warframe is very heavy on the CPU, a good GPU JUST for warframe can be a GTX 960 or 970. If you plan on playing a lot of games however, the GTX 1060 6GB and GTX 970 4GB (other PC) are what I own and they are both solid. I would imagine a 1050 TI being good as well.

Looks like you are set with GPU, but also check on other games you maybe interested to further future-proof your PC. The main thing would be CPU as mentioned earlier.

I myself recently got an RX 480 and have an AMD FX 6300 CPU that I can upgrade later when I can afford it.

To add to this, If you want to save more money, I suggest looking into AMD CPUs.

Sure. 1050ti is a fine graphic card.
You can verify compatibility a few different ways.
Easiest would be to figure out your motherboard model (usually listed on the makers website acer,hp,asus etc etc.) and see if it has a PCI-E port.

And to see if your power supply can adequately provide power to it.

500W power supply good?

whats the best place to learn how to replace a graphics card? im afraid ill mess up and break something

Don't worry. It's really not that hard.

You basically undo the clip on the bottom of the graphics card, undo the screws on the side of the PC, and it comes right out. Just make sure to ground yourself before you touch any computer things.

Here's a video explaining it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyDxrTHDjXQ

By the way, I think a gtx 1050ti would be enough to run warframe at max settings at 1080p with mostly solid 60 fps. You could see some drops into the high 40s in VERY heavy combat. I would think that it would still be a very enjoyable experience though

Graphics cards are very easy to replace. Just google a youtube video on it. All you do is press down a lever, unplug power connector(s) and then pop in new card.

I recently built a new mini itx system with an AMD CPU and an RX-470 4gb card by MSI. Warframe has been running really smooth and I like the savings the 470 offers. You can overclock this card too, within 11% performance of the RX-480.

Just did my research, and now im even less sure of my original decision to get the gtx 1050 ti. It seems the RX-470 is more powerful, but slightly more expensive (about 25-30 dollars more) but do i really need more power? I want a card that lets me run warframe at more then 45 fps with all low settings. Sure, a RX-470 is better then a gtx1050 ti, but do i really need that power?

maybe. I dont know \(•-•)/

So I don't live in USD areas, but just looking as Amazon and Newegg there are options for an MSI Dual fan RX480 4GB at $184.99, which has a $10 rebate on top of that if you use Newegg. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137049&cm_re=rx_480-_-14-137-049-_-Product

By comparison, a matching MSI 4GB 1050Ti with dual fans is around $144.99 for the cheapest, $134.99 after $10 rebate. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137055&cm_re=Gtx_1050ti-_-14-137-055-_-Product

Now, I can't think of any way of putting this politely, but $175 for an RX 480 vs $135 for a 1050Ti isn't a competition, even at the 4GB models. And more to the point, that's cheap for a good graphics card. If anyone wants to get into PC gaming and can't afford $175, I would seriously recommend just saving until you can.

On those same sites, the RX470 4GB is $154.99 after rebate. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137050&cm_re=Rx470-_-14-137-050-_-Product

I know I'm not the target audience but someone who is please explain to me how the 470 represents value for money?

I orginally had an RX-460 but the performance of the RX-470 is double of the 460 so that is what I bought. The GTX cards are nice but too expensive for my taste. I love my MSI RX-470 gaming extreme card. You can often find them on sale and also with rebates like I did at Newegg.com or maybe even Amazon. If you want to future-proof your gaming pc for more than a year or two I highly recommend it. Warframe looks so stunning now, almost like live tv stunning it's so smooth and you can max out your settings too. Hope this helps. Any more questions please ask 😀

Found a rx-480 for $180 with a $20 rebate. Worth it?

Yes. Totallly get it. I paid around $170.00 for mine around Thanksgiving so yes that is a great deal. The 480 is a beast card for the money. For the sub $200.00 cards it's really a great card. And you can overclock it too with MSI's afterburner software. Did I mention you can change the LED colors to any color you like? Now the GTX crowd will come at you with buy the more expensive cards but do you really want to spend so much more when the future changes so rapidly in computer tech? Do you have an AMD processor? If so you will be very happy with performance. There are tons of YouTube videos out there showing the value the card brings to the table. Plus you'll have my envy.....😛

Here are some pics of my mini itx Warframe build. Hopefully they show up okay. I don't put too many in forums. https://imgur.com/a/sel5s
