  1. Did you see the Dev Shorts today on twitch? While it's not much, Steve dropped there have been talks about some kind of improvement for semi-autos that people have been asking about for a long time. Could perhaps it be the first inklings of an auto mode?
  2. I'm going to be that person for just a moment please forgive me: Baaaaack in my day it could take months, it's so much easier now I don't know why you are complaining! *cough* okay now with that out of my system, have you tried trading your duplicates with other players for the bits you are missing? when you are having bad luck with the farm that can really help.
  3. the staticor and the epitaph both need to have their charge shot moved to alt fire, I love these weapons but the forced semi-auto due to the charge mechanic is a huge pain. I also struggle with holding the button a couple milliseconds too long and accidentally starting to charge shots all the time. I just love that the staticor is basically energy throwing knives.
  4. That isn't exactly clear, you don't have screen taps turned on so I can't even tell what you're pressing. I'm going to assume you're pressing whatever the heavy attack button is while it's in flight and it's not doing anything. I had hoped that heavy attack might be a workaround for you guys so you weren't stuck but I guess no such luck.
  5. the way to discharge or explode a glaive on other platforms is to press the heavy attack button while it is in flight. Can you give that a try?
  6. the trees are part of the biomechanical "wiring" of the towers. You can see this both from the original dojo tileset and the operator's room on the orbiter. The trees in the derelict are either overgrown and old or partially infested at this point. I will agree that we have had very little fleshed out about those tilesets lore and I would personally like to see more: Is the neural sentry related to the veils? Is the neural sentry related to the Unum? Is the tower itself potentially sentient, or is it all the neural sentry? Are the "trees" more than just power or data conduits? How does the neural sentry control the infested units? why doesn't the neural sentry work on the derelicts? What the heck does the Janus key have to do with the void towers Is being corrupted by the void a separate process from whatever the neural sentry does? Since all ancient types share the long arm are every ancient variant an orokin or were other humans with long arms?
  7. I honestly don't use air support charges because I can't be bothered to build them.
  8. These are my unused frames with some delineation: Line: frames I don't have. X: frames I won't use. O: frames I don't have a reason to use.
  9. which if you couple with the older lore for the prisma line of skins, which the mara detron is a precurser to, that it's prisma effect is from overexposure to the void and take a look at the tenno who suffer from overexposure to the void.... mara would be a fitting term for the tenno.
  10. I know you didn't, but one of the main reasons the default polarities on weapons are much less of a problem are because there are additional neutral slots, they aren't all pre-assigned a polarity, and also that you can move them to adjust for your build. Sometimes you are still going to need to change them, but that's very different than a single slot with a pre-assigned polarity that cannot be moved to another slot. The ability to move polarities in a build was a massive QOL change and it removed exactly this complaint about pre-assigned polarities on weapons because after one forma you didn't have to spend anymore to just move them to get your elements right.
  11. you can move the default polarities once you have added a single forma to the weapon. You can never move the exilus polarity. I would be completely happy if the only thing changed was the ability to move the exilus polarity like it was a normal polarity after one forma.
  12. I don't feel the resources are fair, and the extra cost should not be a separate "hidden" cost. If you put a forma into a slot you get a polarity, you don't need to get another item to pick vazerin. If you put a potato in you get extra mod points, you don't need to use another item to get the last 10 points. If you use a focus lens you don't need another item to spend the focus you gain. If you buy a slot you don't need another item to reuse it later. A single item you can pay for unlocks a feature and you can use it. Weapon exilus (and maybe 1 or 2 warframe exilus if I recall correctly) have you get your unlock item then be unable to use it because the polarity doesn't match what you need/want to use and it increases the mod cost beyond capacity. There are also many occasions where the chosen polarity for a weapons exilus makes almost no sense, take the tenet cycron, which comes with a naramon exilus polarity, for example: Niche options or activity specific: Naramon Hawk eye. suppress. Madurai energising shot. spry sights. Useless options Naramon Air recon: cycron already has low zoom. Eject Magazine: cycron already reloads while holstered. (Primed) Pistol ammo mutation: it's a battery gun. Reflex draw: cycron has no spread and pretty much no recoil. Steady hands: pretty much no recoil. Trick mag: it's a battery gun. Madurai strafing slide: no spread and pretty much no recoil. targeting sub system: it's hit scan. Always useful options Madurai Lethal momentum: lets your beam go further. Cycron has never made sense to have a Naramon polarity, if it had no polarity it would have 5 good/ situational options to pick between before spending the extra forma to specialise. In that situation I wouldn't mind spending the forma to slot a higher level mod in there. But when they, for all appearances, chose the worst polarity option for the weapon (if it was Madurai it would have had 3 useful/situational options, with Naramon it has 2 situational options) the extra cost does not feel fair it feels like being taken advantage of. I wouldn't have even started complaining about this if the polarity hadn't been a problem in 80% of the weapons I've added weapon exilus to. It's frustrating and it feels bad to unlock something then have to immediately pay or grind another item to even use a feature you just payed/ground to unlock.
  13. it is a waste because if there was no polarity in the slot to start with it would actually be better for most players and we wouldn't have to spend to 2 forma for one usable exilus slot. Or to put it in clearer terms: It's bloody stupid and a rip off you need to buy 2 items to make use of one slot. The item to unlock it and the item to actually fit something in it if the polarity is wrong. This is one of the few, well, I don't think it deserves the term abusive so I'll go with player-hostile emergent behaviours still lurking in the game and results from two disconnected decisions years apart colliding into a lovely little pile of inferior frustrations (I'm not sure if there is an actual name for the opposite of quality of life).
  14. Once again I have unlocked a weapon exilus slot with an exilus adapter I have built which consumes a forma. Once again it is not the right polarity for my build and I have to waste another forma to make it usable. If we can't convince you guys that we should be allowed to pick the polarity on unlock can we at least remove the restriction for swapping exilus polarities onto the main slots? In most cases I could at least USE exilus polarity somewhere else on the build making it less likely to need to use 2 forma for every weapon exilus I build. Exilus adapters need forma to build, it's so frustrating to unlock the exilus slot and end up with a "dead" polarity for your build that can't be used and acts as nothing more than a forma tax.
  15. and here I thought you might mention the nausea inducing recoil a lot of them possess. There's still no archgun recoil reduction mod and the horrendous shakey screen recoil they use has no ability to be mitigated like with normal guns.
