i was doing a solo normal spy on Jupiter (not a syndicate), and all of a sudden this devotee spawn infront of me, tired to kill him but then u realised he was like an ally, he followed me everywhere like clone, and after a while he disappeared. any idea where he came from or who is he? and what was he holding in his hand

A devotee. A random spawn when someone is downed in your mission. It is tied to this Nightwave season.

This is a Devotee. They spawn to revive you sometimes. It is to do with the current NW - have a look at some of the video transmission things.

That is not relevant. That does not change their function. They are still a Devotee for NW. They still try to revive you when possible.

• That only means their spawns are not tied to someone needing a revive.

but what NW has to do with a simple mission not related to NW?

and when was that introduced?

You seem to have missed the point. I could try and argue that we had to do Spy missions for NW this week, or that you could get kills/mods/credits etc in that mission (so technically it could count as a NW mission). But that is irrelevant, it is not about it being a NW mission, it is about it being a WF mission. They can spawn in any mission regardless.
