  1. I thought the litch system was bad enough from what I already knew about it. but then i learned that the amount of damage any given litch weapon has is #*!%ing random. needing to kill 13 litches on average to get a specific weapon you want is bad enough, but then add onto it the possibility that the elemental type that weapon drops with can be anywhere between 25% and 85% extra on top of the base damage? I dont wanna research this any more than i have or i might get a brain hemmorage so im just going to assume DE has a fraction of a soul and it drops at 5% increments instead of 1% so the rng isn't completely unpheasable, with this assumption the likelyhood of getting a max damage roll on a specific weapon you want (assuming its the same likelihood for every weapon and every possible %) is ROUGHLY 0.7%, meaning you'll have to kill approximately 143 of these bastards on average to get any specific thing you're after. as if the roughly 8% chance for any individual weapon wasn't bad as it is with the way these things work. nobody wants random stats on a weapon, especially when they're quite possibly the hardest most tedious weapons to farm for to date. this system is nothing but a massive #*!% you to the entire playerbase as it stands with just the way the weapons work alone. and just about every other aspect of the kuva litch system is just unacceptably rng heavy on top of it.

Funny you say checking out destiny 2 when the gameplay is basically similar to grendel mission where you have no way to brute force through, not to mention the sluggish walk/run speed if you don't sacrifice your resilience (max HP) and recovery (heal speed)

Yes except the gameplay of destiny 2 is built and balanced around that. Trying to solo a nightfall ordeal strike in destiny 2 at the power level cap might be comparable in difficulty. Its a very different game with very different mechanics.

That was me, I used Revenant, War, Rubico, Akarius to solo. And I was too forgetful to also equip cunning drift like I should've

no mods*** cunning drift would do nothing, or you're playing a different game than we are

  4. Most people didn't get into this game to play #*!%ing darksouls and darksouls is 20x easier than this S#&$. this isn't MEANT to be a skill based game, some people don't want a challenge 1/10th as unfair as this is. I'm seeing people saying it forces you to be creative but it doesn't. it forces you to wait for someone else to come up with a somewhat remotely plausible setup to get through these. there's way too many weapons and other vaiables in this game for the average person to possibly go through and math out which ones could possibly gives you a fighting chance at these challenges. a lot of the meta weapons are useless here because they rely on mods to be the strength they are. throw that away and it could be any of the thousands of weapons in the game that could get you through this that you have no hope of finding out which would work unless you were DEEPLY into the mechanics of the game, to a degree that anyone with anything else going on in their lives couldn't possibly be. this feels like de deliberately made a challenge as difficult as they could possibly some up with to push people into paying platinum for it, but juuuuust plausible enough to not cause a complete riot.

Like I said in the last couple of these threads: google SAM steam.

But use it while not ingame and don't use it on any VAC game

I don't care how safe people say that is, I'm not risking a ban from anything over some broken achievements

A legit way? Nope. Letting people play on your account (even if it is "just" Steam account and not the actual game account) is never a good idea.

Edit: Well maybe the achievements unlock by doing them again, but I wouldn't count on it.

It was on my computer. We didn't even think to log out of my steam and log on to his. He just logged onto his warframe account on my pc cus we were hanging out at my place. His warframe account WAS linked to his steam at the time.
Completing the achievements again on a new warframe account would likely complete them on his steam. the annoying part is most of them are mastery related which would be a total pain in the ass to do again.

  7. A Friend of mine played on his warframe account on my computer while my steam account was logged on and not his. Unlocked quite a few achievements while doing so and he's now missing achievements in his steam that he has in game. Is there a way to fix this? he tried unlinking then linking back his steam in the options already.

  8. The Parazon is a mandatory item it seems, you HAVE to have it, and you put both both metallic and matte color sections in the accents channel. People have been complaining for YEARS about gear that have two different materials on the same color channel, and yet you do this on a mandatory piece of gear? You guys are doing this on purpose at this point.

But it is a gamble. Even if you don't want to call it that. DE never said that Kuva will be back at certain times. People got their hopes up and it didn't happen. So they took a gamble and lost.

Nobody got #*!%ed by DE, like OP wants to put it. People got #*!%et by themselves for taking a risk that didn't pay off. But it's today's culture to blame others, because that is easier.

It's in no way a gamble if you didn't avoid spending your credits on something you wanted in hopes something better would appear. When something good pops up that I could use a lot of I would spend most of the credits I had on it and save a small amount just in case. I didn't really gamble on anything. Just amassed a large amount of credits between the last time something worth buying popped up and now. Credits that I worked for and now basically have to waste on stuff I have no use for. That's the problem here.

