Thanks for the live stream, as always very informative.

 

That said unlike most of the streams this one leaves me more concerned for the path of the game than reassured.  Seems like the good parts of the game are getting thrown out for scoring systems, that at the end of the day amount to little.  I personaly thought the point of co-op was to work togeather not against each other.

 

 

New mission types sound fantastic! I'm really glad to see you guys trying new things! Please do not listen to people that would rather have you guys just stagnate and do nothing new!

People arent saying they dont want new stuff, they are saying dont remove raids becuse they like them.

 

Given the game has 30 infinite defence missions and 37 sabotage missions these can easilly be pared down to allow for the new missions without removing the old ones and no one would miss the loss of a handful of those missions anyway because there are more than we need.

 

I also doubt anyone would complain if they added more nodes to the planets to handle the new mission types either.

Um, Raid is nearly identical to capture, so try doing that instead. It even gives you a mod at the end.

Survival is gonna be waaay better than raids where.

 

I DON'T WANNA LOSE MY RAID KEYS!

I love void raids because thats basically the most common and easiest key to obtain and to search the void with, the extermination keys don't have as much rooms as raids do and the extermination keys don't have the new void tilesets. why not remove rescue and keep raid

I'm perfectly fine with removing Raid, it IS nearly the same as Capture (which I personally like more that Raid (and you have a capture-mission on mercury, so there's still an easy way to get Ferrite)).

Changing Spy and Deception into something new sounds perfect (i hate carrying these bags), I even like rescue more than spy :D

Survival is something I really really look forward to :)

 

And you don't loose Raid-Keys, you get Survival-Keys for that, and that extermination-Keys don't have the new title-sets is a lie...

+1 on keeping raid. I typically do raid missions for leveling up and farming but could use a revamp. Maybe instead of just activating a console to open the artifact container you would have to hack three codes, each one being harder than the previous and the difficulty of hacking would go up based on the level planet you are on.

 

I think sabotage could use another type as well. How about adding a third type where you have to plant explosives in designated areas and when the final explosive is planted a timer is set for you to get to extraction before detonation. Would be nice that when you get to extraction you start hearing the charges go off.

It was definitely an entertaining livestream to watch, plenty of good information about what goes in to the sound creation process and also some teasers about what is upcoming on the content development side of things. Plus the usual (or perhaps more than the usual this time around) amount of humour/sillyness makes it fun to watch.

Great livestream! Thanks for asking my question Rebecca, the sound team have now satisfied my audio geek curiosity....currently looking the Dynaudio BM6A's among my options for nearfield monitors to replace my departed Audioengine A5's (too colored for my tastes), along with KRK and M-Audio's.

 

Quite cool how George and the others explained layering different sounds for almost everything, gives me some insights as I'm starting to try my hand in the production field for music/recorded material by bands.

 

Sheldon and Steve crashing the end of the stream didn't disappoint, return of the pink shorts, lots of tomfoolery! Although those thighs cannot unsee lol. Losing raid missions isn't really a biggie to me, because capture is very similar to it, and I'm quite excited about that survival mode.

Please don't remove Raid!  I as a mainly solo player (because my clanmates only long in late at night), I run Raid a lot to farm resources/xp (it's my 'go to' mission if there's no Exterminates on a planet).

 

And turning Deception, a mission type that's low on my 'like' list to begin with, into another annoying/stupid/suicidal/paper-thin-AI Escort mission does not make me happy (Rescue is at the bottom of my 'like' list)!

I like raid, it makes the most sense... they're lower on the "doing" thing because they don't reward as many mats as defense, and they're harder to solo than extermination.

 

Also, it's the best segue mission--- "oh look, there's an orokin tech here for us to recover". At least keep it for secondary missions.

I was surprised when Raid came out to be the least popular game mode. I honestly despise having to do Spy (Best mission ever: Spy... and then Spy again on a solo run) unless I'm with a group. I am glad to hear Spy and Deception are getting a rework however.

You might want to listen and read slightly more carefully next time, you're not going to lose your keys. Instead they'll ninjaswitch them to the new ones.

I READ AND UNDERSTAND, you misunderstood me as to what i meant.

I said i don't wanna lose my raid keys because raid is the most common and viable void type for searching through void which i love to do and i don't want it turned into a survival-esque type because its $&*&*#(%& if that would happen in void because that doesn't make sense, why would you enter a void tower to just survive getting out of the void tower?

I personally like all the mission types.  My least favorite would likely be exterminate because you run out of things to shoot, and those levels are more linear than most and no reason at all to go off the path, just go to the next thing and kill it.

 

I like raid, it mixes things up a bit.  Personally, raid should not allow one person to carry all the intel to the end, forcing everyone to stay together as a group, but still allowing the mission to be done solo.   You know, perhaps something like the final fantasy on the gamecube, one person had to carry an object and everyone else had to be within a certain range of that object.  I know it was done for memory reasons on the gamecube, but it sounds like something that could be interesting with the dynamic gameplay; being forced to make a stand at a location or running to a spot where you can make a stand.  Though, I can see rushers staying together and others dying in their wake or being annoyed with such a change like this.

 

The only type I would really change would be destroying the mining equipment... I always do the things in the wrong order and end up doing way too much backtracking.

It was a funny livestream and also very intresting to see how DE´s sound team works but i got a question.

 

Will boosters work with the double affinty weeked? Not sure if this was asked in the livestream.

 

In the livestream Sheldon did say affinty boosters will be stackable with the double affinty they are giving this weekend. He said "it will be quadrupled with a affinty booster." So i say get the affinty booster to get a quadrupled amount of affinty need to get more frames to lvl up :P
