  1. Here is the entire rework in question. Maybe instead of +1'ing to someone that clearly cannot read an in depth revamp to a completely outdated warframe. I give examples as to why the abilities in his kit are bad but clearly your primary focus is to waste time on one outdated ability and not the rest.
  2. I quite literally put out a rework yet you completely ignored it. Lol. Probably because avalanche doesn't really offer anything else that's worth mentioning in my experience. Language, friend. It sort of is, though. How am I supposed to be compelled to use avalanche over the competition? Kind of does, though. One is a helminth subsume the other is forced on an outdated warframe. That's why we have unairu for the alternative. Some people want to give frost a stronger kit. Is that too much to ask for after... idk... 9 YEARS? No, because caliban is not frost therefor it is completely irrelevant to the topic, lol. Nice try on the troll.
  3. Huh it's almost as if when people complain at some point DE just says #*!% it and stops listening. On a more serious note, I have no issue killing enemies at cap with melee weapons. Probably just me, however, running n optimized and rivened dragon nikana build alongside primers. When people see "x got reduced" in patch notes they automatically assume said thing is completely useless hence the whole sheepish community being completely negelegent to the sheer power creep the game has recieved over the years. Regardless, this is off topic to the discussion at hand and the quote replied to was an example of the reasoning behind galvanized mods being added to primaries. Nice attempt on the troll, though.
  4. A permanent armor strip does not generally matter if the enemy in question is dead before the timer hits 0 or the armor removal gets nullified. And still having a lower energy costs allows for more leniency on top of being able to fully restore shields with one augur mod and brief respite.
  5. Massive oversight on energy consumption. However, point still stands. Why run frost for avalanche when I can put on wukong and subsume terrify for the same effect? That's the problem with avalanche in that it doesn't offer anything particularly useful over other counterparts. seeking shuriken? That ability is primarily an augment so 1. not even base function 2. is single target and mainly used for demolysts. Now we can get into legitimate comparisons. Unairu is a focus school that can be ran on any warframe and armor strips at the cost of passively regenerative energy. There is a downside of there being stronger focus schools for specified setups. Terrify can be ran on any warframe and pretty much does what avalanche wants to do but with a faster response time and less energy consumption over time. Cost over time: 75-100 150-200 225-300 300-400 375-500 can keep going but generally speaking if a helminth ability is doing what an ultimate ability on one warframe does already for any warframe then I think that's an issue. you also have tharros strike that is also a decent option over seeking shuriken example as it pushes demolysts back. then there's caliban but he's considerably bad too so. I want you to know that this is a post about the state of frost and how considerably bad he is in the current state of the meta and not a stare down of reminding viewers why they wouldn't want to use him. Oh wow minor differences that quite frankly doesn't offer anything over the universal option presented.
  6. You're welcome, and it sure was lol. It's more of the riven mods than the other mods if anything else. But that's another can of worms to open. It's more of a means to allow weapons to do reasonably well in steel path. It is logical considering it is intentionally designed to be Warframe's hard mode. It is to challenge your understanding of the mods you equip and the equipment you have been using to progress through the game. Oh yes exactly. There are so many things that the game blatantly forgets to tell the player that it cannot be typed in one single forum page. You don't need to have them maxed out, just that having them maxed out serves a much easier use case. Most of the arcanes were reworked to have more leniency on rank up. That wasn't the case prior to the mods being released along with the arcanes. Was it possible to hit cap and kill enemies? Yeah. But you could only achieve it with certain weapons factoring the stats actually mattered on the weapon you ran. Most people will complain about not being able to kill steel path enemies but will at the same time refuse the equipment the game hands them to achieve the damage to defeat the forces thrown at them. That is called challenging the player. And anytime the game does that, people complain about it and it gets nerfed. Now you know why there are so many veterans that complain about people who bad mouth "meta" which in itself is an idiom and a complete joke. I play solo as I cannot stand playing with people that have little to no team coordination nor do I put that expectation on them. So feel free to talk about anything solo wise I promise I can cover the area effectively well. Advice or worries, I can help.
  7. Overall, this post is just "I hate the very thing people have been asking for years on end to make guns reasonably viable in late game content." I don't say that in disrespect, I'm saying this is complete negligence of the reasoning behind said mods and arcanes being added to the game for guns. The first wave was Hemorrhage and Internal bleeding. I recommend researching this.
