Focus school completion

Hmm... how about when an Operator has all nodes maxed, active and unlocked the Waybounds, they get energy-colour overlays like Valkyr or the Channelling glow if they're at full power (as in haven't spent energy on Abilities) as if it's bleeding off them?

And how about they get more for the more Schools they've unlocked? Or different parts for different schools? Madurai makes the arms glow, Narmon the legs, Zenurik the head, Unairu the back and Vazarin the chest?

So if you have all schools maxed, all waybounds active (I'm fairly sure you'd need around 170 Capacity to do that depending on your main School), and jump out of your Warframe with full energy, your Operator has a full suit of energy glowing off their skin that dims and glows with how much energy they have.

Hell, why not build it up? Every time you max a node, or unbind a Waybound, it adds the different parts of the pattern? So a person who's read up on it could tell at a glance that a player has Vazarin, with both Waybounds, Mending Soul, Protective Dash and Void Regen and Aegis maxed, but hasn't unlocked Sonic Dash, Guardian Shell or Blast and hasn't bothered with the whole of Mending Unity.

Just a visual thing, but a real way to tell that your ally is able to have instant revives or can mark enemies for Finishers, whether they're able to give you 5 energy per second regen, or whether they can cloak everyone, instead of currently only being able to tell if they have fashion sense and a good Amp.

IMO instead of constant visual effects (wouldn't want them on my Operator) there should be gameplay advantage.

Why not reinvigorate Transcendence (hold 5 by default)? After you finish a school you unlock the "ultimate" activated by holding 5. The effect is different for each school: insane damage/HP/armor/energy/speed buff for a short amount of time. These "ultimates" could also have way-bound mechanics. For example, if you completed Madurai and Zenurik, you get both buffs upon activating the ability regardless of which one of these schools is active. If you complete all the schools, you get all the buffs at once.

Nah, too powerful, especially as some of the buffs are mission-long and you'd have access to all of them from the very start.

We're just talking about something to show progression visually, not trying to circumvent the balance of actually having to equip Zen to get the energy or Naramon to get the Affinity booster. There still has to be the reason to choose which you want to take for the mission.

I'm not talking about every buff you can get from the schools. I'm talking about the buffs that using the ultimate gives you. For a short amount of time you get damage boost + health boost + armor boost + energy boost + speed boost (if you completed all the schools). Basically, overdrive.

This would bring Operators closer to their lore description and won't be too overpowered because you won't be able to use it all the time.

The Operator's Lore description is of frail children that have no control over their powers and had to be put into an induced coma before they burned themselves alive. The Warframes were invented in order to be prosthetic bodies for them, since the machine and infested hybrid bodies were the only thing that could take the strain.

The 'void demons' thing was an insult, not respect, and Void energy in the kind of doses that the Operators dish out by default is only dangerous on the scale of a regular gun, unless it's to the Sentients (who were deliberately built to have a weakness to the Void by the Orokin) or unless it's focused through a lense like the Amps or used to power a Warframe.

That's why the Focus abilities all revolve around what you can do with that small amount of power that a human couldn't, like generating areas of shielding or passing your physical being into a Void space,

But we're getting off topic.

As I said, the point of the thread wasn't to buff the Operator's power, it was to give some visual sign that the player had actually put the work in, unlocked the whole School they were using, had maxed it out.

What would you suggest, if you're not in support of something like an energy aura? Maybe some kind of Syandana that appears? Maybe as an equip-able cosmetic for the Operator so that players aren't forced to have one if their fashion-sense doesn't like it? Maybe like those shoulder icons like somebody else in the thread suggested?

What do you think?
