LynxZ4r0Z
Maybe suggest some yourself if you feel they are too childish? For your information i remember HYDROID from somewhere (maybe it was a book or maybe it was from a film) and the thing called HYDROID was pretty much based/bind on water'ish things sooooo HYDROID fits the frame most perfectly and i respect DE's option on it :P EDIT : also kraken? really? reallllyyyy? ya ppl 10 year old? seriously though no offense but just a BIG NO into tah face Edited April 4, 2014 by choole2
armedpoop
Anything is better than Hydroid. So id have to go with Dagon, or Hydros, if you just HAVE to keep "Hydro" in the name.
NightmareT12
So I researched a bit... Nethuns is the Eutruscan name of Poseidon. There's also the whole rivers of the underworld: Styx, Acheron, Cocytus, Phlegethon and Lethe. More ideas?

Morec0
I like it. It fits. His morphing skills make him reminiscent of a number of creatures together, not just one big one - which can be applied to both the botanical and zoological aspects of Hydroid - as is showcased by his "melting" abilities. Also, hydroids are relatives of Jellyfish - his tentacle ability, anyone?
DaftMeat
Hydroid is almost literally "Water-robot". Almost anything else would be an improvement. Dagon or Nautilus.
ShadowsFusion
Nautilus is a really good name and I would definitely prefer something like that over the other name they have for the warframe

(PSN)Hiero_Glyph
I vote for Puddle. Seriously though, Hydroid is so bad that not even a B-movie would use it. I would say Proteus (Proteon) or Triton would be my favorites. Edited April 4, 2014 by (PS4)Hiero_Glyph
eksby
Wait... Thanks for posting this, never heard of this until now... .__. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydroid Huh, did not know of that either. Although to be fair, most people who see "Hydroid" immediately think of robots because of the "droid" part...
Morec0
FINALLY someone who gets eet! :P It's a VERY intelligent name, even compared to something like Vauban, so I can understand why many people are against it. Still, there're are LOT of them, I just hope they don't manage to influence DE away from the name.
