(PSN)de_sch0sch
The recent Silver Grove Nightwave made me realize that day/night in Cetus/PoE does not synch with the day/night cycle of the regular nodes on earth. It was a PITA to figure out when to hunt for the plants required to craft the apothics. Having the cycles synched would not only be a QoL enhancement but also add consistency. Walkampf
This decision has it's reason, namely the Eidolon hunt. Synching whould either increase night time and thus basically remove the time limit for Eidolon hunts or it whould significantly shorten the day and thus locking newer/weaker players out of the plain for significantly more time. NekroArts
This website Warframe Hub has a lot of tracking for different time-based things. I get some people not liking to use outside source to get the time, so adding Earth's clock in-game is reasonable. Syncing up both Earth's and Cetus/PoE clock may not be a good idea. All times syncing up with Earth's will make PoE potentially harder for new players to enjoy the open world content as night is more notably "harder" than day. Enemy visibility is reduced Vomvalyst can chase them for long distance (if not getting away fast enough, bonus if they haven't unlock Operator) And there's a long wait time between day and night by 4 hours Syncing up with PoE doesn't really have an issue gameplay-wise, but after knowing PoE's time schedule you'll see that (assuming average person: reasonable sleep, work/school, outside life) the amount of opportunities to get night is 2-3, 1 on an unfavorable day. The most likely reason they won't suffer from that is because they got a free day. DE could change how time is set for both so they can sync while eliminating the issues above by a certain degree, if not completely. LSG501
Personally I feel it would be easier at this point for DE to add the 'plants' from the rest of earth into PoE and have the night ones spawn at night and the day ones spawn in the day time. That way you have a constant time of availability and it also doesn't impact the rest of the coding for day/night on earth.
