we are free to hypotheses  tenno, but a thing to try is facts or info to support the case you present, makes for a stronger argument.

I'm getting really sick of DE just dancing around the topic and not even providing so much as a single bit of concrete proof that they're even working on something. I don't think the best reveal for something people have been waiting for almost a year for should be set to "a big surprise". That means you can put it on this perennial delay and people can just keep suspecting something based on your vague wording, when update after update we've already been expecting something in regards to his release and you've given us nothing on it. Its been 9 months and DE have given us the equivalent of nothing on the subject. Until they provide something concrete, I just don't give a S#&$ anymore. That's what they've reduced people to, not caring anymore.

So, "暗影圣装圣剑" translates to "Shadow Sanctuary Sword" I was wondering what sanctuary meant. And if you look at the other primes in the chinese build they're all called Sanctuary somehwere in their name (圣装) So I'm guessing it means prime, which in turn means their version is Excalibur Umbra prime. I saw some people saying that version does not exist

excalibur umbra prime is the chinese founders exclusive 

Excaliber umbra is the global builds version (just removed prime from the name)

its possible the china version will be updated also ?

Dunno mang, I just think that Umbra doesn't look great in white. Black and ivory with gold metallics, maybe?

 

Also, is definitely bulkier through the chest, thighs, and shoulders than standard Excalibur or even Prime.

Bottom Line DE screwed up they released Umbra Excalibur because they couldn't re-release Excal Prime. They said it will be available to the global build ..... China got Excal Umbra Prime. And the Chinese build of Warframe is an entirely different product.

I say we wait, I'm sure they'll pop up eventually.

yeah thats one that is also held some of the community

though i had pondered something for my comic that came into some thought as per the umbra variants

we have the presumption that the stalker /acolytes become umbras or lead us to the umbras 

but what if its the opposite 

what if umbra and shadows are seprate ?

think of it in a tier system we currently have (in terms of how frames were released lore wise)

1. Prime variant
2. mass produced model (vanilla)

 

so if we think that shadows and umbra (which translates to shadow ) 

1. Umbra variant 
2. mass made product guardian(stalker/acolytes) 

 

the only thing i cannot account for or understand personally is how the shadow variants (like stalker and acolytes) have the following

1. ability geared to directly negate warframe (vanilla/prime) powers
2. multiple warframe abilities in one variant type like how the messa acolyte used hydriod powers or stalker uses the nyx absorb 
3. exceedingly high health and armor (so much so it took the collective of tenno to take down each acolyte )

also someone n another thread brought up a good idea 

in each previouse mission lotus or another entity has thrown out easter eggs of the next warframe quest title

"just realized that in Natah, the Lotus mentioned that she hid the Tenno away in a second dream.

In the Second Dream, Lotus mentions that we fight on two fronts, the war without and the war within."

if we dig through quotes and focus on key phrases like shadow, darkness , ect and see how they are worded i wonder what we will find ?

Warframe China gets MOST content later than global if they get an exclusive frame thats fair enough

I can't believe you all are still whining about Umbra? Am I the only one who doesn't care about it at all? I like that DE is focusing on new Primes, Warframes, Cinematic Quests, Reworks and other such content. Umbra will just distract them and it's not something we need.

I honestly have not cared for Umbra and it seems like the people wanting it are just salty that there is another exclusive out there.

My only wish is that Umbras don't come out as just a Prime clone.

Considering the time taken to implement this, I would expect Umbra to bring about a completely new gameplay instead of just carbon copies of Primes with cosmetic difference and a different passive from energy gain upon touching death orbs because that will just make Umbras a complete waste of time and pure Mastery fodder.

Excalibur Prime - for founders around the world

Excalibur Umbra - for "founders" in China

I'll not be surprised if we will never see Excalibur Umbra in our game version.
