When is vauban getting his much needed nerf?

 

He doesn't NEED a nerf.

 

Why are you complaining anyways? Not like this is a PvP based game.

exactly.

Vauban is good at Crowd Controll, but bad in offense like Saryn, Ember etc.

He does not need a nerf, he needs some (more) fixes (because vortex is still bugged in other aspects)

 

i mean...if you want to nerf vauban, why not nerf frosts snowglobe? saryns miasma? Embers WoF? Trinitys Energy Heal/Group heal?

there are some strogn abilitys, but most of them are situational.

Vauban is very stationary, not mobile like saryn. saryn is good at anything, tanking, AoE damage, Melee damage, range damage, Crowd Controll...

the same for frost, he can block every single shot with his snowglobe while he can take a lot of damage and shoot out of his globe.

this game is not LoL, its not PVP, its PVE, and in PVE you need only to fix stuff, not nerf something to death.

Rhinos Iron Skin was needed, because it was way to easy to turn completely invulnerable with him.

Vauban can solo all defense missions up to wave 1 million.

 

They nerfed nyx because he had too much cc. (Nyx is completely useless now.)

Rhino because he was too much of a tank.

Frost snowglobe isnt infinite cc.

 

Vauban is infinite cc.

I'm not saying Vaubon needs a nerf..

BUT just because something is a PVE game doesn't mean balance doesn't matter.

It wouldn't be wise to make one frame struggle through the whole experience while another walks through easily.

Lack of balance makes it very hard to tune encounter difficulty.

Ideally the frames would have different strengths and weaknesses but be similar in overall effectiveness.

No, Nyx was inf CC AND damage where the enemies would kill each other for you, doesn't happen with vauban.

so does that mean that i can use a vortex now when a clanmate uses it and it won't crash now? or that i can use a vortex while teslas are out and it won't crash?

there is another glitch i found before the hotfix where the double vortex caused a friend to crash in a def mission, so i got host migrated while getting pushed off the edge by vortex, and when the migration was done i was loaded to a black screen, and after a few seconds was killed for it and when i revived i was put at the initial spawn point, causing me to lose the mission since i couldn't get back in time to save the pod. hope the vortex crash fix fix's that.

Changes:

- Removed Slide Cooldown

- Updated Sound FX for reloading a Sicarus

- Added visual indicator to Ogris and Lanka when they are ready to fire

- Added Sound FX for Wyrm Sentinel’s Crowd Control ability

- Reworked some of the pit traps in the Loot Rooms found in Orokin Void levels

- Updated Visual FX on Ember’s Overheat ability

- Updated Visual FX on Trinity’s Link and Energy Vampire abilities

- Updated Visual FX on Ash’s Smoke Screen ability

- Tuned difficulty for Mastery Challenges for Ranks 4+ to be more balanced for a wider range of weapons

- Sentinels will now be revived at the end of a dueling round

- Added critical chances to weapons not being able to crit

- Changed map opacity on radar

- More stuff I didn't mention here

Fixes:

- Fixed an issue causing players to not acquire Pickups when rolling, sliding or using a power through them

- Fixed crash that could occur when using Vortex

- Fixed shields not replenishing if damaged while using Nyx's Absorb

- Fixed missing Charge-up Sound FX on various swords

- Fixed dead ends appearing in Dojo at the point where two rooms perfectly connect

- Fixed some collision and AI navigation issues in Corpus Defense missions

- Fixed an issue causing enemies to continue spawning in an Extermination mission, after the count had reached zero

- Fixed an issue with Saryn’s Poison ability, so that the globes now replicate correctly for clients

- Fixed Hornet Strike not affecting DOT from the Acrid

- Fixed an issue causing some traps in the Orokin Void levels to not take any damage from certain weapons

- Fixed an issue causing players to be left in an unresponsive, black screen state when a duel round completes

I'm also not saying that balance doesn't matter because it's a PvE game. I just said that you just shouldn't nerf something to be as useless as a Volt is.

If you want anything to compare to Vauban, buff it.

 

Now if something is game breaking, like a weapon as fast as a Grakata doing 100 damage per bullet, THEN you can nerf it.

I can't believe you haven't fixed locked chat after slide.. and locked on sprinting state, i guess there's still A LOT to do but.. let's say that the fixes.. really had major impact on our gameplay experience

If you ever can't open the chat window, try zooming in with right click or jumping. Works for me every time o__o

Some other changes I've noticed that I haven't seen on the patch notes yet.

 

New door sfx for grineer galleon.

New sfx for hull breach on corpus ships.

New dissolve sfx for target capture (No more epic scream, it seems)

More FX on WoF (better ground decal?, swirling sparks)

Heavy gunner ground attack sfx changed

New SFX for using health restore.

Updraft in the Void parkour room looks different. (less watery, more sparkly)
