Steps That Led You To Warframe.

You can just follow off from what I did.

  • Join Kongregate (Due to having a crappy laptop.
  • Join chatroom Labyrinth
  • Meet a user named ColonelPigs
  • Befriend him
  • 3 weeks later, meet another user named Specter_Reborn*
  • Befriend Specter_Reborn
  • About a year has passed and get a good computer (which breaks in about 2 months)
  • Find out that ColonelPigs has a steam, same name.
  • 2 weeks pass and Colonel interest me into playing Warframe
  • I give in and start playing.

*

Specter_Reborn is relevant due to him also playing Warframe, but under a different name

So basically what I'm trying to say here is, if I've never joined Kongregate,I would have never joined Warframe and be with an awesome community (except for the people in GD, some of them want me to drop-kick them).

Have a good gaming laptop you got cheap from a friend

Have very little money to spare for steam games since you need to save money and bought that good gaming PC cheaply but still for money

Have steam account and look for games

Notice space ninja

Notice game is free

Download free game

Create warframe account

Press play

Do blinding white light level intro

Slice things in half

Notice you are hearing voices drawing you back

Decide you want to be special and help the game

The voices grow louder so you upgrade your package

The gold is good. The voices, they demand severed limbs and more gold

Upgrade founder package again

Lose yourself and join an awesome group of like minded asylum members called "clan"

Play and enjoy playing with them decapitating and severing stuff

Gaming laptop stops working

Months pass

Enough money to build a rig

Build one

The voices..... they are back

No time for life. The voices, they never stop asking for more. They demand I become a death incarnate in warframe

Help me

Help....me?

Which frame to play? How many bodies? Am I real or do I only have one warframe to equip irl?

Before everything else my relationship with someone just ended and therefore I was looking for something to fill the void left by it then by chance..

Step 1: Saw warframe in social media facebook post of a friend

Step 2: looks cool got interested went to website to download game with my then i5 laptop (RIP)

Step 3  Started update 8: Rise of the warlords chose excalibro played through what looked like an assasins creed style tutorial and created my first account was so NOOB back then that I used plat for revives decided to not buy plat cause was saving cash so instead I said i'll just keep 12 weapons I like which was the amount of slots we were given

Step 4: was rank 4 back then more weapons were added in game i said  @#$% it im gonna make a new account which is my current main account right now hence HARDCORE_DAVE came into existence

Step 5: It sucked my life MR 18 1.5K hours in game currently have 200+ weapons and all frames, warlord of my storm clan called Boundless and still playing and just waiting for DRAGON frame :D

Step 1 - August 2008 - Join Steam in order to play TF2 on a guest pass at a LAN party

Step 2 - October 2013 - Be bored and see Warframe on Steam. Tell it to download.

Step 3 - The next day - Launch Warframe, play through the tutorial, then get to the star chart and accidentally back out from Mercury. Having no idea what I was supposed to do, after clicking around randomly for 20 minutes I quit the game.

Step 4 - 10 minutes later - Get a message on Steam from one of my friends asking how I like Warframe. He had played it for about 200 hours at that point.

Step 5 - 30 seconds later - Admit that I got lost on the star chart and never really even played the game.

Step 6 - 5 minutes later - Back in game, on voice chat with my friend, having the various systems explained to me.

At that point the new player experience was awful. It gave the opening controls tutorial mission, but that was it. No form of tutorial on the totally locked star chart, modding system, or crafting system.

1. Flipping channels on twitch.

2. See some low-pop stream with an interesting thumbnail

3. Hop in, ask the streamer what game is this.

4. Learn it's called Warframe, and is in closed beta

5. Find MMOBomb key giveaway

6. Grab a key, redeem, install 600mb client (lol)

1) Start getting bored of Global Agenda's PvE after four years of entertainment

2) See a Facebook page I follow talk about Warframe

3) Do my own research, decide to give it a shot

4) Acquire Closed Beta key extremely easily via one google search

5) Consequently become reluctant to try it given the implied unpopularity

6) Try it anyway

7) Like it so much I buy a Founders pack

That's the good ending.  Continued for bad ending:

8) Completely enjoy the game for a year and a half

9) Bored of grinding layers of RNG

10) Back to searching for games

Friend brags about getting the Fang (not even joking, this was before Update 7 though)

Post Update 7, I think just a few weeks before Vauban, I install

Fall in love instantly

Vauban comes

I make first micro-transaction

I buy Trinity

My friends join me

We go nucking futs

They leave me 1 by 1 for other games

I'm now alone
