Will we ever get SPEARS?

I mean a proper melee weapon class, not a polearm with a stance.
That stabs, and stabs, and stabs, and ocassionaly slashes.
And has very good forward reach.

While polearms with Twirling Spire do have the same appeal, Twirling Spire is still mostly slashes with occasional stabs.
I also hate the double-edged fashion of a lot of those things. And there's a lot of them.

Come on, DE, you covered most basic weapon types like swords and axes, how comes you havent covered SPEARS? The most basic weapon type there is?

Charge attacks throws the spear 

The longer it travel the more damage it does

The [Kesheg] without a stance mod is my current favorite as it's as close as i can get to actual spear action but it's not too effective in generally high level missions.

One of the zaw polearms looks pretty close to a spear. A bit harpoonish, but it's close.

If you want spear action (which I'd like some as well), then the sydon series have great spear stances as default.

Just wish they would actually change the sydon to a spear and make a full stance out of it.
