  1. To be honest, you won't find a tune that hasn't been played before.

Believe it or not, throughout the history, we've just been repeating the same melodies over and over again.

Pretty much every single rap, pop, rock, rnb, techno, etc... tune can be heard even in the classics from 17-18th century. Not to mention the thousands of years of music production.

The main difference is just the tools we use to produce.

I'm not saying that DE didn't get their inspiration from the music above or from other artists.

But coming up with an original tune is (almost) impossible.

  2. actually they changed it. When it first was out you didn't need a broken war to build a war. But with one of the hotfixes they added this. So im not really sure this will change again

Indeed. I was really disappointed when I saw this.

This will be the first that that we'll have to pay platinum to keep a weapon. I really hope this changes.

  3. To craft War (Stalker weapon) we need Broken-War (quest weapon).

The problem is that you loose Broken-War. As far as I know, you can't get a 2nd copy. (see edit)

Broken-War seems to be the most powerful single sword at the moment, so it's not an easy choice.

This kind of forces those who want to keep both weapons to buy the Hunhow's gift bundle (595p).

Are there any plans to make the Broken-War re-obtainable? (see edit)

Or perhaps offer a slightly less packed bundle with the War? (War + Pakal set)

    EDIT:

For a moment, I was happy to see Steve's twitter post, saying that we'd be able to obtain Broken-War once again.

As of the latest hotfix (18.0.5) Broken-War BP became obtainable from the Stalker as well. But you need War to craft Broken-War.

In shot, you still need to pay platinum if you want to keep both weapons.

This is unlike DE, so it looks like an oversight to me.

PS: I'll keep this thread up to date if things change.
  4. how bout instead of being able to directly choose from the pool, instead we can get a token of some sort that can be traded at a lesser value for those weapon parts and maybe lenses?

something like 5 for one weapon part, 3 for a lens?

I like this idea as well.

Having a sense of progression (even a slow one) is better than making it full RNG, in my opinion.

  5. Well if ''select the reward'' , then all of us will select the lenses

Once people have acquired them for their favorite gear, lenses won't be as popular.

Don't really think so. Bet you that most ppl will go for Legendary cores then xD.

If the choice was from the full pool, then yes, Legendary Cores would be picked until all your mods are maxed.

But as mentioned above, the Legendary Core won't be in the "select" option.

  6. At the moment, we get one random reward from the sortie, but what if we were given an option to choose a reward at the cost of reduced rewards pool?

So if you finish all 3 sortie, you get two options:

    1. Roll the Dice (get a random reward)

    2. Select a reward

If you choose to Roll the Dice, you'll get one random reward from the full pool.

If you go with selecting your reward, the rewards pool will be reduced (things such as Catalyst, Reactor, Legendary Core, etc... will not be in the selection list and will only be obtainable if you go with Roll the Dice option).

  7. Couple of hours to complete the 3rd defense mission? The infested one?

Went solo and it took around 20 min to finish. Infested units drop pretty fast if you use melee.

So far, I ran all 9 sortie missions solo and non of them felt really challenging. Perhaps give solo a try?

Anyway, if there is one thing I don't like about sortie, is that we can get the same reward more than once. This makes completing sets, such as Dera Vandal extremely tedious. If you're unlucky, it could take months to finish a set. So would be nice if we could choose the sortie rewards or at least if the rewards that we already have got eliminated.

  8. This isn't the problem, though. The operator has a face and a voice that isn't ours, therefore we can't picture ourselves as the operator any more.

I was replying to what you said in the OP.

Now, Warframes are just empty shells. They all have the same voice now for me, they all do the same, they all look the same. I cant emphatize with them anymore. They are just puppets now, the lore of the game lost its touch for me.

Yes, I see that you're especially disappointed with the customization part.

But, the explanation above still may help you to ease your mind.

As mentioned above, the operator simply provides energy to the Warframe. Basically, the Warframe still has a mind of its own.

In short, you could interpret the operator as your partner. So, you can still attach yourself to the Warframe, while seeing the operator as someone that works with you. Your significant other, if you will.

I mean, it's clear that DE wants us to feel like we're the operator (by providing us with customization and all), but that shouldn't stop us from roleplay as the Warframe itself. Unless you don't like that idea either.

  9. But at the end, the frame pulled out the sword and broke it.

From this, there are two (or more) conclusions:

    1. The operator, that the stalker was choking, somehow managed to reach to its frame and command it to destroy the sword.

    2. The frame is also a living being, but can no longer live without the operator providing it energy. Their minds become one when they link, just like in Pacific Rim (if you've seen the movie), but they are still 2 separate beings, the Tenno and the Warframe.

In short, if you want to feel any better, assume that the 2nd one is the truth.

  10. Was about to make this topic.

I haven't been able to check everything in U18, but seriously, one hell of an update!

Just in case, I'll put things under spoiler tags.

Second Dream was mind blowing. And the Moon looks amazing!

Didn't even expect the focus system, not to mention for it to be this extensive.

The spacious ship and potential for additional rooms.

Haven't even checked the bazaar place on Earth yet.

Ivara is one of the most if not the most creative frame!

Stalker fight was pretty fun (not just during the quest, but when he comes after you in regular missions). I hope Zanuka gets same treatment.

    The awesome new login reward!

Well, time to get back in game.

  11. http://www.pcgamer.com/warframes-next-big-update-launches-this-week/

    - Rhino Stomp is recastable now and picks up new enemies in range.

they only added damage and damage to charge soo...   i guess the way to play him will change a bit..  i'll have to change my build for sure

Now that Stomp can be spammed, the duration&range build will become a lot more popular.

So the new meta for Rhino would probably be "float everything 24/7".

  12. Aleph is an original design. Interestingly enough, that's what got DE's attention and got them to contact me.

I really love the skin you made for Rhino.

And Frost being one of my favorites, I sure hope we get that Aleph skin as well!

    Just look at that glory.
