Chance of the contracting the helminth virus

I was wondering, when a player has the cyst and touches another player, what is the chance of that player contracting the virus? And also, does the cyst need to be fully grown before you can infect others?

As far as I can tell, 100%, and I'm not sure about the maturity thing. I think it needs to be fully grown.

I'm not really sure how you even contract it. Somehow, my Equinox, Excalibur, and Wukong were infected, despite the fact I have only played in Solo mode when using these Warframes as of late. Abruptly, the cysts appeared after making runs to collect a nitain extract, and collect some Kuva, even though I was definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, playing solo.

You most likely got it from someone in your clan's dojo.

You will get the H-Virus if you are within touching distance of an infected player within missions or trades. The Relay seems to be safe, but Maroo's Bazaar, Dojo, and missions (PVP and PVE) are a no-no if you are trying to avoid infection. I am not sure if all the early bugs like operator infections spreading and such are fixed on consoles at this time, so that would be something. As an aside, some found that their infected warframes infected their archwings as well, so that might be something to consider as well - though the the Dev team has been made aware so it could be fixed or soon be.

Other than having the pink boil on an infected warframe's neck, are there any other side effects (negative or positive) to the warframe or gameplay?

If not, I won't bother curing or draining it, since I don't mind the 'infected' look. :)

Nope, don't have a 'clan', it's just me in my own dojo.

Most likely, it seems you get the helminth cyst from just being on the same node as a player who is infected, not even requiring the players to be in the same session.
