Plague Star event gameplay rework

Again and again we hear from Lotus that "infestation became dangerous as never before" and it is similar and familiar. So some suggestions to rework Plague Star gameplay completely.

Reasons:

1) Some PC still have problems with Plains of Eidolons. Even high-end one.

2) Spontaneous disconnects disallows to re-connect (general PoE issue)

3) Extremely fast pased yet repetative gameplay which definetely prefer one or two framesover all other.

In general, make this mission endless. So that's some suggestions:

1) Defence mission. Tenno need to protect toxin priducing facility from both greneer demos, waves of infested. Every 3-5min tenno need to deliver canister to infested boil to spawn large enemy? reduce infestation meter and continue mission.

2) Interception mission. Cap and keep points of regulatory center of toxin producing facility. Again greener and the one and only Way Kek every second round.

3) Survival mission. Obvious survival mission, let's pretend it happens inside Way Kek facility. Normal enemies and some enormous grown infests. Instead of "air" -- infestation reducing %something%.

Both missions can posses protective units like Arbitration drones.

IMO any of this missions can extend lore a bit, offer different and more balanced gameplay with no such w-frame selection bias.

I would love a rework but I doubt DE will touch this event, so far it has been seasonal between 2 or 3 years.

I would like to see things like: went out through the cetus gate and sees the large infested meteor falling and creating an explosion so big that it turned day into night for a few seconds, the hemocyte could have a special model and another detail is that the first version This event had infested spawning in all eidolon locations which made it impossible to get afk.

The problem is also that content is completely missing!
I played through it who knows how many years ago and today there is still nothing new? and the bugs are the old ones???????

come on...................................

I'd LOVE if it was an endless mission but that'd be too convenient for us tbh

So I agree with your other issues and PoE in general has some weird problems with its matchmaking (it likes to put me in free roam when I select bounties sometimes, or ends in some weird cycle of join, disconnect, join where I cannot leave the squad / clicking the button does nothing), but what issues specifically are you referring to here that PCs have? If anything last gen consoles / NSW have more issues with open worlds than any PCs, so I'm curious what problems people are observing on high-end systems that would be unique to performance.

i think it'd be nice if Plague Star was an all-out assault on the boil, with the Grineer ignoring Vay Hek for once and realising the Infestation is a much bigger threat than the few ostrons behind the walls of Cetus. the Deimos units could also make an appearance, and the focus was more on combat:

step 1: help the Grineer escort a massive payload of Thrax Toxin towards the boil, while being attacked by the Infested.

step 2: the Boil starts producing Hemocytes, which are no longer recoloured Lephantis clones, but more like a mutated version of a warframe, a powerful, agile infested beast, more akin to the Zealoid Prelate, but not identical. swarms of infested accompany them of course.

it'd be simpler, and with much more intensive combat, which IMO is how it's supposed to be with the infested. an all out massive battle on the plains against hundreds upon hundreds of infested, now that sounds like a good time!

Switch is a rotten sweet potato tier

And it still loads the Plains completely fine

really now?
This is an extreme surprise!
I even did some research in the POE forum. tencent also bought it.
It's probably due to DLSS "Deep learning super sampling. Nvidia's AI protocol for upscale games"?
Because this little nintendo thing can perform so well?

But for super ugly ancient Path of Exile graphics you need NASA PC?
So the developers of DLSS are really into it!

What on Earth are you talking about?

Edit: Is it because I made a dig on sweet potato?

@Venus-Venera This is unrelated to the topic about plague star but DLSS is generally used with RTX 2XXX series and above cards (with people claiming tensor cores are slightly used for these upscaling workloads); given how old the switch is, the Tegra X1 it has is not capable of using DLSS. Panic button, who originally helped develop the NSW build of Warframe, just used dynamic resolution scaling at the time: https://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry-2018-warframe-switch-tech-analysis .

Some games (like Splatoon 3) do utilize FSR 1.0, which has more generic hardware requirements and is supported across more devices. I don't think any of the console platforms currently have FSR implemented in their builds (it's experimental / new even in the PC build, which is where most testing / changes are done), but maybe as DE has more time to test and iterate on the implementation we'll see some upscaling methods on their console builds (if they're not already working on it tbh).

no. are you talking about "Switch console"???????????????????????????????????????????????????

if yes: check what DLSS technology is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I know what DLSS is… it’s just that I don’t have it on switch…? I got the old switch.
Unless you’re referring to the fact that switch can do it, but an actual PC can’t, in which case is quite sad. Sad for switch actually being better than a PC when running something that is.

Pretty sure Warframe doesn’t run DLSS. If they did, the switch would probably overheat no matter how optimized it is.

there is other information in poe forum. and warframe runs damn good and looks very well for 2023
