Farming Kavat genetic codes with Helicor broken?

I have heard and experienced it working, but recently it seems broken. No matter how many runs and feral kavats scanned with Helicor, not a single genetic code.. or im i just out of luck?

So it should still work with Helicor? Because then i got pretty terrible luck. 😞 10 runs, and 3-6 scans /mission, not a single code.

Terrible luck :(

Even if Heliocor scans a kavat , its not guaranteed to get codes. 15% chance is applied to all scans including Helios and Heliocor's.

I just spent some Kavat hunting time, and am also just now leveling my Helicor - funny thing is the Helicor used to be scanning like every 5th enemy, but my last 3-4 runs with it, 0 scans total.  Seems broke to me, was discussing it this morning...

Best bet scanning kavats is do it from a distance as much as possible - I spent a lot of time soloing and averaged 4-8 kavats for 0-2 scans per run.
