Ko-Rovak steps back but looks at the grineer in the face.

"I have not killed another Tenno for the Queens. I'm under disguise helping a small grineer mining colony, protecting them from possible Corpus threats, for my own reasons. But I have things that may interest the Meridian... Minerals, prisoners, among other things."

Behind his back, Ko-Rovak held one of the gremlins in his hand, in case anything went awry.

"Are you pretending to follow the Queens to maintain your cover?" Luc said. "Or do you truly answer to those maggots?"

"Well, I wanted to speak to the Meridian general here. I represent the industrial grineer populace of Earth under the Queens. Not the military sect, just the workers. I wanted to make a proposition."

The Manticore stops and you turn to find him staring at you. His canon is charged and his hand lingers near his Brakk.

"If you serve the Queens." He says. "Then you have no business here."

    His voice grows angry.

"If you are a member of the resistance, if you fight against those honorless worms, that would be different." He says. "But any friend of the Queens is no friend of Synergy, and will not last long on our soil."

Ko-Rovak stared at the custom Jat Kittags. He had only seen one once when he was deployed alongside a shock troop of grineer infantry.

"Manticore corps, huh? I'm guessing they're with the Steel Meridian as well?"

"Yes we are." He says. "Though there aren't that many of us yet."

    "Past the capitol huh?"

Ko-Rovak begna walking until a grineer stopped him.

    "Yeah. I do. Who's asking?"

The chroma looked at the hammers, then back up to the strange grineer. Already he felt intimidated, though he was trained to never show weakness even in the face of an unstoppable threat.

The massive Grineer extends a hand.

"Luc." He said. "General Luc. Commander of the Manticore Corps."

He begins walking alongside you. You can feel the footfalls through the earth.

"I suppose I should return as well." He says. "Borris said he had some new recruits who needed some sense knocked into them."

He slides the Double-sided Kittage onto his back between the other weapons. It seems small compared to his armor.

The village wasn't crowded, but neither was it deserted.  As Ko-Rovak wandered through the village, he caught sight of a young man having lunch on a picnic bench.  When asked about Steel Meridian, he looked Ko-Rovak up and down before responding.

"Meridian, eh?  You'll want to head west, past the Capitol.  You can't miss it - they're not much for the whole 'disguise' thing."

"Meridian?" You hear a deep voice ask. "And what would you want with them?"

The obviously Grineer voice comes from a large armored figure standing nearby. His armor is similar to a bombard's but features much thicker plates. You can see movement assist systems on his legs, beneath massive slabs of curved armor. The armor looks as if someone got the idea to take the armor from a tank and graft it onto a single soldier, a comparison made more poignant by the large cannon mounted on the shoulder of the suit. The entire suit looks like it weighs at least a ton, and stands about eight feet tall, and you doubt whether any conventional weapon would even scratch it. The figure is standing at ease, though, and as he looks you up and down you see him shift as if the armor weighed nothing more than everyday clothes. Two slightly smaller versions of the Jat Kittag hang from his back. Another, a strange double sided version, lays on the table beside him. A Brakk handcannon sits at his hip.

The helmet's visor slides up and you see a surprisingly intelligent pair of Grineer eyes look at you. Whoever is inside the massive armor is no simple grunt.

"Do you have business there?" He asks. "Or are you just lost?"

You sense his mocking tone is meant in jest, however his eyes seem to scan you, darting over the weapons and lingering on the armored plates.

Already Ko-Rovak began getting irritated. His temper was unusually short, and he quickly got into arguments, one of the reasons why his armor was heavily scarred.

"Saw blades, chainsaws, and nail guns."

As he said that he tenderly rubbed one of the gremlins on his right thigh.

"Alright scans check out."Simon says. "Have a good time on Phenix."

You see the rail power up and wait for you.

  7. 5 minutes ago, Dynamon_X said:

A chroma was waiting at the rail. His armor was pitch black, and the energy beneath the frame glowed a bright toxic green. Most of his weapons were tucked away cleverly, though he made no effort to hide the massive saw blade launcher on his back. All grinder manufactured weaponry. His armor was decorated with grineer plates as well, matching his armor.

As as he was waiting, a slew of questions popped up from the holo display. He let out a grunt and looked at the console

    "

    Name?

    Race?

    Reason for visiting?

    Cargo to Declare?

    "

He responded with another grunt and began grumbling

    "Ko-Rovak. Gr... Tenno. Business. Guns."

He clearly wasn't used to responding so mechanically, though he got it over with as quickly as possible.

"Guns." Simon says. "Anything out of the ordinary? Or just standard munitions and weaponry"

The Mesa opens the comm and replies to the Theylin's transmission

"Clear on the situation. Inform your boys they'll have a couple of presents upon landing". Not turning the communicational channel off, she briefly gave orders to her clanmates, "The basic scenario remains the same: left-wing - provide air support; right-wing - clear the shore and shove the hostile fighters to aerospace; carrier one - land and assist the friendly ground forces; carrier two - execute the "hammerhead" scenario once the right wing will clear the trail for a force-boarding. To hunt, tigers!", she exclaimed confidently.

