Cestra Riven Not compatible with Secura Dual Cestra

Is there any reason as to why this is?

Wild guess, but that's probably because Pistols and Dual Pistols are different weapon classes.

Same reason bolto rivens don't work on akbolto . Dual pistols are a separate weapon class Just like the guy above me said^

Nope. But cestra and dual cestra are considered as 2 different weapons.

You gonna need a dual cestra riven mod for your secura dual cestra.

Pretty much that, but it's not so much classes than just it being different weapons. While it doesnt make much sense, in Warframe the dual version of any weapon has "nothing" to do with its normal version and thus no exclusive mods are allowed to be used on both.

If it requires two of the same weapon to create the latter. It should still consider using what was created.

 

to Poster above. That's what is silly here. It's like logic was thrown out the window. You're just adding another gun of the same make to your other hand. If all the dual weaponry didnt require two of the same guns to create them then fair enough.

Probably a better analogy:

Same reason Entropy Spike cannot be used on the (Telos) Akbolto and Winds of Purity cannot be used on the Afuris and Dex Furis.

Because Dual Cestra and Cestra are different weapons (if it said "dual cestra" in the Riven, that would be different because the secura weapon is a variation). That happened to me, i got a Vasto riven, but i got is the AkVasto.
