What Do You Dislike About Warframe

the only thing i dislike is the lack of story. everytime they put out a new event or little thing with lore behind it, im super happy..and then its gone. all im really hoping for is a more fleshed out story and characterization. the gameplay is fine for me currently and it seems to get stronger with each update. at least on the ps4.

They're going to add permanently the previous events somehow in the last DevStream.

Why all the negativity would it not be better to make a thread asking what people like about warframe rather than being negative.

While I understand this logic, being all sunshine and rainbows about it and not raising questions about the  problems in this game is a problem within itself imo.

On topic though! My main problem is the rng in this game, if they could get a middle ground, I probably would play this game a lot more than I do now. Wouldn't make me feel the grind like I do whenever I play this game for an hour. Just fix the rng DE! All I ask at this point.!

Love the game. But oh god, where to begin.

- Almost complete lack of lore.
This seriously needs to be fleshed out.

- Lack of direction in the game.
No clearly defined end-game plus no story missions/campaign makes this fairly directionless. It's a grind to grind, more or less.

- Balance.
Some frames, for example, are lacking in higher levels compared to others. Also, some weapons being completely worthless compared to others.

- Infested not having their own planet/system anymore.
Give them back a damn planet already. No one likes having to wait for infestations or getting OD groups just to fight them. They're the most entertaining faction to fight (Personal opinion).

- Higher level systems have exactly no one else in them.

Making clearing all systems past a certain point boring and/or a pain in the &#!. Maybe add some actual incentive to completing them. Might help get rid of the whole taxi situation some people seem to hate (referencing post earlier in the thread).

- Those @#$$%$^)*#@$)@#*$@# broken lights.
Who thought that was a good idea? Who? Whoever it was, please purchase a cardboard box and go live under a bridge. I hate you.

- Rushers.

Honestly, a lot of this has to do with how easy 99% of the content is with a full group, regardless of rank. And no, those stupid $$)*@#)*$#$)@*%#$)%* lights are not a solution. They're just aggravating/potential health hazard to everyone.

- RNG

Stop diluting the void with more parts. Maybe create a new area to get the new prime items you keep making.

- Leveling forma'd weapons.

I've already ranked the thing to 30. On top of that, I have to spend a very rare resource that I either had to farm for, or paid platinum for. Why the hell should I have to rank it up again? Especially if I get no mastery points for doing so.

- Invasions.
Not enough thought put into the idea. Rewards are pretty much always one-sided. Which means that most people will overwhelmingly choose one faction over the other because the reward is just that much better. Also, only one mission type for invasion? Lazy.

- Escort sucks (The recent event mission type. Personal opinion).

- Corpus are utterly boring to fight (Personal opinion).

- Lack of in-game roleplaying support (Kind of goes hand-in-hand with the lack of lore thing. 99% of people will not care about this).

- Stalker and it's variants.

Spawn chance and loot tables could use work.

- Melee is not a viable alternative to gunplay.

- TIlesets are terribly overused.
Aside from Phobos and Earth, pretty much every other system has the same damn tileset. Goes a long way towards speeding up the burnout factor.

Overall, it's a great game. The framework is there, but there is a crapton that needs to be addressed and added to this game. Something like direction, an alternative to artificial game filler (RNG, etc), a fleshed out universe, more enemy diversity, more customization options, etc.

It's all there. The game is good, but I'm already pretty bored at this point (And I haven't even gotten many primes or anything like that. I just realize that those are not a means to and end in a game like this. Just means the next week or month i'll have to farm the SAME content over again to get the new shiny item).

I'm sure it'd be foolish to think the devs actually read topics like this, but you can only hope. Man...this and Rust, sad.

Well spoken. I see this thread becoming a flamewar within the hour.

DE learns from this, that's what forums are for and feedback makes it better:)

For me -

No progressive storyline throughout the game only when you start then your left hanging.

oh...and the silly lights.

True that... but I said what I did because there is people being targeted in these posts as if they were flaws in the game.

By the way, I predicted this thread would become a flamewar within the hour... I have this unusual curse, nothing I predict ever comes true. You're all welcome! XD

Sometimes i like to paint myself orange and pretend im a carrot.

Well, there went my green tea. All over the screen it went. >_<;

(good job btw, didn't expect to rolf so hard while reading this.)

Slightly new but found a few things that just grinds my gears:

-melee: You press E once while in combat and the game thinks you want to swing again.

