Not if you are running relics with no forma. I run the fissure fast and do not need to wait for others.

With survival the same applies because I can stay where the spawn is and get reactant 100% of the time during each five minute section.

Of course there are folks in my clan and alliance I run with for these and the occasional player I see in recruit chat.

Efficiency gets thrown out the window when you add other people into the mix unless it is players you know who follow the same pace and playstyle as you.

Solo, with a no-forma relic, your expected ducat return is 23.3.

In a party where everyone else is using relics with both common and uncommon forma (worst-case scenario), the expected ducat return is 34.3.

And that's before you introduce the chance that your squadmates may be running refined relics.

Ermm... I might not understand what you mean.... because every relic has 1 rare, 2 uncommon and 3 common.... so every relic is equal in ducat value.

Relics that include forma have a lower expected ducat value, the value also changes depending on the forma being in a common or uncommon position.

As well as 25 and 65 ducat value items further complicating the value.

  2. My personal opinion...

Botting, i.e. automation to the point where you can literally go AFK and your script continues playing the game for you, should be banned without mercy.

Assist-macros, i.e. pressing one button/key to slide attack, completely fine.

The grey area for me includes things like macros that turn semi-auto weapons into full-auto, which seem to subvert the design of that weapon.

You could just say "What about Archwing is so terrible that you think it should be removed?" instead of being disparaging.

While we may be on the internet where apparently anything goes, acting with some decorum can help prevent drama and saltiness.

It's not on responding posters to help raise the quality of an OP to a minimal acceptable level.

If someone's going to create a new thread, at least they should put in some effort.

If they just want to whine, there are plenty of already existing threads they can put their pointless comment in.

Edit: Why does this thread have 'SPOILERS' and 'PC' tags? Neither apply here.

What a forum... Instead of upvoting actual feedbacks and suggestions they upvote spam and salty "jokes"

Upvotes are meaningless, being 'popular' in your comments has no correlation with being logical or correct.

Honestly, most forums would have a higher signal/noise ratio if up/down-votes didn't exist.

The myth of leeching gets you more XP has always been that a myth. The person doing the killing gets 100% of the XP (to the weapon/frame that got the kill) while everyone else gets 50% of the XP split between All their equipped gear.

    That's not true.

For any kill except those from your sentinel/kubrow/kavat, you get 100% of the affinity; what changes is how that affinity is split between your equipment.

    • If you kill with a frame power, your frame gets 100% of the affinity;
    • If you kill with a weapon, your frame gets 50% of the affinity and the weapon used for the kill gets 50% of the affinity;
    • If another member of your squad, their companion, or other allies (syndicate operatives, etc.) get a kill, your frame gets 25% of the affinity and your weapons get 75% of the affinity split between all equipped weapons (depends on how many weapons you have equipped).

Now @Knight_Ex didn't mention if they had any other weapons equipped (primary/secondary), but based on the results I'll assume they had all three weapons.

Kills with the Telos Boltace would give 50% affinity to that weapon, while giving 25% affinity to all squadmates melee weapons; so based on the fact that the Telos Boltace ranked fastest, it's safe to assume it was getting most of the kills.

Of course you could have just looked at the mission results, which would have been much simpler. :clem:

Still doesn't put clear boundaries, which I am sure is what the OP is after..

As I said in the post, you're very unlikely to get that.

Attempting to clearly define boundaries just leads to rules-lawyering and players trying to push those boundaries, most companies define principles in general terms and leave the interpretation to a case-by-case basis.

  7. Serration, Heavy Caliber and Split Chamber are standard on every build. The accuracy loss from Heavy Caliber actually helps the Ignis in its primary function of AoE clearing / CC.

I'll usually use all four dual-stat elemental mods, but you can swap in Primed Cryo Rounds for more damage, or a Primed Bane if cold doesn't fit the damage profile you're after.

The final slot gives you a lot of flexibility:

    • Sinister Reach - for more range
    • Firestorm - for broader spread
    • Combustion Beam - for huge damage on low to mid level enemies
    • Vile Acceleration - for more damage and status procs, if you can maintain ammo supply

As to which mod to drop for a riven, it obviously depends on the stats on the riven mod.

I'd probably drop an elemental mod or the utility mod, but if you get a lot of +damage on the riven then you could consider dropping Serration (rather than Heavy Caliber) if you're going for a build that uses Vile Acceleration.

Now however, a limited group can purchase blueprints wholesale for credits and trade them.   Its not that they are trade-able that I really have an issue with.   Its that a group has access to a virtually unlimited supply of what was previously a very limited product.     An  unlimited supply that costs them virtually nothing.    And yes, I am aware that the prices will drop.    However, the initial feeding frenzy, no different than when a new prime comes out before players learn better about the availability of new items.

    What feeding frenzy?

Any current player who wanted an Ignis Wraith had the chance to get one easily during the event. There is no mass of hungry customers waiting outside dojo doors for the sales to begin.

All clans who made it past Participation Tier received a BP for each member, so this is how people are trading it already.

I realise that. I was challenging the statement that "all forms of the BP are tradeable" when no one has a dojo-produced BP yet to test.

Including a BP bought from clan research?

That seems a very odd decision on DE's part, they'll be selling for 1 plat soon then.

When I said all forms of the BP, I meant all forms of the BP.

Clan research can't be rushed with plat, so no clan can replicate BPs yet.

You may have said "all forms of the BP", but at this point in time you're clearly just making that up.

We'll all know in a couple of days time.

There are people out there running MK1-Bratons in "endgame" content

While that's true, it doesn't change the fact that some weapons are objectively better than others.

Not a problem if you intend to build and keep every weapon in the game, but for players on a 'budget' who only want to keep a limited selection of weapons, a Soma Prime will always beat out a Mk1-Braton.

  12. This thread is turning into the perfect example of why there should never be any tangible reward for coming first, second, third, etc. in a clan competition, top 10% is fine as that casts the net wide enough to allow for all reasonably competitive clans.

I can only imagine the drama that would hit the forums and the game generally if coming first had any significant reward beyond internet bragging rights.

I will say that Redirection and Vitality are noob trap mods. Very few frames can make good use of them. If you're using them I suggest you remove them. Especially on Ember. There are much better ways to utilize two mod slots on Ember.

What I always tell people when they say they need Redirection and Vitality is to go with Quick Thinking and Rage instead.

I'll agree that Redirection is a mod you won't use much (if at all) when you get more experienced, but it does serve as an extra buffer for newer players as they learn to play.

Vitality on the other hand is a very solid mod, and in no way a 'noob trap'.

Quick Thinking and Rage often also need to be used with (Primed) Flow, so that's three mods where one (Vitality) will many times be perfectly sufficient.

Quick Thinking also gives you the opportunity to be staggered to death, and is vulnerable to energy leech and parasitic eximus mobs.

Not that QT is bad, but the choice between a QT or Vitality build is situational.
