and allow you to make more consistent use of the augment.

    1 hour ago, Hexerin said:

Blessing isn't being nerfed, its DR is being shifted over to Link to bring Trin's DR to modern standard (90%). Blessing doesn't need the DR, because it already gives the entire team potentially up to 2.5 seconds of invulnerability (or a bit more in Hildryn's case) every time you press it.

That is objectively a mathematical nerf for the sake of QoL. 90% DR from Link and just health/shield restore on Blessing vs. the current potential 93.75% DR with Link+Bless that also keeps 75% DR to the team on top of the restore. Considering Trinity's classically been a 'support' Warframe - though that, in more modern times, has meant 'help team kill more stuff faster' more than keeping your team alive - that doesn't seem like a very good trade-off. This is double true if you adjust those durations up to better levels baseline, so that the most annoying part of the abilities (having to recast them frequently without high investment in duration) is reduced substantially. Shorting the team +300% EHP so that Trinity can have modestly better QoL is absolutely not a trade I would make.

You need to learn basic game design and balance before you enter this ring, my guy. Trinity needs a rework, that is objective fact that cannot be argued.

Theres a reason why Range wasn't an option in the Archon Shards.

They're worried about making things just absolutely busted.

I think 90% of DE's history with Warframe is them not caring at all about stuff being busted.

I cannot look at the Torid incarnon or Revenant's mesmer skin or any of a half-dozen other things in just the last year or two and say with a straight face that DE gives two sh*ts about balance. Like, the one thing they did to tamp stuff down was nerf AoE spam, but that ended up barely mattering because a few months later the incarnons arrived.

This game is a silly power fantasy, and is so broken you'd have to be foolish to take it seriously. A few range archon shards isn't going to change that one way or another.
