Why don't we have a dedicated plant-flora Warframe?

No, Oberon and Saryn are NOT plant Warframes. Khora's deluxe is also not a plant Warframe.

We have elemental Warframes covering several areas (fire, earth, water, air, ice, electricity etc...). But we have yet to get an actual plant Warframe. We even have gotten Warframes with overlapping themes (Vauban and Protea, Banshee and Octavia, Sevagoth and Nekros) yet we do not have a dedicated plantframe.

 

Brief brainstorm of ideas:

Passive: Photosynthesis - plantframe recovers health and energy when standing in light.

Abilities:

1. Plantframe has several seeds for plants with different properties. One can be planted on enemies to yield a friendly plant ally, others can be planted on the environment to transform into wild flowers that attack foes and the other can be placed to periodically heal and cleanse allies.

2. Plantframe vegifies an enemy turning into a twisted tree version of themselves. Her plants siphon life essence to produce "fruits". Allies picking up this fruit get a buff (damage buff? Armor?). After expiration, the tree explodes dealing Gas damage to surrounding foes that scales with enemy health.

3. Plantframe releases toxic pollen that enhances the effects of any deployed plants while dealing heavy Gas damage to any enemies. Allies get bonus Gas damage.

4. Plantframe plants herself into the ground, spreads her roots and "blooms". In this stationary phase, plantframe gets damage reduction, health regen and can use thorned vines and toxic flowers to attack foes. Melee prompts swings the vines like whips, dealing heavy puncture and slash damagea. Aim-Fire prompts causes her flowers to spit corrosive goo that sticks and immobilizes enemies while reducing armor and dealing Corrosive damage.

Made two concept for plant frames with diferent kits. One with some neat resources management and buffing mechanics and the other shape-shifting into a giant threant 

As far as the kit is concerned 1 and 2 have potential gameplay potential and are really good theme wise ( plating stuff) but need a bit more form ( comiting to the idea and polishing it ). Third is a bit bland generic aoe , generic damage buff and buffing on top off a buff for plants. Forth skill I stand against any skill that immobilized the player for a long period off time because they take away half of the player input and more than half of the skill expression.

Oberon PRIME has a grass patch skill. Calling him a plant frame is a bit of a stretch. Also I was around the time off his release and literally none off his marketing included plant at best people say he has a druid theme even if his skills say paladin.

Every new Warframe has abilities that extrapolate with other frames and they still exist. There's only so many unique abilities you can make. Your point?

Having some weeds on his second does not make him the plant frame.

Hallowed Ground description: Sanctifies the ground before Oberon with righteous fire, inflicting damage to any enemy that stands in the flames.

By your train of thought, he is also the fire Warframe

Name two frames that have the same ability just with a different skin on it. And I don't mean mechanically the same on the surface, because that way you can say oberon's 4 is mag's 4 because it targets multiple enemies and stuns them while also dealing damage.

Meanwhile, you're suggesting that ability 1 be wisp reservoir that also attacks, because it's not overpowered enough already. Then you're saying ability 2 should be titania's buffs but without having to switch between them manually. Then ability 3 is Saryn's 1 but with gas damage, and with the augment already applied. And finally, ability 4 is Hydroid's 4 but you can also shoot without spending bullets or modding a weapon, and if that's not overpowered enough, let's have it be hard to kill as well by regenerating and getting extra damage reduction while it melts enemy armor.

We have plenty of ways to be unkillable already, that ability set description is just your personal fantasy, and neither necessary nor interesting. We don't have a metalbending frame woop-dee-doo, oh no we have no frame that can turn into a cat, what shall we do? Oh perish the thought, we have no frame that summons cthulhu, this must be remedied!

It's a quick brainstorm. Meant to be conceptual. Nothing is written in stone and DE always has the final word anyways.

Metalbending sounds pretty cool ngl. I'd like to see what'd you guys would make it be