Just after the roles divide, the column broke in two; three xiphos attackers, one carrier mantis, and two scimitar fighters took a course to the defined landing point while three remaining scimitars, the other mantis, and the liset proceeded to engage the space targets.

Down in the miners settlement, the local security forces, militia, and last-minute-volunteers tried to slow the grineer down, struggling to hold their ground desperately. The evac vessels landed first, dropping Sons of Hayden troopers, who momentarily engaged the skirmish. Then, after about ten seconds, a duet of heavy scimitar fighters flew on low height, taking down the grineer carriers that didn't manage to land in time with air-to-air missiles. Then, after six seconds after fighters swift swoop, the trio of xiphoses combed out the grineer land units and armored troop carriers with the fire of heavy automatic cannons, suppressing the closest hoards of clones that already tried to breach the landing perimeter and disabling armored vehicles that covered infantry onslaught. On the second run, the attack vessels dropped per a heavy sentry turret that began to shower the now-confused clones with high-caliber rounds, helping the landing forces to clear out the drop point from hostile presence. When the trio of xiphoses flew for their third round, the mantis carrier dropped a healing station and disembarked a land squad featuring Frost, Oberon, Nova, and Banshee. Frost almost instinctively raised his snowglobe around the healing tower and dropped the team energy restorer; Oberon spewed the numerous healing orbs, aiding the allied troopers that were hit shortly after disembarking, and began to infuse everyone's weapons as fast as the energy restorers allowed; Nova and Banshee took more secure position and cast their most team-benefitting abilities, rendering yet-surviving grineer troopers vulnerable, slowed, and exposed to tenno radars. While the landing party was preoccupied with clearing out the "beach", all of the five left-wing air units took the opportunity of sudden attack and charged straight at the galleon that stuck in the atmosphere. With the combined fire of five well-armed units, they blew the armored mug of the "floating caterpillar" that fruitlessly tried to turn around and to cut one's lucky to its two siblings that were still hanging in space.

Back in space, however, the skirmish was much more ferocious: four tenno aircraft vigorously fought the numerous grineer fighters, avoiding the fire from deck calibers. The dogfight was brutal. The only thing that kept the tenno forces intact was the fact that galleons deck calibers were poor flak cannons, allowing fast and relatively small vessels to stay safe as long as they keep maneuvering. But still, there were lesser grineer vessels and dregs that had to be taken down and so slowed the advancement of the right-wing. The progress became possible only when the two scimitar fighters from the left-wing joined their comrades. With additional firepower, the striking echelon broke the resistance of minor grineer flying objects and made it possible for the second mantis carrier to make it close enough to breach the galleon's hull with the boarding capsule near the captain bridge. As soon as the breach happened, the team of fighters suddely disengaged the dogfight and flew away from the both remaining galleons. Four minutes and twenty seconds after, the breached galleon began to turn around in his "sibling's" direction. Half a minute later, when it began to go to the forehead, a group of  archwing-equipped figures flew out from the "wound" of the kamikadze ship, charging swiftly to the mantis carrier that ejected them a few minutes ago.

So that's what these bastards call the "hammerhead" scenario...

"Civilians loaded." Theylin says. "We have incoming."

Several Grineer warships come out of punch. Several of the Sons of Hayden's ships fire. The beams tear into the Galleons.

"Fold engines charging." He says. "Keep them off us for a few more minutes."

Beams lance out from the ships, cleaving through Grineer fighters. But for every one they cut down more arrive. Still the sheer firepower the shops can muster is impressive.

Basically, more tweaked than anything. IE, it channels energy rather than having a timer, and can link to allies in range, increasing the benefits of her other abilities. She also has a slightly higher affinity for telekinesis, but not anything combat worthy.

    That can work.

Before I join in on this, are there any recent events that I should take note of?

Secondly, are modified frames, weapons, controlled proxies allowed? Physically modified, not speaking about in game modifications. Everything I have is based off canonical weaponry, but some of it is modified from the base form. IE a Trinity prime with a helm looking like a mix between a nyx prime and trinity prime helm due to a foundry screwup, custom link ability etc? Just asking so I don't breach the line of new weaponry without having checked first.

There is a crashing infested ship. And a tournament where you can challenge other tenno. All apart from custom link ability.

Could you describe that in more detail?

Lord turned around. "I hadn't intended to walk, but I suppose I am curious about how you seem to teleport around." He tapped his helmet's ear again. "Stendra, get the labs up and running while I'm away"

The Arbiter points at you and golden light flares. You find yourself on a grassy plain as it fades.

"I hope you got readings of that." He says. "I'm afraid I can't tell you though. Trade secret."

You look around and see several Tenno, and a few odd beings in assorted armors.

Lord held up a hand, observing the ball of purple energy he'd created. "You'd be surprised, what this old hunk of junk can do." he chuckled. "Alright, I guess I'll watch for a while. Don't expect me to jump into a match right away, though." He started walking towards his Scimitar, which he had landed a short distance away. "Where do I find this tournament?"

