You really should have taken his advice and stuck to yourself. Nobody cares about your input in any capacity whatsoever. On topic - If you take a look at "melee frames" I'm sure, as OP touched on, he is by far and away the worst. It's not even funny. Baruuk has almost entirely all of his function, range and all, and does it with supreme tankability. Even has an adapting element/status based augment (sound familiar?) You have Voruna, who is either a fantastic stealth frame or completely and utterly immortal while buffing the weapon she uses to absurd levels with +100% flat Status, Crit, Crit Multiplier and forced slash procs on ANY melee weapon she uses. You have Kullervo, who again brings survivability (like all the other frames NOT named Excalibur), mass amounts of AoE and absolutely absurd weapon buffing in the form of flat crit chance. Excalibur absolutely is weak, regardless of what a certain individual lacking in intelligence wants to claim. His exalted is weaker than a normal melee weapon with a melee arcane and Tennokai, his survivability is terrible, his weapon buffing is non-existent without an augment, and his CC, while good, is CC in current day Warframe. I see no reason outside of aesthetics to use Excalibur, and even then you're doing several times the work in order to do several magnitudes less than other frames. His survivability is downright insulting in Steel Path even compared to (or especially compared to) the other starters.

Some warframes, like Nidus or Frost need several augments while some warframes can literally not function without atleast one (Gyre). It's really bad for a lot of frames that just don't function without them. If they're not going to bake some of these into the frames' kits then yeah we need an augment slot.

Saryn does not need to build up spores, let alone with emerald shards. Gyre exists. Garuda exists. Frost breach surge exists. Mesa exists. Voruna exists. Gara exists. Dagath exists. Khora. Xaku. Protea. Kullervo. I'm not buying your rhetoric that Nezha was so far above everything else in the game. "no other warframe" is just flat out wrong. Was the augment strong? Sure! Should the range be nerfed by about 25% ish? Sure! But to pretend he was so far and above everything else in the game is just patently wrong. Also, any weapon? That's just completely wrong as well. The weapon had to be specialized to the augment. Yeah, people used heavy slash procs from melees and weapons like the phantasma, but if you think any weapon + the augment was destroying steel path with 1-3 bullets you just flat-out did not use the augment at all.

I didn't know that, that is the issue and not just the range then. Sounds like they should remove that interaction, nerf range by 25% instead and have that be the nerf then instead of reducing usable area by 75%.

Sorry, but DE has decided they are not going to adjust it at all. They released a good augment, people mentioned it needed a small nerf and then they destroyed it. Look at all the dead augments in the game - this is now just another one of those. How often do those get adjustments or changed? Yeah, almost never. That's Nezha's fate now. We have precedent for it. Thanks DE!

I've given up with DE when it comes to communication with them. They know exactly what people want - they don't care. Reverting the LOS for Dante and reducing the range buff for Nezha would fix everything and make everyone happy but they absolutely will not do it. If they do it they admit they were wrong and they refuse to admit they're wrong to the community. This isn't the first time DE has done this. They have a history of standoffishly destroying something with no real reason and then fixing it back to maybe 20% of where it was before and saying "See, we listened! We fixed it like you guys' wanted!". Look at this nonsense with Dante's LOS. They keep trying to "improve" it or "fix" it when it was never even an issue. They decided it was an issue and the community's' opinion doesn't matter because they believe they have the right to determine what is and what isn't because they are the developers of the game, and we're just players who don't know what we're talking about. Nezha's augment will never be fixed and LOS will never be removed from Dante. They'll throw you saltines and tell you to be happy that they fed you at all.

It's not expediate suffering at all though, completely different functions. It has nothing to do with proc condense. Also, more range? One is a cone and the other is radial, range works differently with both of these. You can build expedite suffering for range. I'm not entirely sure you know what you're talking about.

You really don't like this game lmao. If you want to nerf every single thing in Warframe I think you just don't like Warframe buddy.

Range can be nerfed (505 WAY too much) , but what I would have done is never add the status damage multiplication aspect to begin with. Infact, why not make speared enemies who share status damage take LESS multiplicative status damage? That way, if you want to nuke with it you need to really invest in a supplementary weapon to do so.

Okay, remove ability nukes. Now people just use Incarnons like boar or Latron. I think you genuinely just don't like Warframe.

I'll let you know this - check the profile of anyone happy about these nerfs. They're almost all Destiny players. Actual Warframe vets/players aren't the ones advocating for this, It's the tourists not realizing this is NOT Destiny. Warframe isn't about tight balance - It's a fun power fantasy with interesting abilities and synergies. It's been this way for over half a decade. Frankly it doesn't NEED to be Destiny and nor do I think it should be. Warframe is Warframe

If she feels good on launch you know which direction they'll take her. DE is letting you know, in no uncertain terms exactly what their intents are now so you're not surprised later. We actually have to pray Jade is subpar on launch for her to be good. What a joke.
