Platform logos next to names everywhere takes me out of the fantasy of this game

Seeing the Microsoft Windows logo everywhere just breaks the fantasy (for me) that this is some alternate universe. I understand it's needed in some places to prevent confusion / impersonation, but does it need to be shown everywhere?

I lost that impression years ago, as soon as I had a look at the easter ears, xmas candy cane, halloween pumpkin head, etc...

While it doesn't take me out of the fantasy, I do find it annoying to look at and not entirely sure why we need it.  (Same with the numbers at the end of our names mimicking Discord) Unless there's restrictions on friends, clan, alliance, trading, inviting to lobby, etc. based on platform, there isn't really a reason to have the tags visible all the time when we could just have a pop up saying "Cannot execute due to <platform> restrictions"  

Player names don't need unique numbers either as naming format is still restricted by platform and could easily be resolved by a hidden <platform abbreviation> tag.

Would be better if DE only show those logos when there is player from different platform, like Xbox between Windows, so all Windows players wont see windows logos everywhere, only Xbox

I don't really think this game is going for immersion anyway. We kill the same bosses 100 times, run missions with zero information about why we're running them or what our objectives are, kill billions of soldiers without the other factions ever getting weaker, etc.
