Tenno Honor: How Players Can Help Balance Pvp

The Tenno are meant to be honorable, even when conclaves were first added DE wanted to make it clear that they're a form of 'training grounds' and not that the Tenno are just killing each other. As far as the scope of the game's lore is concerned the Dark Sectors should be areas of political dispute and conflict but if we're to believe or care about 'Tenno Honor' then it should always be reflected in this regardless.

The idea is very simply a list of weapons and frames that the Tenno deem 'dishonorable' and are to be banned from use in Dark Sector conflicts.

At the first week of every month a 'survey' of sorts should be ran where players can decide what can't be used, perhaps even clans that own rails can have their votes more heavily weighted on the matter. And during this week rails are not to be contested or they will follow last month's list.

The list should be scaled with the number of available frames and weapons the game has at the time, say 20% of the existing frames and 30%-40% of the existing weapons are allowed to be banned in total as an example. Perhaps even adding a stipulation to all new weapons and frames that they can not be used in any conflicts until one month after their release, at which time they must pass the following 'survey' to be allowed for use.

The purpose of this as far as game play is concerned is to prevent the community from hating on players for using certain builds to 'cheat' the conflicts and to help prevent there from being only a few specific builds that work well in PvP. As well as letting players prevent any frame/weapon exploits at the time from ruining Dark Sectors before DE can patch it.

tl;dr: let players form a monthly 'list' of what frames and weapons are to be banned from Conflicts.

This is a democratic approach to solve the pvp issue, I would not recommend taking this approach as it will not be benificial for those who take the time and trouble to perfect their builds. As far as exploits go that's upto DE to fix. We can't go on blaming players for being better than us if indeed they actually deserve to be better than us!

That would be quite a lot of weapons that would be banned.

Off the top of my head, the prime candidates for banned weapons and Warframes would be:

- Valkyr

- Limbo

- Marelok

- Acrid

- Torid

- Latron Prime

- Vauban

- Quanta

- Vectis

- Opticor

- Loki

- Ash

- Zephyr (to an extent)

To name a small list.

if you want "balance" then you mind as well give everyone the same frame, weapon, and abilities. Otherwise this would be a bad idea, because it takes the joy out of it, being able to take out someone with your own build means that you are doing something right.

If you cannot take the person out, or hes/she is killing you a lot, then it is the user, not the game.

It seems the only way to make Dark Sectors entirely balanced is for everyone to have no advantage over the other.  Everyone has the same weapons, health, and shields.  Otherwise, it'll be like rock-paper-scissors when pitting different warframes and weapons against each other.

Wow...GhostUnitVII beat me to the punch, heh.

What this sort of system might create, then, are "Dark Clans" whom use the "dishonorable" weapons and frames, don't care about rail ownership, and are indirectly paid by whomever's the highest bidder or has favor.  Oh wait, that already happens.
