  1. Someone explain something to me.  I have not been around for a few months, only logging on and off for rewards and not really playing.  Burnt out.  I starting playing the game today, happened to jump in on a hijack mission.  I noticed that the reactor was less than half way dead, and I came in as Limbo to help.  I figured I would freeze a bunch of enemies and keep them from making the reactor go critical.  Just in time too because we were nearing the end where extraction was and i figured the mission would fail.  With my help the mission was a success, but afterwards I look down in the chat and see someone typed "ST".   I can only assume this was either an attempt to say STOP or someone wanted to abbreviate "Stupid Troll".

Is what I did considered "trolling" with Limbo these days?  ...or did I completely misunderstand the situation and am looking too deeply into the "ST" message?

  2. That doesn't seem intentional.  Devs probably overlooked it.

How would this have troll potential?   You mean players would not bother to revive someone because they will assume that they have plenty of time to do it, so they will simply procrastinate on reviving people and continue playing?

  3. It's a DOT ability.  Those are never overpowered and never worth complaining about.  Some people have not been around back when Ember actually was overpowered.

If on low level missions then yes, it kills instantly.  In higher levels, this is not the case and WOF becomes a support role power with DOT.

If you wish to complain about a warframe or power or anything else, try to have an open mind and test it out more or learn more about it first.

It makes little sense to base game changes on the cliche "it killed enemies before i could kill them".  That complaint is not helpful and also old and childish.

I always felt she needed to be stronger because she doesn't do much at higher levels, that, and she is squishy.

(For some of you that obviously don't know, "AFK" means 'away from keyboard'.  It is not used for people that are too lazy to actually play during a mission and would rather let warframe powers do all the work.  Those people are just simply lazy, not afk.)

  4. Just now, Chipputer said:

Well, most people that would find themselves on this forum, anyway.

Whatever happened to that re-make they were going to put out, anyway? Did it never pan out, or something?

I have no idea.  I can only assume they decided not to do it, being that new age generations don't bother with reading things (such as books).  It's the age of the iphone now.

  5. I often encounter this bug where she becomes invincible without end.  It occurs when switching weapons either before or after entering Hysteria.  It also happens when equipping scanners.  Normally I can still attack, as if in Hysteria, but will take damage if attacked and if I attack she will claw her enemies because she is locked in the Hysteria animation, but today I could not attack by claws or gun or sword.  I could not interact with consoles or revive players.  I literally could do nothing but run around and allow myself to get hit without taking any damage.

The warframe I used at the time was Valkyr Prime, though I have encountered this with the normal Valkyr.  It seems to happen more often with Valkyr Prime.

  6. The problem with coming up with such punishment is that it can backfire.   It's not just the afkers you will be punishing, but everyone.   There are times when things happen like the game will mess up, or you get stuck in the environment, or internet connection fails, or even your control bug out, and that could lead to the misconception of being afk.

In Star Trek Online, I lately experience afk penalties constantly, and I'm not even afk.  I participate as much as a the rest of the team, but after every mission i get penalized and can't play for two hours.  That's simply because in that game, there are players that outperform others, and when my characters are outperformed, the game's system perceives it as being "afk" or "not participating".

When you think to punish people, you are not just punishing the culprits, you are incorporating everyone.  There is really no real way to single out the bad individuals unless you yourself decide to report them.  You can report those people by taking a screenshot and going to the warframe website and select to report afkers.  Then write the ticket and explain the situation.  Let support think about how to punish people.