  8. It was based on melee's mods of building combo to increase damage ie blood rush weeping wounds and gladiator mod set bonus, Aptitude, Shot, and Savvy are to be similar to condition overload (which boggles my mind as to why people run merciless with it considering it is additive to base damage similarly to original condition overload). Then build for it. You don't see eidolon hunters wasting time building up stacks of aptitude or chamber. Based on Melee 3.0 that was and is still dominant in the game. Exactly. Which is why we don't have a good new player experience...and in that same time frame they don't need those mods which is why they are locked behind arbitrations where you'd need to complete every node in the game similar to steel path as a way to prepare the player for steel path. No. It was the power creep of melee 3.0. That's why Berserker was changed to berserker fury and blood rush was reverted to a whopping 40% crit chance per combo multiplier. And even that wasn't enough.
  9. Then why complain that you have to kill enemies in a horde shooter to get more damage
  10. Generally people susbume over her 3. Not sure why people would bother to subsume any of her abilities off regardless. She is a support. If you want dps, use a dps focused warframe. Such as.... Kullervo. I mainly use citrine along with wukong and kullervo. Each have a different role and none power creep the other in my eyes. What do the 3 have in common? 4 good abilities and a good passive. I understand why you would think crystalize would need a buff but having it as a more reliable banshee sonar in my eyes ends up being good enough for me to not want any changes. Though if it does get buffed the crystals would always form on heads for the extra 3sx headshot multiplier that is multiplied on top of your current critical damage value...and now you see why it's fine.
  11. Only way I'd update Storm of Ukko would to allow it to have placement based on reticle rather than to be cast specifically on Kullervo so that he has an instant area of denial CC he can rely on against crowds of enemies.
  12. Terrify is a helminth subsumable Avalanche that casts faster and only costs 50 energy with literally the exact same base stats as Avalanche. You mean kpm? Regardless, if you can't immediately kill unarmored units then clearly you should keep wasting 100 energy for a copium ultimate that needs an update. Wow all of that for 100 energy on one warframe. Who cares about the secondary effects if unarmored units have the health value of an armored butcher? Makes no sense why I would care about Avalanche over a helminth subsumed ability that does the exact same thing.
  13. considering that terrify does exactly what avalanche wants to do with the exact same stats of range and armor strip for only 50 energy and it can be applied to any warframe, nah.
  14. Consider it done. New passive: When hit by any source, frost has an 80% chance to proc the enemy with cold status. Each cold status Frost applies to an enemy reduces the damage he receives from heat, puncture, and toxin to an upwards of 50%. Immune to slow effects and cold procs (artic eximus auras, cryotic sortie modifier, cryotic containers for example). Freeze: frost freezes a target for (x) seconds. Killing that target freezes nearby targets in (y) radius applying all afflicted status effects. This is to update an old ability that doesn't see much use other than popping snow globes. The range of afflicted enemies on target kill is affected by range mods. Freeze duration and status duration on secondary effect are affected by mods. This can now completely remove armor dependent on avalanche's armor removal value and when cast on an enemy affected by avalanche it increases their damage vulnerability to all sources. However, the armor removal only effects the initial target. The damage vulnerability is applied to nearby enemies and stacks on another if an enemy under the effect of the vulnerability is killed. This effect only adds said vulnerability to enemies under the damage vulnerability effect. Freeze force now applies to elemental combinations and as a singular proc source. this is to have a reliable means of using the augment in the circuit. Ice wave Damage is heavily converted into Ips values. This is for lower levels. applies 5 stacks of cold status. this is to synergize with his passive. enemies slowed have reduced accuracy. This is to help out in later missions. Ice wave impendence now freezes targets on max cold stacks for x seconds. This is to make it a better option in helminth. Ice wave now instantly knocks down nearby enemies in a 5 meter radius This is to give frost more breathing room when casting an upper body ability. Snow globe Invulnerable for 5 seconds and accumulated damage to health is by percentage. hold cast snow globe to have frost walk around with it as a shield. as requested by players. base range increased from 5m radius to 8m radius. Wanted to push the extra defensive value of snow globe without overshadowing mass vitrify. Shots from the outside from allies now bypass the globe. Enemies now have a chance to become frozen for every second spent in snow globe. It also now has a chance to apply cold status for every second enemies spend in the globe if they have overguard. chilling globe now pushes enemies outside of snow globe when they are frozen dealing 50% of their health as true damage regardless of collision. While this will not bypass overguard's damage nullification towards health, it will still push eximus units and the like out. chilling globe now also provides a damage reduction value to frost and allies within snow globe. this is to make frost a formidable defensive warfame at higher levels. Snow globe now has a UI change to show how much health it has similarly to gara's splinter storm damage UI. This is to help new players understand advanced mechanics of Warframes earned at the same early state of the game. Avalanche Increased 60% armor strip value at base to 80% This is to compensate for terrify, a helminth ability, having 50% armor reduction for half of the energy cost. Increased base range from 15 meters to 22 meters. This ability is to provide a reason to cast 100 energy and helps new players understand how cc is supposed to function. Increased casting speed. This is because frost is completely vulnerable while casting avalanche and wouldn't allow for the player to counteract any eximus unit. icy avalanche updated to apply frost's passive. this will now have the respectful damage resistances for cold status effects applied count towards the overall health pool of frost's overguard. I've used frost so much that he is my 3rd most used Warframe on a 7-year-old account. The whole idea of the rework was to make warframe the prime example of what the cold proc is supposed to be; a sheer force of will to be unstoppable. Would love feedback.
