Well, in the past we had combos that allowed you to move however you saw fit. You could walk backwards, or strafe, or run forwards while attacking. There was no problem with animations either, if anything it looked better than now. So the question isn't how should it be done, it is "why was it undone"? It's the reason why I use the Orthos Prime and very little else. Unfortunately, DE went and #*!%ed polearms up the arse just over a year ago and if you have too high an attack speed (read: primed fury plus a wisp, volt, valkyr or arcane strike), then their entire animation chain breaks. I consider wisp reservoirs to be the most dangerous enemy in the entire game because of this. Dual swords also suffered a similar fate, though I don't know how mobile their combo is. Wolfchild07
It'd be nice if we could select which inputs we want to use for which combos. I actually like just pressing E and certain favoured weapon combos automatically moving me forward. I don't really want to hold W (or W + RMB) for the entirety of the mission. Mashing E is enough. (XBOX)YoungGunn82
I’m also tired a meleeing through enemies wondering if I even hit them.
