For me, I'm scared of things that go too well, because I know there's going to be a catch or consequence later on. For instance, I'm scared of too well-oiled bowling lanes, because I know that after a few rounds, I'm going to be complacent and start bowling badly when the lane starts getting set oil tracks from the bowling balls.