  15. I can respect that standpoint as I have used limbo enough to have him as my second most used warframe on a 7 year old account and I have came across enough newer limbo players to understand why his kit isn't new player friendly. I don't think you should hate the player for trying to understand him but I think you should help them understand how the kit works because the wording of his abilities are confusing to a lot of players. You can shoot through the rift from one side to the other because the rift is in a completely different area dimensionally. If I see an enemy on the opposite side off cataclysm and they aren't in the rift and I currently am not, I can shoot them. Inside the rift on the other hand, why would that be an issue? It's primarily a defensive ability to prevent damage and crowd control a certain area. For sorties and arbitrations he can however cheese the absolute hell out of it because it generally consists of one operative and having them in the rift prevents 99.9999999% of incoming damage. Most of the time in public play you are too far away from teammates if you are incentivized to use last gasp. In solo play you can turn off cataclysm. I think that generally most players aren't aware that reviving is a thing in this game. Which requires team work. Sorry but please specify when this was? I have a hard time thinking that anybody playing limbo with the current reputation of being "borderline useless due to eximus" has some sort of god complex. I don't feel they intentionally try to sabotage the game, I think they play the game they want to (as most randoms do) and when you don't like how they're playing you go off on them. That's my assumption. I don't say that to be disrespectful, I say it in that the context of your situation is very vague when most people don't experience it. Understandable. I mean, I'm currently using wukong and volt to solo everything in the game and it's boring...... for the randoms. Lol! Jokes aside, People have preferences and some warframes excel in areas others don't. Doesn't make them better overall. Makes the, play a role. You don't fight toxicity with even more hatred. You point out the problem in a respectful manner. Although you didn't mean to incite people, your wording implied such in the original post. Your main complaint is one warframe that keeps getting nerfed update after update despite there being other troll warframes such as titania lantern in defense missions or wukong afk. Limbo doesn't need a rework, he needs a buff. Compare limbo to other warframes that desperately need a rework. Hydroid has: A passive that makes no sense for his kit and has no practical use outside of conclave the second worst cc ability in the game behind decoy, scratch that banish decoy for memes a lackluster mobility tool an outdated dps ability that's essentially worse mesmer skin a cc ability that got powercreeped by pilfering strangledome because of whipclaw's reliable kpm. Inaros has: The most useless passive in the entire game because you can never use it when you need/want to a poor cc ability sitting in one spot being immune without doing anything that is overshadowed by operator void mode a meme ability an ability that is never used for intentional design but instead the augment Loki has: A riven cracking passive a useless cc ability (see the trend?) the only thing keeping him relevant in the form of invisibility a useless cc ability with a mid augment overshadowed by vazarin dash a useless cc ability How about limbo? Passive allows him to reside in the rift and exit it without energy and he can get energy return when killing rifted enemies good for early game when people get him An ability that completely stops enemies which is why overguard had to be fixed to ignore it completely An ability that keeps enemies into the rift indefinitely and has an augment for insane damage multiplication An ability that has complete area denial and locks down an area preventing outside damage How are these frames fixed? Inaros: gloom, out tanking damage. One useful ability. Hydroid: resonator, having enemy ai turned off completely relying on shooting enemies in undertow with an unreliable means to shoot them Loki: you'd have to tell me at this point. Limbo: silence/breach surge for endles to turn off eximus ai, Breach surge to nuke entire rooms and hit damage cap. Don't want damage? Limbo: Nourish complete support build. Energy return for allies and damage immunity. Now, how is limbo disruptive? I truly do not understand. I mean, revenant at this point is just old wukong with one other good ability. If they're using thralls instead of killing enemies then quite frankly that's the reason this game's meta is complete dog. ok now that is absolutely hilarious. Let me waste all of my energy to be prevented from recasting my only means of survival to deal significantly less damage than a modded mk1 braton. Lovely. Tbh if you're tired of playing with meta heads you can always hit me up a chat and we can play together. Rather than to play public, why not surround yourself with people who are like minded and invite them to play the missions you want to with you?