The Arbiter holds up a hand glowing with golden energy.

"Why walk?" He asks. "I'm sure you're curious about how I get around."

Lord turned to Ryoko, inviting him to stand with him. "It's meager,  compared to what we have at the Dojo, but it works. I called in some extra supplies for the Behemoth dissection, but it'll be a while before the facility has the energy and space needed to perform such a massive job. I hope there's no rush on that."

No rush." Ryoko says. "In the meantime why not head over to the Tournament."

Lord clapped his hands together. "Well then, no more time to waste. Get those labs up and running." Stendra made a quick salute, and issued a hand signal to the Liset crews. Multiple metal boxes were shoved out of the read compartments of the Lisets, and the present Osprey drones and Liset tractor beams were ordered to unfold them, revealing spacious buildings. Two were linked to form a larger room, and supplies were moved in. Satisfied that the labs would be up and running, the Vauban climbed back into his ship and punched out.

"Get the lab crews working, and prepare for a large specimen delivery." Lord said to Stendra. She walked into the labs and ordered the remaining crews to set about preparing the various supplies.

Lord watched from afar, wondering of anyone would show up to check on progress any time soon.

A flash of golden light heralds the arrival of the Arbiter.

"Glad to see you got the labs up and running." Ryoko says. "Quite a nice set-up you have here."

((Sorry for the hiatus, had to give those foundries some time to work.))

Lord stood on the beachfront where his research facilities were to be set up, his Salix syandana flapping gently in the wind. Multiple objects which appeared to be markers had been stuck into the ground at regular intervals. He held two fingers to his helmet's "ear" and appeared to be speaking to someone. He nodded and took his hand off his helmet, and looked to the sky.

In the space far from Synergy, a large squad of Landers queued for the Rail. Many of them were plain Lisets, embossed with a strange logo on the front. Leading them was a white-and-orange Xiphos, bearing smaller versions of the logo. A transmission was sent to rail control:

"This is GOTE Convoy 1 , prepping for jump. We are in the process of providing resources for a research effort requested by one of our forerunners. Our cargo manifest is described as follows:". A massive list was transmitted to Rail Control. "Please send affirmation or negation within the hour, or we will move on."

"You are cleared for punch." Simon says. "Go ahead."

Katrina  put th box she was holding down. "I can understand that tenno and civilians can have a hard time around each other. Was like that too in my clan."

She took a minute to think about a story, she could only think of one. "Well there is one strange tale i could tell. It was on earth, i has found a group of humans trying to escape the grineer, i tried to help them but we ended up getting pinned. We desperatly tried fending them of as i had ran out of energy. Something then just simply cut down the grineer that pinned us. They approached me afterwards and handed me an odd looking gun and said 'you fought for a noble cause.' Afterwards they told me to go to my ship and that he would bring the humans to safety. A few days later i got a message from the group of humans. They all had made it out alive. When i asked them about the figure the told me they only know their name, Epoch."

"Did you ever find out more about this figure?" Maurice asks.

  19. 10 hours ago, kyrozon said:

"At least he died a honorable dead. Also i'm grateful that you where willing to share this story with me." Katrina took a glare over to the foreman to see if he gave any signal about them reaching their destination.

The foreman gestures to set down the boxes and the group moves back towards the stairs.

"I am glad you took an interest in it." Maurice says. "Most Tenno do not associate with civilians. Nor the other way around. Sometimes I feel we are too divided."

    She looks at you.

"Tell me about yourself." She says. "A story, for a story. You must have a great deal many tales."

  20. 8 minutes ago, kyrozon said:

Katrina also glanced into the direction Maurice glared at.

"Some fight that must have been. But why is that sword there and not with whoever owns it?"

"Because he is not with us anymore." Maurice says sadly. "He died fighting Sargas Ruk. Fighting for his people."

"We found this colony." She says. "Made a home. But part of the Old Chanceller must have missed war. He was always running off to the Origin system with the Arbiter. When we made the Archons he saw his chance to return to the field. He died a warrior's death. His wife rules us now."

  21. 29 minutes ago, kyrozon said:

"And  who was he?" Katrina asked, she sounded really intreseted in the story.

    ((can't do colors right now))

"The Arbiter." Maurice says. "You might know him as Ryoko. One of the Elder Tenno, a member of their Council."

She glances at something behind you and move back towards the stairs. You see the foreman of the group making a "keep moving" signal.

"He found Gallik, the Chancellor, and gave him weapons. And armor." She said. "Began supplying us with armaments and items we could never have raided. Allowed us to make an impact."

"Of course they found us eventually." She said. "The Chancellor and Ryoko bought us time to escape. They fought back to back. Like twin gods of fury and steel. How many we lost I can count on one hand. How many the Grineer lost.... I doubt even they can count."

You pass the window and see the sword in the stone again. The sight seems somewhat sad to you. It strikes you as strange that the weapon would not be with its master.

"We took refuge in the Clan's Dojo." She said. "But between us and the rest of the refugees... there was never enough room."
