The way i see it the 3 mods idea is still on the table within DE. Just maybe as range extenders not actual range.

First get us used to the new range, then once things calm down bring in range extender mods for specific resources.

Good thing or bad thing? I'm not sure.

I'm not an exclusive carrier user, but i do use it a lot. I must admit that personally I'm not happy with the current proposal.

Yeah, I said something similar in another post, the passive 5M on all Sents, and then have the 3 mods to extend to 10M for specific drops. I'd be fine with that.

I would have thought that if you are in melee you would be within range of the majority of drops as you are in the middle of all the things that are dying.  I was curious what melee weapon you were planning on using because unless it is one with exceptional reach I'd expect your targets to be in range of Vacuum without requiring much more movement than normal if at all.

With Channeling they often float off, and Despoil is not instant, much of the time you'll combo forward and not pick up a lot of the drops even with 10M.

Don't get me wrong, you still pick up like 80% but getting into higher end mobs those extra drops are crucial.

What melee weapon are you using that has you worrying about being more than 5m from the loot drops?

I don't quite see how that matters.

The point of the build in question is to pick up all HP and Energy orbs to maximise HP and Energy collection via Equilibrium, having to stop and run over to a drop, stops the use of energy via channelling etc, I can see it just shutting down the entire system I'm trying to refine in this specific build.

With the addition of Vacuum being added passively to all sentinels, it may be a good idea to add a mod that expands the range of Vacuum, possibly even universal to the other companions as well. It would solve the problems presented with the range nerf, but also satisfies the users of Kubrows and Kavats (though that may cause the Chesa Kubrow to require some changes). However, this solution does not solve the issue with companions dying causing Vacuum to stop working, but it is a compromise worth considering.

    I defiantly want this.

As the reduced range is a problem for my Nekros build; I use an equilibrium-Despoil/Channeling melee build and picking up those drops are crucial to saying alive and keeping my energy up. This 5M radius translates to a direct reduction in survivability for that build in melee...

Originally I was fine with the vacuum split as I could just put on the HP/Energy Vac Mod...

  5. I'm actually not happy about this carrier change, My fav Frame ATM is an equilibrium-Channeling/Despoil build on my Nekros that I've been working on refining since Nek P. release, I was happy with only being able to pick up Health and Energy and use any Sent, but a reduced range is a flopping irritation because in the heat of battle I need to be constantly picking up those drops happening around me, I REALLY hope there is a mod to increase it to 10m (or more)...

Or someone doesn't understand the random part...

Let me tell you my story about the brakk.

For almost 2 years, I didn't have the brakk.  The receiver would never drop.

Then the receiver dropped during Retribution mission.

The next time the G3 attacked, no receiver.

    The next time, receiver dropped.

    The next time, receiver dropped.

    The next time, receiver dropped..

    The next time, no receiver.

    The next time, receiver dropped.

Got that?  For almost 2 years the receiver never dropped, then it dropped four out of the next six times with three in a row.

    Random is random.

On the kavats, I got 4 scans on the fourth or fifth mission which put me at 8.  Took me three or four more to get 2 on the last one I did.

I'll tell you my 75% discount story.  I went almost two years before I got the 75% discount.  Bought it immediately.

I've gotten five in the past four months.

    Random is Random.

    Sure mate.

The first idea is debatable : the difficulty to scan is intended, it's not an "easy improvement" that everybody would agree about (I'm trying to stick to this rule, even with my opinions).

The second idea makes sense, though enemies don't stay on the floor for the same time depending on how they died. Should it be corrected ? (that would affect Nekros' desecrate obviously)

What bug exactly ? Seems you don't want to talk about it either. :p

I made a thread on cross platform play, but apparently it probably wont happen so i have a solution that can fix it. Let PC players play on xbox one and ps4 servers, it doesn't have to be completely cross platform. The devs can allow this by letting pc players run an older version of warframe and connecting to console servers that way we can play with friends on different platforms. Microsoft allows party chat with windows 10 and xbox one, microsoft is slowly taking steps for cross platform gaming and sony should try it too, but i don't think its going ti happen with ps4

As ppl have said, go inform Sony and Microsoft, it's their policies that stop cross platform, it always has been and it always will be.

-Well that depends on your definition of "difficulty". For me, difficulty is Nightwatch corps: They can kick your arse without needing lvl inflation, they just make good use of cover, have better accuracy and their units work together. Facing a lvl1 Bombard is mechanically the same as facing a lvl100 Bombard, except the lvl100 will oneshot you, that's not difficulty. IF Endless modes increased in difficulty, you would begin the mission facing normal Lancers and by the 40min mark you will face the Nightwatch Corps and 3-4 Manics, by the 60min mark the units would be lvl70ish and gain CC inmunity for Sleep, Blind and all other "hard" CCs and 3s inmunity to staggers and knockdowns after being staggered or knocked down. By the 80min mark Eximus Nightwatch would dominate the battlefield, all retaining their CC inmunity/resistance of previous waves.

-Yeah, I absolutely agree in increasing rewards, however I think  Rot A should stay RotA and Rot C stay RotC, just with increased rewards in quantity. The system I proposed is kinda simple to grasp (you stay longer, rewards are the same but double or triple over time) and already pays off: By doing a 60min run you get the equivalent of 6 RotCs, while doing 3 separate 20min run will net you only 3 RotCs worth of rewards.

I was speaking of difficulty as an increasing variable within a level... You're talking about it as relative concept attributed to, or experienced by individuals.

  12. I'd really like to see rewards for long runs, I'm honestly sick of ppl who want to do 2 waves of something just to get the cred and two A rewards, then leave and repeate...

I'm of the opinion that waves should scale rewards with difficulty,

    eg;

    1st 4 waves: AABC

    2nd 4 waves ABBC

    3rd 4 waves ABCC

    4th 4 waves BBCC

    etc etc...

Something like that, wehere staying longer and longer gives greater rewards... M,ay be even scaling the critic bonus for every 4 waves... I just really hate speed runs TBH...

Yeah and the generalization in this context is an ad hominem. They're bringing up an irrelevant point about the people with the opposing views to devalue their opinion.

It is completely irrelevant if they know the person or not. The motive behind saying such things is purely to make the other side sound worse.

Please read up on logical fallacies...