  16. Ok I appreciate it friend. I've been doing heavy build crafting investments into kullervo. I just don't like using avenger over arcanes like augmented, reconstruct, or reaper in some scenarios like on wukong (as an example) I run triumbral with arcane reaper and arcane strike. I worry more about how the build lifts up the way I play the frame but at that standpoint I contradict myself. Wow that's actually crazy, thank you for pointing this out. I know of said bug because I tested soma incarnon with harrow and even the flat cc buff doesn't do anything to help. I mean that I've built for high health and armor before with inaros and out tanked level 7k but at the same time if I slip up and I'm not consistently fighting off enemies I will be punished. I'm saying that high health and armor isn't as bad as I initially thought, just that it's easier to use a shield gate. I like to run multiple configurations for level cap just to test them out and play the game outside of sim. Overall I do appreciate the feedback. I think that kullervo has an amazing kit but due to not having inaros or nidus levels of god like tanking he's a bit held back. at the same time however he has a lot of potential to shift the meta in the right direction.
  17. I apologized to the person in question as I don't understand and fully grasp the concept of others who do not think the same way I do. I thought they would've found it funny. It's ironic that you say that but also disregard the points I made in my last reply. Again I have been respectful towards you. How I deal with others is between myself and them and again I already apologized and talked with them. It's not a shield, and if you think it is thats a greater insult.
  18. I don't build for 300% critical chance, hence it has diminishing returns. I've used it on my build perfectly fine. We are two in different parts of the game. Sure you can tell me the dps is lowered but you also claim to not like running to cap to begin with. While I understand the frustration at those levels having the initial dps in an instant is more important to the way I play kullervo. Smeeta has a flat buff if I'm not mistaken meaning it would have diminishing returns with avenger if I'm not mistaken but again I can be proven wrong. Glad it's not capped, then. Good to know. I don't enjoy shield gate between you and I but also I do play content in the game that isn't meant to be reached, so it is my fault for doing so haha. I just find it fun. Recompense is essentially doing what ~3 mods and a dragon key do on most frames in one button press making it substantially stronger. I'm saying that if you run armor and health only (ran 13k hp inaros vs level 7k) and you aren't consistently making sure you are outselling enemies you will be punished HEAVILY. I also love it that way. Now I see it as such, maybe you are correct. Nailed it at the end.
  19. sure. yes. I can kill enemies with my guns. Shocker, I know. He was used because he could cheese. It's not about being the strongest, it's about being the most efficient. considering that he just got reworked and Pablo refuses to change him any further, I'd say that there's no chance any of it goes anywhere regardless. but at the same time most people can get an understanding of how the movement system works. Code Of Conduct: Respect for all in Warframe – WARFRAME Support not cool dude. Do not insult my intelligence because I quote the staff after pulling the card for the last comment. Seriously. I've used the kit without helminth, it's fine. I just like using breach surge. You have the argument of causality yet hate somebody using a casual setup. Yes. Because he got a recent rework and Pablo went "his passive is fine." The same man that made nidus, harrow, reworked wukong, saryn, and nezha, thought his passive was fine. point still stands. I can turn off speed. I cannot turn off haste mote without going into a void. Cold procs. *her passive. Get the right pronoun, it's 2023. also the most susbumed slot in ***her*** kit. You know what else applies heat status? My gun. So much so, you see it in everyone's helminth build. Not. 250% strength tempest barrage can't even kill a level 50 corrupted butcher for 55+ energy. Literally worse than every other ability in its catergory and you're going to act like it's comparable to something of the likes of shock that can kill a level 50 corrupted butcher? emote It's to point out how other warframes with similar abilities get the same treatment. Fireball and Freeze are also single target and have little to no practical use but synergize with their kit somehow. I've been respectful in the last reply and this one. I ask you do not insult my intelligence because I do have a disability and that doesn't fly with me.
  20. I can totally understand that, too. Steel path pushes for squads rather than solo, but for the people who want difficulty they can run it solo and have a good time. We are seemingly in a point in the game where we are so power crept that even changing enemy ai at this point wouldn't do anything. I understand now that your build is specifically for the content you run and yes it was entirely my fault for not realizing such.
  21. aight. Never got the incarnon form too lazy to go to get it installed, ironic, no? good to know however that its single target is up there in terms of dps. I'll take it for a spin.
  22. In today's meta I don't know why they wouldn't just revert the mark change. obviously to how it functioned originally just instead of automatically having him teleport with his clones let the clones target enemies