  10. I'm sure tons of people hold onto a lot of their credits till the end of a given nightwave in case something big that they want a lot of shows up, like kuva for example, or many people just don't have anything they need to spend it on except that. seems like a $&*^ move, completely $&*^ing over anyone with a ton of leftover nightwave creds by not putting anything worth getting a lot of (ie kuva, beacons, the orbiter decoration, or any high value aura [basically just corrosive projection and steel charge]) in the last week's offerings aside from what's always available (nitain, catalysts, and reactors, all of which you can easily reach a point where you'll never need anymore of them)

  11. An open market would be a bad idea for a number of reasons but I do feel players should be able to trade with each other a lot easier. The requirement of the clan dojo is somewhat annoying. Just having to go through an unnecessary loading screen and wait for the person with the slowest internet to load in before the trade can commence takes an extra bit of time that it really doesn't need to. Being able to trade with someone by just right clicking on their name in the chat would be a huge step up in convenience from the current system without breaking the economy balance.

thank you. now with the composer from that link my main complaint about the system is the note limit. tho we REALLY shouldn't NEED a 3rd party program to do this sort of thing. something like that should just be in the game

i feel like the thing'll get dropped as fast as any other novelty in this game just because of how non user friendly it is

press w to go into songs. then autoplay

ohhhkay i found it. still if you want to make you're own songs you have to play them yourself and record them which sucks if you're bad at it untill someone figures out how to read the code and write it to play a song exactly the way you want it. plus there's the note limit imposed by doing it that way

    theres 3 buttons

there's 4 sets of 3 buttons for each note. plus one more button for vibrato

12 notes total (not counting strums) it wouldn't be difficult if each note had its own button but all but the lowest 3 of them require you to hold one of 3 other buttons to play. you're not likely gonna be using the lowest 3 notes available to you so playing any sort of actual song will have you juggling 6 different buttons to try and play 12 different notes which gets confusing really quickly. its practically as hard to learn how to play as a real instrument if a bit simplified. and most people don't want to learn how to play an instrument in a shooting game. Yeah its a side thing that dosn't effect anything but it's fun to insert your own songs into a game for others to hear, not so fun when the game slaps a MASSIVE learning curve over it in the form of having to practically learn a lagit instrument, instead of a simple composer that then auto plays your songs. starbound did this pretty well. you basically just slap a converted midi file into a folder in the game files tiled "songs" and the game auto plays it on your preferred instrument when you select it in the menu. just about any game that has that sort of guitar hero ui for playing things has a separate button for every note. an additional issue with this configuration is you can't play 2 notes at the same time that are under two different hold down buttons. it has a lot of problems all around. making macros for the songs could be a solution, but macros are pretty complicated themselves sometimes. the simplest most intuitive macro I've found doesn't work with warframe for some reason, and the game might see someone macroing a 5 minute song with 7 different inputs as afk farming and flag them for it.

pretty much only musicians can use this in the state it's in now and that alienates a huge portion of the playerbase

It's the same effect as Lokis invisibility and not a bug, I think it was always as that. Turn off color correction in options to reduce this effect.

ah yes disabling color correction fixed this thank you. it seems I never had that setting on before and it got flipped on somehow. radeon graphics driver probably did it when it overwrote all my games' graphics settings. this still looks fundamentally broken to me tho, this can't possibly be intentional.

Save for the reticle which retains my energy color, and the rest of the ui, everything in game changes color like this when mesa's 4 is active. It looks SUPER ugly. its not just washing out yellows ether as you can see the purple energy effect from the grineer structure turns pure blue. This does happen in regular missions as well as open worlds.

OH GREAT Atayan sculptures again...thanks DE, not sure why I even bother with this game anymore

If you just do the atayan weekly and save them up instead of slotting them immediately this act really isn't terrible at all. Yeah its a bit annoying but when you know the act is a thing that exists you can easily prepare for it. Even early game I rarely sold my sculptures for endo until I actually needed to. Usually dissolving spare mods gets you enough endo to get by untill you need to max out a prime mod or other 20,000+ endo mod like vitality ext, and you can usually get away with not maxing those and just leaving them 2 or 3 ranks short untill you have the resources. As much as I'v hated nightwave since it's release I never really understood all the hate the atayan act gets, especially now that it's WAY more reasonable. It doesn't really force you to spend resources you might wanna save, or save resources you might wanna spend, like polarize does, and guild use to before it was removed, on top of the hour or so it would take to bring the rank of any equipment involved up to rank 30 for ether of those. The only time the atayan act is annoying is the first time a person encounters it if they didn't know it was a thing before then, because they couldn't have prepared for it. Even if you're caught completely with your pants down and have none at all, its not too hard to get the two you need, and I say two because the weekly one is just a given. There are loads of ways to get them. You could probably even just bum a couple cheap ones off someone in global or trade chat if you're really desperate for them. Maybe trade them for some already slotted identical atayans you have on you if no one's willing to give them up for free. you're more than likely to end up with way more stars than you'll ever need anyways provided you actually pick them up when they drop.
