0 rapt0rman
Because war? But no, really: The name "Warframes" comes from a 1950's Boeing (Company) WWII research project equipping WWII soldiers with exoskeletons, as mentioned by Steve Sinclair during Devstream #1.[1] Such a project did not actually exist and never saw development or research with Boeing, which never developed significant military ground equipment of any kind until 2014. It's likely that the creator was referring to a failed system referred to as Hardiman, which was developed by General Electric in the mid to late 1960s, just prior to America's involvement in the Vietnam War. 0 BiancaRoughfin
The Warframes are bio-mechanical animus created by Margulis, an Orokin scientist who tried to help save the Void touched children of the Zariman Ten Zero, a jump craft that suffered a malfunction and got lost in the void. The Warframes are controlled by the children through a process called "Transference", also developed by Margulis and it allows the children to channel their powers in a more safe way than directly from their bodies.
