Yes. Common sense, neckpains, hitting walls, clumsy controls due to drifting, axis and lack of direction, no map adjustment....

    So that's a no then.

You just pulled the 99.9% figure out of your <censored>, not that anyone will be surprised by that revelation.

Where do you draw the line for 'cosmetic'? The strun wraith is the perfect example of a weapon that has been out for exclusively early players. It offers a cosmetic difference and also improved stats. While it is a huge improvement over the regular strun there are arguably better shotguns out there (vaykor hek boar prime).

The Strun Wraith is not cosmetic, as it has a clear stat difference to the regular Strun and offers additional mastery for ranking it up.

In general I have no problem with the time-limited exclusivity of event weapons and mods as DE later re-introduce them into the game through other means, so all players have the prospect of being able to acquire them at some point.

True cosmetic rewards are things like ranks for your Stratos emblem, exclusive sigils, event trophies.

To build on a suggestion made in the OP, a suitable reward for an extremely challenging set of in-game tasks could be unlocking a unique skin for the warframe you used to complete the challenge (though not a power increase as the OP suggested).

This would give vets challenging, potentially long-term goals to play for, and a method of showing off their achievement, without widening the power gap between vets and newer players.

It would be an investment from DE in creating these rewards that they couldn't recoup by selling them directly (as being able to simply purchase the skin would diminish what it stood for), so they'd have to feel that the increased player retention that it could offer would be worth it.

Why be upset that your Ferrari is blowing away all the lawnmowers your racing against?

No one is upset by that, they just want other Ferraris to race against as well.

Still a bad ideia, get 2 mods and stop crying for change.

I already have enough Streamline mods that I could keep one at each possible rank and still have spares, that's not the point.

Also not crying, stop being so childish.

It's about quality of life changes, not making the game easier.

The record of concurrent players on Warframe though steam alone was 68k+ on Nov 11th 2016, and 1.2 million hours were played in-game on that day alone. Hardly seems like the game is dying if we are setting new records of players online.

Shh! You're not supposed to mention facts that contradict the narrative people are trying to spin.

    Two Bad ideas...

    You guys want everything easy...

its a game, we need more challenges, stop asking or sugesting everything in your hands...

You have no idea what you're talking about if you think I want everything easy.

Please stop making wild assumptions and making yourself look ridiculous.

Again though, I can't help but reiterate how much I feel like someone saying "this is too easy" while using a min-max mindset is missing the fact that they could easily make the game harder on themselves without a single thing in the game being added or change.

Because they min/max to make themselves as powerful as possible, and then want a challenge worthy of that power.

Why buy a Ferrari and limit yourself to only driving in first gear?

Eh if they do 12 hours for 2 then even IF it takes 20 days to gt all them for Vauban. it might be faster.

I haven't done the maths to compare the rate of introduction of new nitain requirements vs the rate players can acquire them from the alerts, but players shouldn't be required to login every day in order to keep up with building requirements (and even catch up, for newer players).

    12 hours.

12 hours would restrict most people to one alert per day, which I feel is a bit low.

In that scenario I'd like to see 3 or 4 of such 12 hour alerts per day.

  10. A simple solution that would keep the time-lock in place but make Nitain more fairly available to all regardless of playtime would be to reduce the number of alerts to two per day, but have them last 24 hours.

96 pages!  Ash still borked!  News at 11!

    Beginners...

The first Hema 'megathread' reached 178 pages before being closed, the current one is again up to 86 pages, and neither of those actually had a genuine 'MEGATHREAD' tag.

  12. It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how much it would actually change things.

By the time you're investing forma into a weapon and have maxed mods, the limiting factor isn't generally the number of mod slots but the total cost in mod points.

I can see it being useful once you get to the extremes of having 6-7+ forma on an item, and having a more flexible way to apply the forma's drain reduction than tying it to a particular slot would be nice.

One part of the suggestion I do like is the ability to tune down mods to a lower drain, so I don't need to have both a rank 4 and rank 5 Streamline, for example, and I could just dial back a maxed Streamline to rank 4 for that particular build if that's what I needed.

That's just lag, it usually happens whenever you are not host. Host a mission and it should work perfectly fine

    it happens in Solo too.

I've found it particularly noticeable in Rathuum matches, even solo.

You do realize that only a fraction of registered users actually play right? There is a reason for that.

Yes, Warframe is a four year old free to play game, there will be many people who have registered at some point in time who no longer play.

Let's look at the percentage of registered users who have played in the last two weeks for some F2P games on Steam around Warframe's size...

    • Team Fortress 2: 4.52%
    • Warframe: 4.11%
    • Unturned: 3.56%

    Nothing particularly concerning there.

    @ TrollmeisterXD,  @ ChuckMaverick

We do have Vicewarlords team here... I see from your profiles you are both in Ghost clan. I appreciate your opinions, but until you dont put yourself in my shoes, you wont fully understand what Im taking about.

I'm the warlord of a small clan in Warframe, but I have run large guilds in several other games (for some reason I always seem to find myself running whatever guild/clan I join or start in most games), so I understand that position completely.

Edit: Including running a Heroic raiding guild in WoW, which involves way more coordination than any current Warframe clan activity.

It's the 'single aim glide'. Which implies bullet jump to get as much air-time as possible (since being glued to a wall doesn't count) if you use anything but a Zephyr (even with Vauban's bounce, you want as much air-time as possible). Also, in my case, the number wasn't 3. The first was 5, the second was 7. Took some doing, but I did manage to get it (in Earth, if anyone's curious, the Kubrows' eyes shine through Syandana and Warframe textures, so you can put a Bastille to immobilize and rain justice from above like a badass).

The list I detailed above is taken directly from the current riven challenge files, though looking back through previous versions does show higher numbers have been required in the past, so it looks like your wish has already been granted, at least partially.

Also, the 'best' way to complete that challenge is not to bullet jump, but to float in vents on Corpus tilesets which gives you as much time as you need to complete the challenge.
