TOCK landscape/ability appearance Alternate Helmets (concept) Orokin writing (concept) presentation Description Tock is a Tenno warrior that uses time as his ally. He can control it and bend it to his own advantage. I chose to give Tock a clock themed appearance with gears, minuet hands, hour hands, and even second hands. i also based him on Tenshin's design, to make him look more ancient. Description (the Lotus) Tock. a warrior from the past, present, and future. his abilities manipulate time and space, allowing him to take the battlefield to his ultimate advantage. the enemies death is more sooner than you think, Tenno. LORE It is not clear were Tock comes from. the past, the future, the present? not even he knows. STATS health: 75 shield: 150 armor: 100 power: 225 speed: 1.25 Polarity Tock will have a "V" aura polarity and a "D" polarity ABILITIES Cease enemies around Tock will stop in place for 2/3/4/5 seconds. a total of 1/2/3/4 enemies will be effected around Tock within a 3/5/10/15 meter radius. enemies effected will also let there guard down and will take extra damage. cost: 25 energy Renege Tock uses his powers to correct his mistakes. once Tock marks an area, he can teleport back to that area at any time with his previous health and shield status. any enemy within the marked area will be knocked down once Tock returns to it. There will be a low chance for Tock to return to the marked area once he is bleeding out. Expedite Tock channels energy in a radius and manipulates the time around him. once activated, any melee damage done to a target will slow that target down, and increases Tocks overall speed and melee speed. any allay within the radius will also have increase speed and melee speed. (this will be an energy per second type of ability) Tranquility those with dark hearts are suppressed for a few moments. Tock commands time to stop within a large radius(50/100/150/200 meters) for 10/15/20/25 seconds. enemies armor and shields will be extremely weaker(25/30/50/80% armor/shield decrease), allowing Tock and his allies to strike before time starts again. enemies who enter the radius will be slowed to a stop. after time starts again, the ability will have a cool down of 5 seconds. .................................................................................................. WEAPONS! Mianaut claymore i present the first weapon concept, the Mainaut(mai-naut/minute) claymore. archwing katana!(vote for names in the comments)[NEW] this blade has no name. at first, i wanted to name it Archana or just Arch-nikana, but i felt as if the name was too simple. so if you have any idea as to what the katana should be called, please share in the comments. the [enter name here]'s blade is is made of thin, razor sharp galium glass, while the metal holding the blade it made of strong rubedo reinforced with argon mixed with morphics to perfectly shape the material around the galium blade. Orokin elite guardians used these blades in there last line of defense when protecting the last of there treasure in deep space. its nature and design depicts a growing future for there race. learn more about the archwing katana in its main thread. ................................................................................................ I had to make it limited. if all enemies were to be effected by its radius, smart players would mod Tocks' first ability to be as strong as his fourth. i'm still debating weather renege and expedite should switch positions. I may just make Renege's casting time longer, or just teleport back to the marked position with only a certain percentage of your health to be restored. it was only an expression. the reason why his forth's stats are high is because there is a cool down. I could remove the cool down and decrease its stats, but than it wouldn't be unique. what i want is an ability that is extremely useful in battle but has risks. Demarious Posted November 10, 2015 Share Posted November 10, 2015 I had a similar idea but couldn't actually work it out for how it would function. I like this so I give a +1. The biggest problem I had was that other frame's manipulate time and space, so it was tricky to build a new frame that didn't trample over the others. Kitsune_CitrusJuice Posted November 11, 2015 Share Posted November 11, 2015 I'd prefer a different approach to a time warframe, Tock seems like a LoL champion, in my eyes, I am not saying that as an insult, but he doesn't seem to fit the flow. A better suggestion might be to take a Sun Tzu approach to time, to flow like water upon the battlefield. Sand, an hourglass; both represent time, Chronos, father of the Olympian Gods, and Titan over Time. The steampunk theme is nice, though DE hasn't gone into that styling, they have the Dystopian Grineer, the Apocalyptic Infested, the 'Utopian' zombie Corrupted, and the chic and clean Tenno, not forgetting the Energy Oriented Pure Sci-Fi Nerd science porn; Corpus. It's not something for DE to come in and offer a mechanical feel to a frame when biology (Infested), chemistry(Grineer), energy (Corpus), and humanity (Tenno) are the styles available. Ability 1.: freeze: (name not final): tempo (or tock for your warframe) freezes a single target in time, this target becomes vulnerable to stealth finishers. should the ability be active upon the targets death a paradox clone of Tock will take his place. (paradox clones are important for later!) this also adds a stack to Tocks paradox Clone buff ability 2!: chrono shift: Tock target a location and zips forward in time to a point when he is already there. a paradox clone is left in his wake, and will proceed to make his way to the location, while targeting enemies with the weapon that was currently equipped. the adds a stack you rocks Paradox clone buff. Ability 3: Recall: (aka, lets try that again!): tock rewinds time up to 2/4/6/8 seconds ago and will receive an overshield equivalent to HALF the sum of his health and shields at the time the rewound to, up to a cap of 200/250/300/400. this also leaves behind a a stationary paradox clone that draws aggro, for a short time. ability 4: time storm: Tock calls upon his paradox clones and unleashes a the sands of time in a vicious sandstorm in an area surrounding him. enemies trapped inside will suffer slash damage, be slowed, and have their detection range severely reduced making players thats are 10/8/6/4 meters away undetectable. in addition, a paradox clone will be generated for each stack of the paradox clone buff consumed, up to 5/7/9/10, to assist Tock in dealing with his enemies. depending on how many paradox clones were generated, the sandstorm will become more vicious, dealing more damage, and slowing down enemies even further, and making the effective range of the sandstorm wider. augments 1: a temproal field will be generated around the target freezing enemies that come into contact with it. they then too become susceptible to stealth finishers for the remainder of the ability. will not generate paradox clone stacks. 2. : temporal royale (a play off of Tempo royal, the popular great sword stance): Tocks: Paradox cline becomes far more aggressive dealing great damage with ranged weapons and temporally displacing enemies with melee, reducing their armor. 3: chrono phantasm( also a reference.): the paradox clone decoy will generate a temporal field around itself, slowing enemies that come to close down and reducing the speed of enemy projectiles provide a short speed boost to allies. 4: entropy storm. : time storm will pulse every five seconds. enemies have a fifty percent chance to freeze per pulse while inside the sandstorm. frozen enemies are susceptible to stealth finishers. sorry about the last ability being a little inconsistent with your theme. in my design i'm going to an hourglass/ egyptian theme to start. however i do like how you handled the "Renege" ability. maybe fusing that with my real idea would be a good idea? Making the first ability not have a target limit could be balanced, I think, by just making it have an AoE of 2/3/4/5 meters. I think Renege is too strong to be a #2. TBH, I think that kind of "rewinding time" ability should be a time 'frames ult. That would give the time 'frame a very different feel to other frames, since the kit focuses around an essentially time-y ability. Even Rhino has an AoE freeze lol. Actually I was thinking that a time based warframe would be better as a trapper of sorts, ya know able to stop and deter enemies from their goal. I'm eager to know what you think about the design, and if there is anything i can do to improve it. thanks! also, i forgot to mention that there is a new weapon concept added in the heading of the thread, so just in case, i left the weapon concept on the thread and mentioned it in the heading. another reason why i'm mentioning the weapon, is because i decided on a name for the blade. for now on, the archwing katana will be called Lunae, or "crescent moon" in Latin. i think the name really fits with the curve and color of the blade.