Getting staggered while pressing spacebar to jump, only to find out that the game once again thinks you want to swing

your sword again.

-Sprint Jump: cant do it when youre 1 block away from the edge. Wont let you do it unless youre three blocks away.

-NPCs: They would rather talk to the console command than to feed you some daily dose of Iron.

(I've had 3 do this at the same time, no one shot me. all dead before they finished either)

That's about it for me, I'm going to go back and enjoy killing things to blow off steam.

The game unlike many others lacks an objective. There is no clear "End Game" activities. a rank 1 could instantly jump to do high ranked missions with no restrictions whatsoever, Which in the end make them miss out on lots of content.

What the game needs is a proper progression path with better introductions to ( Planets, Bosses, Warframes ) and even some weapons.

Lack of competition and PvP, it severely limits the goals.

There not being a Single player on 90% of the star chart

- Very repetitive. Grind based MMOs are the norm rather than exception nowadays, but the vast majority of them offer a meaning to that. Either you are grinding hours to be more competitive in PvP, or for Raids/etc. In WF you grind to be able to grind more at the moment.

Lack of alternatives for combat based players on mandatory stealth tests for ranking up. I am among one of those players and I *HATE* mandatory stealth.

Level repetition. I'd like to not see the same chunk over and over for once.

Rushers, can't stand them.

Pretty much all of these things.

What do I dislike...?

Lack of Lore

Personally, I'd like to see a lot more lore. My favorite game series, Metroid Prime, is chock-full of lore. The walls, machines, old data logs... most environments give some backstory, even if it's just "so-and-so had coffee today and then died in an accident." Seriously, I live for things like that. If we could pull out the codex on like a Corpus or Grineer tileset and scan the letters and stuff on the walls, and then learn more about their ways of life, that'd be awesome. Or, if we took it to the Void or Derelicts, we could learn more about why the Void is all Void-y and shiny (and maybe learn more secrets... like weapons...?)

End-Game

Another thing I'd like is more end-game content. It's been cool following the story for as long as I have been (only since U9, actually) and watching the Grineer wreck everyone's days has been a fun ride. Those missions where you fight either with Corpus or Grineer (as repetitive as they get) are pretty great as far as story goes. But at the end of the day, sure I have a new gun or something, but it doesn't feel like much has been progressing. And even if Warframe does see an end-game, that doesn't have to be the end of the game. There could still be content added, even as the main story's ended. Side-quests, sequel content, prequel content (more Warframe-y than Dark Sector-y)

Those Effing Lights On Grineer Ships

Oh my god do they suck. If they were not so damaging, or if there were one, maybe two per ship, it wouldn't be so bad, but it's hard to get through a level alive with a weaker frame. My friend suggested (after the lights killed me yet again) that was to stop speedrunning on missions, and I can see the appeal and reasoning behind nerfing speedrunners, but sometimes I absolutely don't have the time to be careful, so I need to go fast, and it's getting real hard to do that on Grineer ships.

Consistency in Weapon Damage Numbers

Sometimes the loadout doesn't update my numbers right and I have to mouse over the weapon a few times to get the right damage values, but this isn't really a game problem so much as a code fix.

Grinding

..yeah.

That's really all the things I dislike, I play the game nearly every day, and I really do love it, but there are some things that I'd like to see worked on.

G3 shows up.

We kill two guys, they drop nothing.

Last guy dies and the purple orb flies out of him.

Right at that moment the game decides to lock up on me. I can see the Brakk part but my game is frozen.

Then it crashes.

Sigh.

- lack of team pvp - 5v5 and such (with sentinels banned/disabled) - - team pvp in a big map with plat rewards and tournaments could be fun and competitive.

.

- the development of exclusive mods and weapons that are clearly superior - - mods like Malignant Force and weapons like the vandle/wraith types should be craft-able.

.

- the young but rapidly growing plat for prime BP trading - - why buy a Rhino Prime for 150 bucks when you can get it, with almost no effort, for 20 bucks in plat.

As someone else already said:

- Quests. Would be nice to have at least a few.

- Customization. Slowly getting more, with the Syandana and skins, but some more would be nice.

- RNG sucks

- Lack of lore, as others said aswell, but since we're still in beta, I guess eventually they'll get to that.

- Not being able to kick afkers and extremely rude people.

I think that's it, ....
